The Kazzle Dazzle showdown with the Darkling will never not be funny to me. The image of Kaz just hightailing out of there after throwing the flashbomb is hiliarious.

inej having her first kill in a church is so brilliant. her choosing kaz over her faith in a split second, instinctual decision!!! i love it so much. also i like how kaz's explanation that the new guy knows how to use grisha locks is a subtle indicator to book fans than he has more up his sleeve, because we know how masterful he is at picking locks himself
YES the symbolism of it all, the way Kaz looks up at her like she is an icon, the music swelling - it’s EVERYTHING 😭 you’re so right, I hadn’t thought of that!! Kaz master lock picker Brekker, I hope we see some of that soon 👀

The church scene was to the show what the Oomen scene was for the books in showing how brutal Kaz can be.

this is such a small detail, but when watching the bit with the Darkling giving Alina the blue flowers, I suddenly remembered the scene in the books where Inej's father is telling her that the boy who takes the time to learn her favorite flower will be the one who truly loves her 🥺 and ofc the Darkling doesn't do that lol, he just cons the info out of Mal
YES that was the first thing that popped in my head when I watched the show for the first time!!! But then the point of this line in the book is about someone who learns to know and appreciate everything about you, so the contrast between Kaz, who understands Inej and gives her what really matters to her in the end and the Darkling fooling Alina with appearances… OOF hahaha
This scene in the church T_T Really the reason I trust the showrunners with Kanej, because they GET IT. Yeah, they speedrun it a bit but they get it.
We're getting so much content lately, especially Crows content... I almost don't want the season to drop, because then it might be over... Netflix i'm in your walls.
I agree so much with that sentiment! Like they understand the tensions and the core of who these characters are and what they mean to each other and that’s so special 🥹 Freddy and Amita especially my God they deliver with each scene!!
If they don’t renew this and we don’t get all the crows content we deserve… it will be my villain origin story lol

Do we know if Alina's powers involve heat as well as light? Bc if they do a blast that close to your face would be painful on two different levels. I can see the pain from the heat and the pain from being blinded being enough to takedown someone who wasn't expecting it.
Yes, I do believe they say her powers create warmth as well! But I have more of a problem with the fact that Jesper and Kaz (especially Kaz lol) wouldn’t have anticipated that move.
