- I Found This Large Wild Egg Underwater While Scuba Diving (Unexplained)
While scuba diving in the river searching for lost river treasure with my underwater metal detector, we found some incredible things, including a large wild unexplained egg (not a chicken egg!), a bunch of sunglasses, some carmex, and a JBL bluetooth speaker that still worked! We saw some turtles, and fish, and I'd call it a great hunt! Thanks to Hampton for joining me on this hunt! He's the brother of CC, whose phone I found earlier this year. Great people!

It could’ve been a duck egg ! You can normally hold a flash light up to an egg to see if anything is inside .

That egg belongs to a bird. Reptile eggs are more oblong and soft to the touch. Either way... the egg is dead. Both reptile and bird eggs are laid out of the water because they are porous and need to have oxygen exchange through the shell. Also... reptile eggs stick to each other or objects to help hold them in place. If you flip or turn a reptile egg you could kill the unhatched infant. Bird eggs do need to be turned so the chick does not stick to the side of the egg. Also that looked like a jumbo chicken egg but might be duck. Probably brought by a camper to make fried eggs. Not sure why it is in the river though. If duck egg... flooding would rob the nest if too close to the water line.

Please don’t remind me I’ve had one for like 9 years now and I’m only 10 and just recently like 2-3 months ago we brought him to a like sanctuary for turtles because he was getting really big and there were no bigger tanks that had a hole for the filter I miss him a lot 😓😓😭😢
