My nephew, Heath, was raised upriver from New Braunfels, in Sattler, and he used to snorkel the river all the time (particularly summers)....he found countless sunglasses and jewelry, and the occasional wallet....did very well for himself until he graduated and went into the navy.

Hubby/I went on one of my bdays. Due to us having lots of fun (& drinks) at piano bar plus every bar closing at same time, it created a crowd of ppl not so steady on their feet folks, all squeezed together on the "suddenly" much more narrow path than before bar 😉 And according to hubby he "saved me" on way back to hotel hubby bc he stumbled & fell but managed to "only" get one leg dunked in the river. He swears someone pushed into us 😂 While I remember him flaying about for a few seconds trying to grab for me as I scooted out of his reach - didn't feel like I was being saved - felt more like I saved myself from him taking us both out by being out of his reach 😎
but I let him tell his "version" of events even tho over the years his "version" each time, seems to add more of "saving me" & less "he stumbled due to drinks" to the story 😉

My friends and I would swim through the tube chute with nothing but goggles and a snorkel on Sunday mornings to see what we could find. The water is super clear in the morning. It’s what actually got me into aquascaping/ aquariums.

An ex-fiance had mine yrs ago n claimed he lost it, but think he prob hocked it. 🤬 I took his wedding band back n ordered another, but it wasn't exactly like what I had n wish I'd have just got a nice piece of jewelry instead. That was 37 yrs ago n I still think of my ring now n then and sure wish I'd have never let him wear it on a chain cuz I worked hard to earn money to buy it. 🤨 So you're not alone n just know our rewards in eternity that await us are much better anyways! 🌅❤🙋♀️
