- We raise Hereford pigs, heritage breed chickens, and we deer hunt for 99.9 percent of our meat supply here on the homestead. That means a lot of meat grinding! For years we have used a smaller grinder than this MEAT! #12. Take a look at our very first run with this new machine. We think you will be as impressed as we are. Happy Thanksgiving and God bless!

I learn so much from y’all. It only proves an old dog (77) can learn new tricks, even from the younger!
Thanks for that Gale! Have a wonderful day!
Coming ill keep watching
You are good people. God bless.
Thanks and God bless
Just found your channel, great work. Earlier this year i traveled the same road, was using a 500watt for years, very slow. But... got the job done, now i have a size 32 1500watt. What can i say... night and day difference. Living off the land and sharing within your community, nothing beat it. God bless to you and yours from all the way in New Zealand
I'm so glad we got this grinder. Hundreds of pounds of venison, pork and chicken have gone through it already. We use it at every major processing we do. God bless and thanks for watching from New Zealand!
That looks freakin delicious! Thanks for the review. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Awesome! Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!
Same to you Geezer!
Great video and great information
Thanks!
Thant's some great looking meat Matthew and I bet it tastes even better. Y'all have been a blessing to me and your other followers out there. I hope you, Lisa and Kyla have the best Thanksgiving ever!
Thanks Mark! You're a blessing to us as well! Lisa made homemade sloppy joes last night with the venison/pork grind and it was awesome. Happy Thanksgiving!
@@PineyWoodsHomestead I bet they were good. Don't forget hamburger steak.
@@MarkWYoung-ky4uc oh there will be plenty of those too!
Enjoy watching yall videos think that new grinder was getting it done I'm a day late watching hope yall had a good Thanksgiving . We do our Thanksgiving meal around 1 o'clock I've found when I'm ready for the company to go home and just family stay nothing works better than start talking about getting some work done that evening and mention you got a pair of coveralls your sure that will fit them works every time my boys get tickled Im sure eventually it will change but both my boys help me friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving with projects can't do on my own I tell wife it's her cooking brings them home but we know that eventually we will lose them to mother in laws yall keep the videos
Happy Thanksgiving y'all. Eventually the nothing in laws will come. Enjoy the way it is while you can!
Great job y'all! That new grinder made short work of it. I know it's not an easy life, and anything that makes it easier is a good thing. Looks like there will be some good chili in your future too. Happy Thanksgiving and stay safe.
Happy Thanksgiving to y'all Judy! The new grinder is wonderful. We ground 55 pounds of burger and sausage in no time. It sure makes it more enjoyable.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Same to you!
You should freeze the auger and all the pieces. I keep mine in the freezer when I’m not using them and I got in auger jacket too, it keep the housing cold. Try to keep the meat really cold practically frozen. It will help with chopping everything up.
That does help. When I have a small batch I do that for sure. When we are processing whole hogs we keep the trimmings in a deep freezer until grinding. That does help nicely. It also helps that when we are processing it's usually in the 30's outside. Somehow I still get hot butchering whole hogs lol. Thanks for the comment! I'll check on a jacket for the auger and see if they make one for this model. Thanks for that tip.
@@PineyWoodsHomestead first off, I need to say. Just from what you wrote saying, I am jealous from where you live. You can hunt, deer & wild hog. I’m telling you I am jealous!!! I want to move upstate and get land. My wife said she’s not going, I told her bye Felicia! 😂 omg I can’t wait to have land and learn how to butcher a deer or Hog. God bless you my friend ✌️
@@iiinsaiii that's funny. Get you some land! We raise our own hogs but there are some wild ones around. We get our share of deer every year. We call it homestead hamburger!
@@PineyWoodsHomestead oh…….God! Stop it. With a Napoleon dynamite voice “ Jealous! “ from your lips to God ear. I can’t wait. God willing 🙏 I will have it. I just want to live off the land.
@@iiinsaiii Lord willing is right!
Great Job with your demonstration of Granny. I don't have that brand but the heavier Duty Grinders you don't have to cut them in chunks you can cut them into strips because it will pull the meat down through the hopper for you that you don't have to use the plunger as much try that technique out and let me know how it works for you
I'll give it a try in a few days. We've got 3 hogs to process over the next few weeks.
looks like Weston / Hamilton beach makes the grinders for MEAT. A lot of matches to the Weston butcher Series.
It's very possible
FTI if ur buying a grinder or anything else fromMEAT wait for the 30% sale I bought a 1ho grinder w/foot pedal for $575,afew days later they had a sale, same unit cost $350.They shipped promptly BUT I never recieved the rest of my order.Customer service ,line is always on record anpromises to call back in order recieved (NOT)good grinder, loudey service,an policy.Dont get PORKED LIKE I DID.$250 dollar rip
I hate to hear you had that experience. We've only ever bought this one product from them. Stay on them to get what's owed to you.
if you put 2 or three slices of bread in after it will push the rest of your meat out
Good idea. Normally I use I've cubes.
My Bosch kitchen machine grinder attachment is faster and quieter and going strong after years of use
That's good. So far this one has done several hundred pounds of pork, venison and chicken and holding up.
What is that Westons chorizo seasoning, you said Waltons, so I was wondering
If I said or wrote Weston's somewhere it was a good up. We get all of our seasonings from Waltons. If you'll look under the tab for sausage seasoning on their website you'll find the chorizo. It is very good. We use the chorizo sausage mostly for Mexican pizzas and nacho dishes.
I have a smaller grinder but am looking at upgrading because my plan is to grow off not only pigs as I have been doing but also a beef and process myself next year and I am afraid my small grinder won’t cut the mustard on that big of a project lol how do you like this particular grinder? Have you ever tried the AC Leggs sausage seasoning
This grinder is worth it's weight in gold Danny. Hundreds of pounds of pork, chicken, and deer have gone through it already. We used to use Legs (Old Plantation) but honestly we like Walton's Southern Blend way better. We do add extra sage and extra red pepper flakes though.
@@PineyWoodsHomestead I will have to try the Walton’s brand out. Good to know on the grinder
@@uncledanny7 you'll like it, the grinder and the seasoning
