  • Guess what I got for Christmas... yep, The Rovsun 15.4 liter electric sausage stuffer! I am so excited to use this as it will really save my shoulders from manual pressing.
    It took me some time to figure out how to get this thing to work well, so join me in troubleshooting!

    I just bought my grinder this week, it gets here tomorrow. I'm buying the mixer and the stuffer next month and have decided long ago, that I ain't cranking anything! I'm too old for that and that electric stuffer looks like it does the trick! Hats off to Miss Shelly for thinking so nicely of you. What a nice gift!
    Congratulations and thank you both for the video! 🙋

    I don't know if you figured this out yet, but if you flip the gasket over and oil it with white food grade oil, there will be less squeeze out of meat on top of the plunger. I have the same stuffer rebranded from Vevor, at least I think they are the same, and I had the same squeeze out problem until I flipped the gasket.

    Just sold mine yesterday. Had the same one but a 15 lb. Took me an hour and a half to stuff 15 lbs. of snack sticks through a 1/2” tube adding double the amount of water the recipe calls for. Gonna try The Sausage Maker’s economical motorized one.

    As others have said, add more water for those snack sticks. I will push out better

    Put on a couple of washers between the rod and piston you will get more stuffed and the auto stop still will work

    Any issue with smoking after adding water to the meat? I couldn't get my eletric stuffer to press it for snack sticks but it works for summer sausage. We didn't add water, I was worried about the consistency or added smoke time if adding water.

      It may add a little time to the smoke process, but do you cold smoke or smoke and cook the meat as well? If you cook and smoke, once your internal temp is 155 Fahrenheit, you should be good.

      @Brown’s Homestead Harvest House just smoke not cold smoke.

      I add about a gallon of water to 25 lbs. It takes a lot for snack sticks. I added a fan in my smoker to help remove that moisture. Final product comes out just as good. Need to cook longer to remove the water.

  • @shawnhertershfreshstart8480

    I ADD 5 1/2 POUNDS OF WATER TO 25 LBS OF MEAT FOR SAUSAGE I ADD A LITTLE EXTRA IF MAKING SNACK STICKS TO AVOID OVER AMPING YOUR MOTOR.😁😁😁

  • @dewaldcarstenstimberfoxfir7604

    Hi, what make is the manufacturer? I am looking at maches at the moment.

      About a 1/4 pound of meat is left in the can. We package that and suggest mixing with scrambled eggs in the morning.

    What watt motor? Are you happy with the rovson?

    • @brownshomesteadharvesthouse
      @brownshomesteadharvesthouse  Před 10 měsíci

      I expected a little stronger motor and easier pressing. If you add a fair amount of water to your sausage, and no extras, like cheese and jalapeños, it does fine.

    • @rob4263
      @rob4263 Před 10 měsíci

      @brownshomesteadharvesthouse based on link you provided its a 40 watt motor. The hakka brother stuffer uses 60 watt. I'm looking at a intbuying electric sausage stuffer with 120 watt motor. I'm finding same specs on numerous brands with what appears to be exact same motor. I think its the same stuffer and companies just slap their sticker on it
