First time I came across your channel......I thoroughly enjoyed your video, good production, great topic, keep up the good work.
Thanks, Christoph. Appreciate your comment 👍🏼
Awesome bike. Nice to see some added trail footage. 👍
Thanks, mate 👍🏼
Nice ride!
Adding weight to a bike is a painful thing but you are still the Wizard of super light bikes! More importantly, you made swapping tubeless tires look so easy peasy! Thanks for another nice video.
Thanks Ivor! :)
nice. debating this bike vs the lux trail for a while. Geometry wise Lux trail is a perfect fit. so I am just waiting for that to be in stock.
Great video and nice topic, you should talk more about your spark and ride with it.
Классный велик, хорошая работа 👍🏻!
Спасибо!
dope video bro you have pretty good content
Thanks, mate
Legend 💪🏼
👊🏼
Nice video dude !
Thanks!
Cool start - I did the same for my RC - although I went the step further of putting 120mm travel in the rear shock.
I was thinking of that actually. What parts did you have to change apart from the shock?
@@TwistedWheels I found a 120 shock on eBay. I have a post on MTB forum, or one of the mountain bike forums this. Basically if you want to do it right you get the new rocker that goes on the 120 spark. But I found that with the pressure I run in the shock I never bottom out using my RC rocker. With zero psi in the shock the rocker will touch the frame but like I said I never bottom it out. Six months in and no marks on the frame.
@@JasonLiske Hi. I also put a 120 fork on my Spark, but the angle of the seat tube has changed upwards. If I put the Link at 120mm at the back and the shock absorber 165x45, can I solve this problem? thanks
@@thebyrda that may help yes. I dont think the angle is too bad - just slam the seat forward. I run a 9point8 dropper
@@JasonLiske I understand that you can move the saddle, but. I have a height of 199cm and I have already moved the Saddle forward by 100mm from the factory. did you change the Link on yours?
noooice
“The next thing that I’ll be changing in my bicycle will be the fOOk” 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😅
Amazing job with the bike! Very high quality video. Just a question, did the longer fork made the bike behave weird on climbings?
Thanks, Eduardo. No, the fork works just fine. I didn’t notice any difference in climbing.
Where did you get those epic handlebars from?
Should have also added an angleset to decrease the headtube angle by about 2 degrees.
Just found your channel. Awesome stuff. Where are those trails your riding at the end if the video?
Cheers, Mikey. Trails are in London Stratford Olympic Park
@@TwistedWheels I'll have to get down there one day, thanks!
No se daña el cuadro?
as a bicycle mechanic and a spark rc comp 2022 yellow rider, I approve
Thanks! Haha
BTW, I’ve also bought the 2022 Spark RC Comp but in Blue - already took it apart completely 🙈
The blue one looks awesome too. When are you uploading a video on it :)
@@Elias-jo1cc hopefully in June🤞🏼The first video will be about disassembling the bike to check the actual weight of the frame
Does the longer travel shock change the geometry? Does this taken to an account?
It would change the headtube angle slightly, but it would be minor and 120mm forks have been used on Spark RCs many times before (by others). I didn’t notice any issues with it.
when are you getting the new spark? would be awesome what you do with it
Stay tuned ;)
@@TwistedWheels cant wait! any timelines? which version are you getting?
Vittoria Mezcal as a downcountry tyre? That’s a first ☺️. It’s stated as a full-blown xc racing tyre with not that much tread, build for speed. The Vittoria Barzo on the other hand is a perfect downcountry tyre.
Might go for Barzo for winter, but for summer trails Metzcals are more than enough.
Barzo in front and Mezcal behind works pretty well
Which helmet are you wearing during the ride?
It’s Sweet Protection Outrider
Hello. Can you sare where you bought twinloc with dropper button? Thanks
Hey, I bought it on Ebay, but I believe R2-bike is also selling them
@@TwistedWheels Tried to check r2 bike coz I heard that they do have one but for me it looks like there are only 2 cable ports there which is weird
@@a12com there should be 2 ports. The third one for the dropper is attached separately
@@TwistedWheels Oh, good to know. Thank you
Why not wireless dropper ? You seem not to have problems with money
1. Way too heavy
2. No place for the dropper lever on the handlebars
3. Expensive
where is that trail bro?
Hey mate, it’s in the Olympic Park in Startford
10:25 caught me off guard💀
Haha 😂
What is your rear shock specs?
Standard that came on Scott Spark SL 100mm
Thanks man!
the saddest part, its still much lighter from my hardtail bike
Sorry!
Doesn't matter as long as you're out riding a bike :)
@@Talos353 true that 👍🏼
Why would you install a 125mm dropper when you have the insertion depth to accommodate 185mm plus??? The weight difference is negligible. And why the old twin loc/dropper lever design? The new Spark (2022) has a more conventional and smarter design twin loc lever and dropper remote. Obviously you can ride but your upgrade choices make no logical sense. What are you thinking?
1) It does not take 185+ :) 125 is the maximum if I decide to change to a saddle with higher rails. Moreover, 125 is more than enough for my needs. What’s the point of carrying extra weight?
2) Have you seen 2022 twinloc lever for sale? I haven’t. If you have, send me the link.
О! Там срать нельзя? Я всё время туда именно и ходил.
