- Today we're sitting down with Wild Turkey Generations - the new, $450+ bourbon from Wild Turkey that commemorates all three generations of Russell's and their contributions to the brand in the first video CZcams has seen about this release.
A blend of 9, 12, 14 and 15yr bourbons, this has the potential to be a big whiskey, especially at 120.8pf. Is this the best Wild Turkey yet? This first taste is a look into the potential for this bourbon and a discussion about whiskey brands and their releases.

Jay, great review. $450 is pretty nuts and way out of bounds for pricing - likely going to drive folks away with their lackluster offerings. I'm a huge WT fan, but Voyage didn't hit the mark for me and didn't hit the price point for me either. Also, 5am? That's dedication!

The Master’s Keep series has always felt a little pricey for me. Especially when they have so many sub $70 offerings that are spectacular. Maybe they are trying to set these releases apart, but I have yet to taste one that warrants it.

Cool review. I’ve spent a lot of money on good whiskey, but I’m not chasing on all these new releases. Fun for some and good luck to those who pursue it.
It's become a lot lately! I even find myself having to sit down and really pick and choose a lot of the time.
blows my mind that premium bourbons don't include barrel details, age statements, etc. rumors & offhand comments are enough for that audience apparently.
just "here, buy this it's the good stuff" & i can't do that. the buffalo trace collection you referenced at the beginning seems like the worst of the worst so far, but we'll see if they provide more detail as we approach release.
Some of these distilleries are wilding with these prices. I suspect it’s going to drive secondary even higher and severely limit the potential customer base. Maybe that’s the goal, to bring a level of exclusivity to certain products. I love Wild Turkey, but I can’t help but think how many other delicious bottles I could buy for $450+

This sounds as horrible as voyage was honestly the Russell’s should be ashamed to put their names on this bottle as well as the voyage for the price they are charging. It’s a flagrant rip off.
After two some pours you’ve had, is it worth $450? For me, in that ball park is has to be GTS/WLW, KOK good, is it up there ?

Guessing NC was that state that got them early. They’re here with no limits though mostly gone now. Went to get Mine and the dude said “you can have all 6 cases for 18k if you want”

I did the same thing. The lady had it on the shelf behind the register at the store and I just couldn't let it go knowing I'd not see another one ever again, and certainly not for MSRP (even though it sure be lower since Russel 13 smokes it).

Great review, it sounds like a Buffalo Trace product from the fruit descriptors or maybe a not so great batch of Rare Breed? Even Voyage had some Turkey funk in there…
Initial pair of tastings reads light on funk, high on hear! Touch of brown sugar and praline. Excited to watch this one open up.

Missed this bottle by 45 minutes at an ABC here in NC. I think bottles trickled out in bizarre ways. No box for the bottle is an odd choice. I'd honestly be happy if I could find that Masters Keep voyage.
However, consolation prize was a case of C923 at that ABC so I can't complain I guess. I've been searching for a review on this Wild Turkey bottle so I'm glad you nabbed one.
Speaking of Bookers I snagged a Mighty Fine Batch. Seeing virtually nothing about it online. It drinks hot for sure.

I don't think it will sit. The market it crazy and the hype is real. I remember just a couple years ago Master Keeps would sit and know they raised the price and I have never seen on in person. Us bourbon "drinkers" are crazy and we must have very deep pockets 😂😂
@@BottleRaidersi picked one up off the shelf and put it back. It was not the only one and had been on the shelf for two days. I doubt my experience will be the norm, but the price was the sole reason I put it back.
