The iron bomber's pipe hitbox is 8.3x the size. If you still use the pipe launcher you're awful.
Also - before you say "just aim better" the best Demo player in the world Froyo Habib uses the iron bomber because there is random spread to pipes even on competitive servers, and it's a projectile so your enemies have time to move before impact.

Splendid screen is best for pure demo with the widest variety of weapons. Even sometimes best for hybrid knight if you want more frequent charging without the paper resist or the charge being rekt by any minor splash/flame damage

demo shields in a nutshell:
- targe: big defense guy
- splendid shield: more damage and sightly better recharge, at the cost of defense
- tide turner: you can turn and trimp, at the cost of damage

With the splendid screen you deal 185 damage with one swing, even without the shield damage. I think it's one of the main factors that make demoknight one of the most annoying "classes".

The splendid screen is actually terrifying on a demoknight that racked up 5 heads. Every kill you take increases the shield's damage and splendid screen does that more.

For instance it might mean that you're an old school player who has a professional killstreak grenade launcher or something, or that you see the iron bomber's projectiles as unfair. Hell, it might just mean that you've mastered weird pill rollers and are actually pipe jesus.
Most really, like _really_ good demos I meet in pubs use stock, if nothing else because they've been playing for a really long time. I don't think your meme stereotype really holds up on that one.

Stock is way better than quickie for sending a flurry of stickes because of the clip size, and Scottish can't do that at all. Why would you use anything else?

Actually splendid screen is actually the best shield for full demoknight, with max heads (which some may not know gives extra shield bash damage for each head until you reach the max) can do enough damage to 1 shot a light class

it can one shot light classes (some of the fastest in the game) at max range, where they’ll most likely have enough time to dodge or shoot you if they hear and/or see you (although i guess most player’s dont really have ears)
im not dissing the screen, it’s my favorite shield, but you gotta have a really unaware scout or sniper to really make use of that stat (or just a really unlucky spy 😔)

Also, clearly you have never auctually used the quickybomb launcher, as it plays much differently than the stats suggest, it kind of sucks as a secondary in a firefight but is great for dealing with someone rushing at close range or pestering at long range
Just use it, maybe not even in a real match just against bots is fine but you will realize how its not just sticky spam faster

Look you can use the iron bomber if your opponents have the situational awareness of a fish bone but 1, less roll makes rollers easier to dodge and 2, less blast radius makes rollers less likely to hit, the earlier det barely makes up for this in matchups with slower classes. Earlier detonation also screws up certain matchups against engi nests when you're trying to hit the nest outside of the sentry range. It also lacks in the crowd control department and the hitbox size is insignificant if you aren't pipe jesus or ploying against slow classes.
