Idaho has been early spring since the beginning of February. Believe it or not we already had our first 60/15 degree day! And freezing temperatures at night are becoming more and more scarce! I already unwrapped my Mexican and quick protecting it during the really cold nights. Your palms look amazing as always.
A week ago I was in the same boat with warm weather in what for the past 60 some years was Zone 6A New jersey about a month ago the USDA switched it to 7A here. The past week we had two snow storms although low temps not too bad in the teens Farenheight. With weather you never know.
Almost all of our snow has already melted, 40s for the highs and 20s for the lows here. It’s been a pretty warm winter this year compared to last year and the year before and so on
How come the palms are still all boxed up if it’s been nice? I haven’t had too many days that get above 50, but also the lows are pretty mild too. Pretty nice for Buffalo actually… maybe I’ll even get an early spring out of it (without a setback like a late Frost) Dude, those palm trees would be way more cohesive, in a bed even if you just have a couple different types of groundcover and a few shrubs that look tropical, but are hardy!
I’m going away on a long vacation in a couple of days so I do not want to think about what temperature gets really cold while I’m gone. As for the bedding and shrubs, that’s a good idea but I’m not sure I’m ready for that just yet.
Well, you should buy good size one if you want a bigger size one or you can grow it yourself from a seed. I would recommend Mexican fan palm if you were starting from seed much faster to grow.
@@TheJames2929 Thanks for responding james. I've tried buying seeds on Amazon and it produced nothing unfortunately. I have a dwarf Cavendish banana which I always bring indoors but I'd love to have a palm-tree
