This 14-inch notebook is certainly unique, offering a double screen which is great for video editing as well as gaming. The OLED panels are bright, colourful and boast excellent contrast, while the ASUS Zenbook Duo's Harmon Kardon speakers are ridiculously powerful.

Wow! At first I thought "Yeah. Sure. Another silly dual screen laptop that does nothing better than the lame old regular ones". But here I am completely baffled by how practical all of this is! This is finally the utility innovation that the laptop industry needed! Well done Asus! Color me impressed!

Nomatter how impressive they get nobody ever buys one., i have yet to see any dual screen laptop out in the wild and they have been on sale for more than 5 years now

Seems like half the youtubers I'm subbed to reviewed this, and you're the only one to put the keyboard in the thumbnail, and that's what got me interested. I originally just assumed they were expecting us to use some giant touchscreen as the keyboard, which sounded awful. So good job on the more informative thumbnail and the review.
Two entire displays is crazy mate
This is perfect for trading. One screen with MT5, another with Quantower or Tradingview.
I have the zenbook duo half screen and it's perfect for me. Not sure how often I personally would need two full screen displays but for content creators and business folk who often multi-task, I can see this as essential. Awesome
Now I'm on a MacBook user but this is what I love to see on the Windows side. Not your normal laptop for 800€ but some crazy thing that sounds even crazier on paper. Gotta love what these companies are trying out. Big fan of the Lenovo Yoga series also especially for the price they offer.

Looks great! Only thing is that I wish they had the hinge more like the Yoga 9i. Tent mode and fold-over would have made this completely perfect.

Could this new Asus ZenBook Duo function as a dual external display when connected via USB-C to a laptop like LG Gram? Taking it one step further, if the other notebook's GPU is powerful enough and two TB4-equivalent ports are available, can TWO Asus Duo's be connected to create a FOUR external display setup?
Another question. In dual display mode, can the keyboard be connected to the displays using cable to avoid latency?

Great review and a very tempting buy. The link in this video to the device doesn't work and the cheapest version I can see based here in the UK is £1999.
Same in the Netherlands, only then in euros. The only hold back to buy this laptop, but it is the main criterium for my financer to give the ok 😢
Does anyone know if you can set up 2 separate Bluetooth headsets when you're in screen xpert sharing mode??? when showing two different videos at once, I wonder if there's a sound clash. Im sure Asus thought of that, though 😅

I noticed on the keyboard printing this is Dolby Vision compatible holy sh*t! I wonder how it would look using it as one larger screen with scaling for a larger aspect ratio - outdoing any 17" laptops
How is battery life?
In comparing this to the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, I'd say the Yoga Book is more flexible in the situations it can be used in (tablet mode, presenter mode, and it comes with a mouse and pen, etc). In other words, it mains as a dual screen laptop that can secondary passably as a normal laptop and tablet. The Zenbook Duo has less variety of options, but also compromises less as a normal laptop (more ports, a backlit keyboard with an actual trackpad, 120 Hz, better internal hardware). In other words, it can main equally well as both a dual screen laptop and a normal laptop, but that's about it. It really comes down to preference and what you need. Do you want the flexibility of the Yoga Book or the hardware reliability of the Zenbook Duo? As an owner of the Yoga Book, I love it and would probably go with it for my use cases, but there are some things about the Zenbook that make me wish I had waited🥲
I agree with you. The Lenovo has a better hinge that offers great flexibility and symmetry. The Asus looks uneven in desktop mode and share mode.
The only benefit of Asus on terms of ergonomics is the integrated stand and the ability to enclose the keyboard that makes a desk setup way faster.
My next laptop is one of the two. I thinking though, to wait for one more year because the next versions are going to be superior.

You don't need to assemble and disassmble ASUS laptop.
You don't need to worry about the ASUS laptop falling or being knocked down either.

I bought an Asus laptop about 18 months ago but damn, I want this.
30 fps average is not close to being enough for playing racing games. For a smooth experience you would want over 100fps and a 120hz refresh rate. This computer is fine for video editing and writing while researching at the same time. But that’s about it. I will buy the lowest spec version when available because it just suits my needs.
MBP M3 killer? Now this Dual screen is my top favorite laptop to buy for programming. 👍😀
Apple still has the advantage with Apple Silicon and their software optimizations for super long battery life. If only this laptop ran a AMD or arm chip it would be such a killer.

...VAT is 20%, which is $300. That makes it about right once EU reg costs and transport are considered. No conspiracy, just that the US add taxes per state and the UK has a standard VAT rate.

The perfect laptop for a day trader
While spec wise it is better than the Lenovo Yogabook 9i, the ports are on the left side vs the right. When mobile this is no issue but in the office my laptop sits to the left of my large monitors so having cables come from the right side of a laptop keeps my desktop cleaner

Why are video editor companies not increasing logos which are earlier shown in the list . They can use 2 screens very well. 2 screen laptops are the future. Overpriced and unaffordable.
