Good job, I would recommend to use a syringe to draw up all the old fluid, start pumping new fluid from the start.

The best way to do it is to use a syringe and empty most of it out from the reservoir and then refill with new fluid. That way you don;t have to pump out the reservoir through the system. It will save you a lot of time and new brake fluid. Basically, your chasing the old fluid out of the lines with new fluid right from the start instead of chasing old fluid with more old fluid. EDIT: I see you did use the syringe method. 👍 PS Use a black Sharpie to cover that scratch on your left wheel. It will blend it in until you forget it’s there. 👍

I agree, the syringe method is the best way and for sure, next time when I do the front wheel, I'll use the syringe method. Good idea about the Sharpie too, I'll do that. The scratch was made by me when I replaced the rear tire. Super hard, even with the right rim protectors to not scratch the paint. The rear tires was a mf to get on lol.

If you use the syringe and top the fluid out from the reservoir could you still get all the old fluid out from the system beneath?

Thanks . Early in 2024 I'll be taking the wheels off the GSXR and then removing the tired from the rims, balancing and reinstallation. It's relatively easy to do and saves time and $$ from taking it in to a dhap.to get the tires changed. Thanks for watching and for the comment . J

That bike is super clean, you could put it in a museum.

Thanks so much. I use it a lot too, but try really hard to use it only on dry days. That said, I've been stuck outside on rainy days or thunderstorms with it as well. Cleaning the bike after a storm is no fun lol.

Nice detailed video! Seems easy enough! Thanks for Sharing! & not using time lapse/ other weird edits& sfx like some of the other channels do! Just subscribed too!

Glad it was helpful! Good observation about the time lapse videos. Sometimes I do speed up routine things like cleaning and painting in my videos, otherwise the videos would be 1.5 hours long. I show the time lapse to show that I did the work. I usually don't time lapse the technical work. J

Do I need that hose or can I just let it bleed out when pressing the brake

why didn't you take the old brake fluid from reservoir before you start?

Good point, and in retrospect, I'll do that next time.
