Likewise, this song and performance had tons of personality and outrageous energy and most definitely deserved to be not only in the final, but also in the Top 10!

He is a great performer, truly a creative, and not afraid of being provocative. Go to listen to his songs Bam Bam Twist, C'est la vie, and 16 Marzo... I'm Italian, I can tell you I didn't like him much at the beginning of his career, but shortly after I understood he's a shiny gem.
I was so heartbroken at the results after the rollercoaster of emotions I felt during this performance! Simply the best!! I will continue to listen and watch this masterpiece! Love from France ❤️❤️

I'm Italian. Sometimes I like Achille Lauro songs and sometimes not. I think that yesterday he deserved the final.
Hands down best San Marino entry ever. I think it didn't qualify because in terms of style it was too similar to last year's winner. Probalby people thought this was a poor man's Måneskin. But personally, I think this was the bomb. The song is good and the performance is just wow. It's a douze points from me!

Unfortunately, it's very, very improbable that he'll ever get to represent Italy, because in order to do that, he'd have to win the Sanremo festival, and that will never happen, as Italy is too conservative to accept his brand of performative art as "the best Italian song of the year" (the title that the winning song of Sanremo gets). You can even say that it's more than revolutionary for Italy that they have let him participate in Sanremo at all, let alone 3 times - and that only in the last few years thanks to the excellent Sanremo artistic director, Amadeus, who brought diversity in genres and styles to an increasingly old-fashioned evergreen-pop festival that had been groundbreaking and trend-setting back in the 70s and 80s, but turned stale and boring in the 2000s. Before Amadeus, it would be unthinkable to have artists like Mahmood or Maneskin ever let to participate. Going back to Achille, expecting him to win Sanremo is entirely unrealistic, sadly. Which is a pity, as his performances and artistic expression is original, unapologetic and provocative in a non-vulgar way.
I agree with you @Lafabi As San Remo is to hard for him to win but San Marino 🇸🇲 could be a option for him if he ever comes back again. He said that he doesn’t rule out a return in the future so you never know. I would like to see him too again

Thank you, Katerina! :) (I'm Italian and Achille Lauro is italian). This is the spirit ov Eurosong: friendship between different countries and no borders. And the joy when we descover a great artist of another country we didn't knew before, and his art make our lifes a little more happy (I'm totally in love with the Serbian performance and its deep meanings, for example. And a lot of other artist's, too).
Sadly, sometimes the juries don't feel like this and vote for "friend" or neighboring nations. But us, the common people, are much better than juries: we have no boundaries, and we appreciate the art and the beauty, from the whole world! 😊
