@@svilokos75 The countries who qualified deserved it much more. This song is just cheap af and it's even annoying to listen at. They had a great chance this year of doing really well with Connelly, but again they picked the wrong song. She just needed to gain a bit more confidence but she had a great song and vocals. Her song has already more steams than That's rich ever had. If Sweden would have send this, they wouldn't have qualified either. It was just cheap and bad. And those key changes made it extremely annoying because she was mostly off key.

Maybe not the best performance of the night but this was definitely deserving of a qualifying spot. Vocals were spot on, staging was cohesive and well-produced, song actually somewhat has a meaning unlike a lot of the ballads, and Brooke is such a charismatic performer. She was such a hit with the audience and the fans, it's a shame the jury bombed her in favour of all the ballads. Like seriously, letting a country qualify when they got 0 in televoting is not it...

Ok so the vocals weren't perfect, and it wasn't currently on trend, but damn, this song was easily top five for the whole competition, not just the semi finals. This was a real, genuine pop hit and deserved to go *way* further than it did. I think it might be Ireland's best ever effort. More of this please!

There were talks last year of us withdrawing, wouldn't blame RTÉ for pulling the plug next year... Brooke really deserved to go through!

@@stephenflood5374 I’m not saying that we should pull out as a protest, because at the end of the day, a competition is a competition, and if that is how Europe has voted, who are we to argue? But, when RTÉ pumps money into their entry every year just to have it crash out in the semis all the time, we need to evaluate how we are spending our money… when Lesley came last last year, I said they needed to do a big overhaul of their song selectioning, which they did. And, it resulted in a better song, which still didn’t make it. So, I do feel sorry for the RTÉ team in that regard…
Overall though, I was really disappointed with tonight’s show, there were only a handful of songs I liked, and I thought overall that the production was lacking, especially when il Volo sang in English! Don’t know what they were thinking… they turned a stunning song into a cheesy nightmare with those English lyrics :(
@@liamsmyth2917 yes i wouldnt blame them actually. if we get last in the semi final which defo not deserved we should pull out say right sweden the crown is yours and bow out. cause i dont know what else Europe wants. imagine a full final mostly filled with ballads. like proper eurovision fan would say hold up ireland got hated for this like oh not another ballad from ireland were a final with mostly ballads. the irony of it all. what a joke and a kick in the teeth to ireland
I seriously don’t get it. This song has everything.
Top tier staging.. The fireworks. The choreography. The confidence. The outfits. The song is catchy, entertaining, engaging, iconic. The lights were on point. She improved her vocals immensly. Yes the lyrics are shallow, but I watch Eurovision to be entertained, not to ponder my life.
