  • My first real video of a first time backhoe removal - 3 point hitch and box blade install... This is not an instructional video, it's just a video of a newbie trying some things for the first time.

      Thanks, this thing will last a lifetime if taken care of, and I will definitely do some fiddling here and there, not at your skill level but will give just about anything a try. :)

    Backhoe is my favorite toy for the Kubota. Putting it on for the season is a sure sign of summer, taking it off 🥶 winter time 🤣 have a great one

    Good day Andrew, I just want to complement you on your beautiful property. I'm sure it offers a lot of challenges and rewards. You have a great machine with the BX23s. Keep moving forward and don't look back. It takes time to become proficient with different implements. Just remember any mistakes can be fixed. I hope to see some new videos from you in the future. I know it is a lot of work making and editing video. A lot of videos I take don't even make it to CZcams because the angle was wrong or the sound was bad, or the battery died. LOL - Enjoy the journey - cheers

    Excellent job on the driveway, it looks great. Especially along the edge where you've got a nice clean line where it meets the grass.

      Thanks Kuzru, it looks much neater, I will hopefully finish it up this summer.

    Nice video. It can take a while to get the hang of removing the backhoe. I don't have to remove the 3p arms on my Massey to install the backhoe , so one less step! A box blade is my next purchase. Thanks for sharing. - Rick

      Thanks Rick, and I heard about the 3-point hitch on the Massey and I'm jealous... I took a look to see if I could but no go :( . I have a 70yard long driveway and the box blade has done me well with refreshing the driveway in summer and really handy in the winter as well, you will really like it.

    Nice job. It looks like the box blade is going to be one of your most used attachments. I have a gravel driveway too and like to touch it up a couple times a year. Plus, it work pretty well as rear ballast.

      Thanks Stonehouse, sorry for the late reply, your comment was in the held for review section ?!? Yes I love the box blade and it is really good for snow removal... I will be doing more work on the driveway this spring/summer.

    My hydraulic line in the back is also tough to put together. But it got worse with the premium curtis cab because it is a bit more in the way.

    It’s intimidating the first couple times. You did great! It will all be second nature in no time.
    So did that hitch receiver interfere with the 3 point? I spotted that and was thinking I like that idea.

    • @ticklemeorange8328
      @ticklemeorange8328  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks Lucas, the receiver hitch mount holes didn't match up. I got it from our Canadian version of Harbour Freight on sale (very cheap) I may get my friend with a welder to fill the holes and drill press new ones. PS...Your pole barn is looking great.

      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Před 2 lety +1

      @@ticklemeorange8328 Thanks! Ok, so with hole relocation the bolt on receiver will probably work? I may look into doing that. I have a ball mounted there now, but it would be better to be able to use a receiver to run a drop or lift and to extend it out a little for turning radius.

    • @ticklemeorange8328
      @ticklemeorange8328  Před 2 lety +1

      @@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead You can actually buy them made for the BX but this one was so cheap I just gave it a try, it won’t interfere with the backhoe...
