      It really is, I was going to remove it for the summer but I think I'll keep it on for mosquito and black fly season... I'm really liking it.

    Good Show Andrew...It's really mostly about the wind and flying snow but you've done a nice job making it cozy.....Don't forget, you still need to breathe....lol...some fresh air is good....cheers.

    • @ticklemeorange8328
      @ticklemeorange8328  Před 2 lety +1

      What’s this breathing stuff they talk about lol… actually there will be plenty of ventilation, just less big gaps, and if I make it too air tight I will make a vent that can be opened and closed… if I can fab 10% of what you can do I’ll be good ;)

    Nice setup, Andrew. You've really taken full advantage of what that cab design offers. Ha, I use gaffer tape for SO many things around my shop and studio. Mine's green though because I use it with my chromakey set. I've pretty much decided that I'm not going to install a cab for my use here in WA, but I enjoyed the tour of yours. Take care!

    • @ticklemeorange8328
      @ticklemeorange8328  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you David, yup Gaffer tape is good stuff… I had to lookup “chromakey” I had no idea what it was lol, but it looks like it would be fun to play with. As got the cab, I will take it off in the summers but the winters can be brutal here 🥶. You are on and off your tractor a lot and travel in the woods so I can see why a cab may not benefit you as much.

    Nice job staying warm, and thank you for your offer to keep a look out for an engine. I have ordered one off eBay. Should be at my house in a month or two. Of course most snow we've had in 8 years and I might not even get to play once😓

    That cab is awesome! I was going to ask if you were able to capture any heat from the engine, but I see where you wrapped under the dash. Does it take a while to warm the engine compartment up where you are at? Seems like it would be cumbersome wrapping around the levers and pedals. Looking forward to seeing you get everything squared away. Happy to have come across your channel, and happy to subscribe! - Samuel

    • @ticklemeorange8328
      @ticklemeorange8328  Před rokem +1

      Hi Samuel, thanks for stopping by. Most of the newer tractors have the radiator at the back of the engine and the air is sucked out... Right now I use a Little Buddy golf cart heater that sits in the cup holder, and it heats up the cab pretty quick (2min) or so and I can move snow in a sweat shirt at -20 Celsius -4 Fahrenheit... I will be plumbing in a heater at some point, and it won't get in the way of the peddles of levers. Thank you very much for subscribing :) Edit: I just checked your channel, I want your excavator lol.

      Hi Angiehuda, the golf cart heater works great, I just wear a sweatshirt and a light spring jacket at -20 C/-4 F … I will be plumbing heat in at some point.
