- A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of speaking to Manchester United Captain Harry Maguire.
Harry talks about what it was like breaking through at Sheffield United, and which defenders inspired him as a kid.
We reflect on England, talking about the experience of Russia in 2018, and the heart-breaking loss against Croatia. He even reveals why he turned up to the England squad with bin bags!
I find out why Harry chose United over City, and then what it’s been like becoming Captain of Manchester United.
I give him a special handwritten letter from Sir Alex Ferguson, and then we get stuck into a putting challenge!

Eric and Axel are a better partnership because they aren't afraid to go in for a challenge and they're strong and fast. We played a very high line yesterday against Wolverhampton and it's some of the best football Man Utd has played all season.

Many footballers do. I played at a high level when I was a kid. I know a couple of pro footballers who play in the conference from my child football days. I’ve talked to many footballers and they admit they prefer Golf. I prefer Golf a lot more now compared to football part of the reason I feel this way about is due to my legs going and another part is the feeling I get when I hit a sweet golf shot.

Go to a Golf drive if you haven’t played Golf. If you’ve never played it’ll probably be hard to hit the ball consistently but with practice you will. You’ll love the game. Watch a few you tube channels of how to strike a Golf ball so you don’t look bad on the range. I started practicing in a big field where I looked atrocious. If you’re lucky to have a massive field near you. Buy a 7 Iron and a few golf balls and go from there or go to the range where you can hire both.

Macguire is well and softly spoken. Obviously different when on the pitch but he conducts himself well during the interview. Pleasantly surprised to be perfectly honest.
I'm a hull city fan, Harry maguire was amazing for us. His runs from cb with the ball culminating in a brilliant pass usually were legendary. Such a great player, shows what can be done if you give a player game experience at 18 years old. You get maguire, kane, vardy, they need games, you can't just stick them in the youth team.
Honestly the one thing I noticed massively this year was his runs with the ball he’s just playing with such confidence, perfect Pep CB

Cracking interview this was. I’ve a whole different level of respect for McGuire after watching this.
at first I was VERY critical of Maguire but I love him now, maybe could be a bit stronger as a captain but apart from that SOLID
People are gonna realise how good he is this summer
I think he's overrated as hell, United conceded more goals than Liverpool even though they basically had no senior Centrebacks and have a midfielder playing CB half the time. I'm a spurs fan and think Maguire is just meh
