- In this video we will take a deep dive into the @VoroMotors eMove Roadrunner! It is a small scooter, Ebike or minibike - we don't really know as it is hard to categorize it! What we definitely could find out though is the performance, quality and practicality aspects of this machine. I know it's a long video, but if you want to have a full picture of the eMove Roadrunner then you have to watch it til the end!
Big thanks to @monocat.1011 for both help in recording and thumbnail! Thanks to Jacek Mrozkiewicz as well for the help with recording some footage!

Don't worry, you're not imagining things. I confirmed with two Roadrunner owners here in Seattle. They both have the same stem wobble coming from the forks. They say it's a fun little machine but that it doesn't feel safe over 25mph. I think the fact that Rion removed the 'feature' from their custom Roadrunner should be proof enough.😉
That fork costs less than 100 bucks I would NOT go 50mph on that in a thousand years lol
i know but the scooter is cheap 1700 usa the rion version is 4500 usa. and all rion machine do not have suspension they want you to know the road theres real killer power under your seatkno
My friend took the stock fork off his and made it non suspension
@@Goodman-4525 less that is MTB fork for entery level MTB it can flex and in side of that fork is one spring and litle oil . And after 500km that fork is for garbage . And air fork is only proper way or stiff fork but then is too stiff. I realy don't like it and I don't know why is so much pricy for 2,000€ you can buy good and proper scooter. F fir half of it you can buy Vsett 8
Thanks for your honest, in-depth reviews! I had an Emove Touring scooter (gen 2) which also had endemic front end play, from the poorly designed folding mechanism and absurdly cheap fork. In their rush to sell new products, Voromotors seems to have a "good enough" approach to their scooters. Instead of pursuing excellence in products and customer experience, they must put resources primarily into marketing. When my Touring motor seized up on a modest hill, they replaced it under warranty. But instead of wiring the new motor to the controller, Voromotors' technician simply CUT the motor power cable outside the deck and SPLICED in a new motor. This exposed 48 volt cable splice was "protected" by a couple wraps of electrical tape! As your review shows, Emove's attention to detail is still lacking.
Man, you just saved me some money. I was just recently contemplating buying this scooter, slash ebike. Thank you for your honesty and brutally honest review.
I have the buyer's remorse big time! I wish I had seen THIS review.... so many people are dishonest in their reviews due to free stuff/sponsorship.
Solid review, the couple of others I watched basically didn't even mention any of the issues you brought up. But it seems like if you replaced the front forks that would fix what you had the main gripes with. Not sure if there's anything else in the $1400 range that would be much better. Everything in the price range will have some quirks and possible quality issues.
Easily the best roadrunner review. Banger as always
Appreciate the honesty in your reviews. keep up the good work!
Very honest Review, appreciated!
Good to see another brutally honest review on a product. It needs to be done more these days but more often than not a product is supplied as a "paid promotion" so you cant slam it :( (which i suspect both ESG and the other one was part of....) Thanks for sharing as always and look forward to the next video.. btw.. i tried looking up the rion roadrunner.. but there were no links i could find.. do you have the link for that one?
It hasn’t released yet. It’ll be out the end of this month on Voro motors
THAT...ESG IS JUST TOO NICE ON REVIEWS. PRB GETTING GOOD BONUSES ON THEIR "GOOD"
I own one and it's nice to finally see a well done HONEST review!!!!!
I’m 6ft tall 250pounds do you think it will be good fit?
REALLY GREAT REVIEW.. I agree I have issues with the forks and the brakes and it needs rear suspension and a better seat. I'm really glad you give a honest review. Thanks
That loose, ratteling lousy fork can be very dangerous 😳 !!!😢.
An overpriced heap heap of cheap junk!!!
Worth $600 only!!!
Excellent review.
Thanks for the review. I was considering it but now I will look elsewhere for a different scooter.
Can you do a review on the road runner pro?
Definetally not a E-bike for hard core riding and speed, it,s more like a cruiser to get comfortably from A to B. Thank you for being honest in the video
Their new Roadrunner Pro is amazing.
Great honest review. Thank you
Now not buying it for the best possible reasons. Personally I would be happy to pay more for something with higher quality components
What do you think of the roadrunner pro?
Don't get freaked out but if no one told you today: "I love you man!" Thanks for being a true Pioneer in the PEV community. Thanks to you and many others, I ventured out into the PEV world and redefined my life around the whole experience of enjoying PEVs as a method of therapy. Thank you for always dropping amazing reviews and sharing helpful insights on the technical details of PEVs. I just recently purchased the Emove Roadrunner Tronic. I wish that I could invite you here to North Carolina to do a good review of it once I get it.
i love you too, john ;)
@@pevns 😆 Respect & ❤️ back at Yah!
"See that guy riding the e scooter? Man he looks silly!
"How could we make him look sillier?"
And just like that the RoadRunner was born
⚡👀⚡
*It's so cute* so it's nice to see a non-hype, realistic review
👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks I was considering this I’ll stay with the king gt
they look cool to have in the fleet...but not as an everyday ride. would be cool for something different to ride for fun once in a while, but wouldn't be my first purchase. I like esg reviews but they all go the same way: this scooter is awesome, buy it now!... so it's good we've got dudes who give their honest truths and not constant praise and product pushing. wrongway does the rightway.
Hi, I've been doing a fair bit of research and reading reviews as I'm looking at getting one. Your review is a rarity in that it was refreshingly honest. Which E-Minibike would you recommend? I will mainly use for commuting to and from work (about 5ks each way) and the odd weekend ride to the park. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
I'm so glad you did your review of the roadrunner I was looking forward to buying it it's perfect for getting around New York City but after your review I'm going to hold off and see what the manufacturers going to do I hope they take your suggestions thank you again and by the way yours are the best review out of all the reviews I watched
Probably not a good idea for nyc
Nie ma to jak banan na twarzy :) Pozdro.
Helllo mate, I would just like to ask a question... I got my little pocket rocket Roadrunner the other day and for some reason it's bouncing and handlebars are vibrating when going over like 28 miles per hr. Does your one do that and if so how can it be avoided? Thank you and appreciate your response.
I really hope Voro will fix the front fork. Seems unacceptably risky. Great in depth review as always!
I like your incline test hill.
I was going to test this out to see if it’s something I can add to my collection and mod for my wife to ride. How difficult is it to add proper front and rear suspension on that thing?
Yes, the lack of rear suspension and the seat can be a killer. And I don't go over 27 on it, too scary, but FUN AS ALL!!!
oh damn i would really want to try this one out.
.
Should be able to mod the hell out of these like the Fiidos! It does look like a fun machine!
I bought one of these and regret it... you're one of the FEW honest reviews out there. Other people KNOW there are problems but get sponsored or got a free product to test so they won't tell the truth. Selling their souls...
Very honest review man! 😘
I totally agree with ALL the shortcomings that you mentioned on this RoadRunner.
For me personally, Voro's lack of transparency on the exAct specs of the mOst impOrtant component of aNy E-vehicle, THE BATTERY, is the mAin deal-breaker for me...
I was really interested in this model and the Emove Cruiser, but I just get turned off when a company is not transparent enough...
BATTERY QUALITY is sO critical, and should never be compromised...
I want to be able to have "peace of mind" when storing an Electric vehicle in my home or vehicle....especially with my 2 kids around...
At last! A reviewer that actually does his job! 👍
They actually did a video of there so called improvements! Hmmmm bad!
Very happy you covered the IP weather part! And how badly made this is too.
I did ask the company myself about the security and weather, being based where they are you would think security might be key, A City!
Good looking bike! But badly made.
the others are doing their jobs...as sales people.
Dynavolts are usually 2600mah 7a max discharge cells, 18650.
They're also in most dragon branded scooters.
They're fine, not the best, they last a fair few cycles, and hold capacity fairly well too.
I came across a spec sheet once, half of it looked fake as all hell, I had to scour alibaba databases to find it.
5:12 I did this on my min e-bike but went right over the handle bars and hit the pavement lol I think the 14" tires are too small, I kinda wish I got a larger bike just because larger tires seem to make the ride safer? I do really like the dual motor on the VoroMotors bike here, I'd like to try them out sometime! The one I have is a similar design but different brand and not as fast or as easy to control. I was just out ridding with it tonight and had my gopro 360 so I may upload a video on it in the next few days
When you said you need to put loctite onto the screws do you mean the Loctite Superglue?
I’m still here cause I watch all your videos! 👏🏻 Also, I was very interested in your thoughts on the RoadRunner. I’ve been eyeing it for a long time, when I was also considering a Fiddo Q1.
I just started learning the EUC because of your videos. I’ve been practicing on the MCM5. I haven’t ridden it on the street yet, but I’m getting the hang of it. Been filming the whole process.
Anyway, great video! Glad to see your perspective on it. I’ve been waiting on it since you got the first one! 👍🏻
q1s is kick ass
Nice review if they keep fixing the minor issue’s and add a twist throttle w/ wider tires I might could see me buying one love the speed factor.
What do you think of the pro?
@@camxdidxthat it’s probably gonna be my next purchase I love everything about it I would maybe try some Pro Taper Bars and some cooler foot pegs but even leaving it stocks is good enough for me the price I feel is fair for the performance.
Since this vedio post. Have you heard from E Move saying they will improve the front forks?
Would I buy it again? Yes I would! I enjoy mine!!!
Good honest review bro. It's not worth the money especially with those crappy forks.
A friend had one of these arrive with locked front forks. They had no movement and no suspension... after weeks of hassling with the manufacturer they eventually sent a set with suspension... very odd. The seat definitely needs work to be comfier.
electrek needs to get a pair of sneakers or boots to ride in lolol. always looks so funny on a scooter
Guys I have the same play on front forks arms, any idea on how to make it better? Thanks!
I would love to see you do mods!!!!
can we buy an extra battery and put it in our backpack ? Having the possibility to bring extra range in backpack if we run out of juice would be great !
Do u have a link for your buddys led back pack ???🤔🤔🤔🤔
I guess Fiido Q1 S (full suspension) is the way to go!
You have my vote for a hyper scooter mod
I HAVE A EMOVE CRUISER IT IS A GREAT SCOOTER.
How many inches wide is the back tire ? The rubber tube not the whole motor tire.
Cant believe they told you to keep both scooters after this review...
Can you pls do a hill climb test on the kaboo king gt like you did on the warrior 11
Plsss
Did we upgrade the Armor recently
Siema napisz prosze ile masz wzrostu. Chodzi o ocene jednego skutera z twojego filmiku. Będe miał obraz co do mojego wzrostu porównując twój wzrost. Dzięki trzymaj sie.
Mine so far just hit 500 miles, only thing was a flat on the rear!
So what’s the max range at full throttle?
Have these multiple problems been corrected by now?
I'd love to see a modded one
So if NOT the RoadRunner any alternative Electric Minibike you would highly recommend?
There isn't really one
A year later and it’s still nothing that can compare except the Pro version.
That's not quite correct about Dualtron. The display starts flashing to warn you of low voltage before you get cutoff. It's not the same as the controller limiting the current at low voltage, that would be nice... but i find there is plenty of warning.
Thank you, I was about to buy one. I think I'll look elsewhere.
Bonjour Adam et bien ça ne donne pas vraiment envie de l'acheter au vu du jeu important dans la potence de la fourche merci de nous l'avoir essayé 😜😋🛴🇫🇷
great review, one thing lack of rear susp ok... another thing cheap front forks... alright alright... but the play from the stem... ughhh. seems like too much work to replace the fork etc.
this is the first generation or second generation?
Def first gen the V2 has longer seat
I would love to see you doing some mods and improving the stock bike
Thanks for the comment :) I’d love to make it a torque beast, I’ll see what the costs would be
Please, please, please - stop with the “like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like…. Just speak! Otherwise, (between all the “likes”) a very helpful video. (Would probably be 10 minutes shorter without the seven million “likes” every second word. )
I think I’ll just save up for a sur ron x now.
Which is the best seated electric scooter?
Roadrunner Pro
Glad you reviewed this one. I'm looking for a seated scooter. This one... I think I'll pass. My basic issue is that an average adult has to ride with knees at a greater than 90 degree angle.
I looked everywhere for a suspension type seat no one's come up with an idea yet pretty sad
Even with all the flaws I realized at dealership when buying it and you point out, I still really wanted the first gen of this unique vehicle. Just wait for V2 with Rion partnership. Next level.
Thanks for the video. Stay safe!
NICE REVIWE ON THE
ROADRUNNER.
why not the 65 mph version?
I have a small ebike like that. The small tires are terrible. It won't make it up the smallest curb or driveway lip, parking lot curtain, without twisting the bike & throwing me
I literally have to come to a complete stop, lift the bike onto the curb, & get back at it.
🥰🥰🥰😍😍👍👍
You could still look at voltage sag...
Really cool review! if you're up for it I'd really like you to mod one of these. I think it would be a great build series (if you would choose to do that) and the result could be one mean machine.
Alright, thanks for that insight! I’ll look at the costs of doing that!
Cheers, you have saved me some money, I was going to buy this for my wife here in Australia, but this bike overall is rubbish.
you should upgrade one of them and also rename it to BladeRunner :}
What are these strange dual-cycles? I only have two feet. How am I supposed to ride two combined EUCs at once..
I appreciate the honest review, but it does not have an IP rating. So there’s no reason to give it marks off for something that does not claim to have🤔 use your head 😫👎🏽
Great video. Just don't like the fact you got the Ukrainian sticker flag on the battery. 😮
Would buy the scooter if not for the front forks and lack of rear suspension.
@wrong way 180cm is 5.9 feet. That's not 5'9", it's just under 5 feet 11 inches. There are 12 inches per foot not 10 ;)
Regen while fully charged has been solved. But you won't have Regen until the battery gets to about 95%. This gives an odd user experience.
Beep Beep! 🥰⚡❤️
That thing is horrid lol. Great review
No way
body armor+big fullface helmet looks really strange on this children's e-bike.....
Maybe, but when the front forks are made of spaghetti it’s probably a good idea.
i wouldnt wanna faceplant at 57kmh without a fullface helmet ;D my dentist would probably like the money though!
Trochę poprawić fabrykę i był by z tego niezły sprzęt😉
Thank you for supporting Ukraine
Great review, for the price of close to 2,000 I’ll pass. Nothing of quality maybe for 999 I’ll get it .
I'd buy it for 2000 if it was quality and had bigger/wider tires. Just hate mediocre and esp. cheap quality.
Let me know if you want to sell your other emove roadrunner
The video filter is qiute bad, please do not use it :). Anyway this scooter thing is useless in my country (Czech Republic), completelly illegal. This is moped, but made in garage from pipes without number plate and insurance :D
I have the road runner. Have put alot of miles on it. There are definitely pros and cons. Anyone feel free to ask me real world questions.
@ldscooterrider I'm 5'4, 160 pounds on a smooth flat surface I have went about 34mph. When it's a nice clear street the ride is very nice and even the seat doesn't feel that bad. But eventually if you hit some small potholes you're going to pay! Hurts alot on your balls. For long rides I use a memory foam square I put right on top of the seat and it's a game changer. When you press the "I" button it turns on dual motors and it is also very nice against some pretty steep hills. I was impressed. After about an hour you do feel some cramps in your knees. I'm a short guy that's pushing the speed limit of the RR and I can feel it. It's one of the most fun machines I've ever ridden. A little bit pricey but very effective toy. The thumb throttle is very comfortable. I have never got into an accident but I will say the brakes could be a little bit better. At high speeds i expect a better stopping period.
Have you ridden it in rain? It doesn’t look like the battery has protection against that. Did you also have steering stem and front fork issues like in the video? Thanks!
@@djblack-jax3172 I have ridden it in light rain. But I won't recommend it. Didn't have no steering or fork issues. I ride very aggressively. Usually 30mph plus. Back suspension would help but Voro explained why they won't. Even with the new one that's in the works.
Have you ever left it outside in the rain without the battery attached
@@Soupah369 sadly yes, it stopped for a while then it dried and powered on. The biggest thing I noticed was to keep the 2 handle bars dry. They both have some form of electronical part that should not get wet.
I have one and I can tell its not good quality. But their customer service is superb, I guess you can't have everything
et bien je m'attendée pas a tous ses défaut , pour le prix qui coute en plus !! jais failli en acheté un , est bien je vais me tourné vers un autre !!
