GRIPKNIT! || Nike Phantom GX Elite DF Unboxing + On Feet Test

Today, we unbox and test out Nike’s flagship control boot, and most popular model, the Nike Phantom GX Elite in the DF FG variant. This colourway is part of the 'Ready' pack, Nike's new season boot pack. It is up there with some of the most expensive boots on the market due to it being the DF version, retailing for $375, but it does include some unique features, such as the new upper technology of ‘GRIPKNIT’, the returning technology of a lace cover dubbed ‘GHOST LACES’, and a new soleplate and stud pattern. It’ll be interesting to see how well the Phantom GX lives up to the hype it’s garnered over the last 10 months.

Do u have wide feet and if so does it fit you well? I have narrow feet and I want to get a pair but I’m scared that there will just be loads of gaps in the mid foot and toe box

I have wide feet and the fit is pretty snug on my foot, but not uncomfortable. The snugness comes from toe box and the heel counter primarily, but the mid-foot is fine. Therefore, these should fit you perfectly well in those areas.

Is the soleplate too flexible?

the soleplate is sturdy, when i say flexible, i mean in comparison to other plates, like the speedframe on the speedportal/crazyfast or the air zoom outsole of the mercurial vapor and superfly, it’s more flexible and less snappy than those, which feels more natural.
