the original retail price of the gx elite 1 was actually $250. they then raised it to $260 after 3 or 4 colorways. they also made a mistake by carrying over the luna cyclone soleplate over the original phantom gx 1 soleplate
i mean he is saying its better soleplate but u never i know, i have the phantom gx and its one of the best boots ive worn alongside mizuno morelia neo 3s
Nearly got the original gx’s glad I held out because I love these, only problem is I hate bladed studs, do you know if the AG soleplate has the same length studs as the FG?
You might prefer the AG version if you're not a fan of bladed studs. The AG uses shorter, rounded studs and mini-studs to help disperse weight more evenly and helps prevent you foot from catching in the ground 👍
AG stands for Artificial Ground and FG stands for Firm Ground. AG is designed for astroturf, its studs are round so that when playing on astroturf it decreases the risk of injury when cutting/changing direction. FG is what I'd recommend to you since you're looking for something you can use on both grass and astroturf. FG studs are more like blades as seen in this video, great for astroturf as well as grass pitches. Hope this helps
I was looking to get Nike Phatom GX 1 gripknit because they look real nice, ive heard great things about them and i have a wide foot and i heard they are great for wide feet. So i went into store to see if they had them so i could try em on but they didnt, they only had the gx 2, so are the gx 1 and gx 2 the exact same size fitting in width especially, because when i tryed them they were to narrow width wise? Any help would be appreciated.
The shape of the GX 2 is almost identical to the previous model, apart from the slightly deeper toe box. It shouldn't affect the width though. Hope that helps!
Great review Sam.Keep up the good work.

For wide foot?
Per Nike, "For use on slightly wet, short-grass fields."
Dumb question, can it be used on Turf?
Ideally we recommend the "AG" (Artificial Grass) version on 3G/4G surfaces but it is possible to wear the FG outsole as well 👌
Best looking boot
How do you get that blackout colorway

What is different between ag and fg studs and what is the best to buy if playing on grass and astroturf

Should i get them same size as my normal shoes if i got wide feet?
The upper is very soft and forgiving so you should be fine sticking with your regular size in these 🙂
Not a fan of the Luna sole plate
It's not going to be everyones cup of tea! 🤷♂️
The short answer is no
Maybe for some! 😉
