Great review Noah. After Accuracy this Elite model looks great and glad that Adidas went in the right direction with this and didn't do anything stupid like the Edge.
I'm with you in the fact that I would have preferred on the Elite model the knitted tongue and I don't understand why they went with the standard classic on this model, but used the knitted one on the lower model. Hopefully the width of that tongue is gonna help out, but I know that it will shift no matter how tight it is.

Predator for me, because the u-throat construction means I can pull the laces tight and get a nice wrap on my slim foot. The GX2 has a predetermined shape which my foot doesn’t have enough volume to fill.

Predator feels super comfortable at the bottom of the feet. Both do actually. The GX2 actually feels like a thick sock. So buttery and soft. Softer than magista 2 obra. And very very grippy all around.
Predator feel stiffer initially. But they feel so nice to the touch. Like a suede like feeling to me. I stuck with predator because I am old and prefer a tongue lol. Easier to tighten or loosen.
I’ll add that it was very easy to get the gx2 on my feet. No issues there. But I just prefer a tongue.

If you fit in the Phantom you'll probably fit in either mate. Both are excellent options, just depends what you want in a boot.

I tried on both models in store 10.5 US. Found the Predator to be wayyy to tight, the Phantom definitely less so, but likely need to go a half size up for both. Did you find the same thing, and has the Predator loosened up at all since broken in?

I go true to size on both, and the predator stretches over time when you break them in.
I want to try the gx2 but hard time finding the black pair in an AG stud pattern in 9.5 since I mostly play on AG and once in a while grass.

Hey Noah, I just got my Predator Elite Laced no tounge but when I wear them at home they put a lot of pressure on the top of my big toenails. I tried cutting my toenails as short as possible but still the same issue. Should I return the Predators and get the new GX 2 instead?
If you're at home you're probably on hard wood or carpet.... that's not a pitch 😂 I would try them out on pitch and break them in a little and then decide
Just picked up some toe sleeves for my big toes and wore them with the boots during training and they feel amazing now

I really like the flexible soleplate of the original GX. Would you say the GX2 has the same flexibility?
Tried gx2 on and they feel very buttery bendy. Even with that cyclone stud pattern, very comfortable to stand on.
Think the unisport video has them being even more flexible than the 1 from memory

Maybe! Not really comparable boots though, as they fit and feel completely different.

i have pretty flat and wide feet which out of the two would you recommend, i have tried the gx2s out and there was a bit of a gap where my foot was and the top of the upper but preds had a pretty snug and tight fit, would they losen up after breaking them in right?
They will mate, yes. The other option is trying on the GX2 in a 1/2 size down

Having the predator, after a few matches on AG, I have to say they aren't suitable for it at all. The studs are way too long and aggressive, they put a lot of strain on the legs, and have caused me a lot of pain, just hoping it's not long term. Have ordered the Phantoms with AG studs and will hopefully it will be better. This is the 2024 version though as it has a wider toebox. The teal one in the video was very tight widthwise and squeezed my toes.
Hmm... I tend to disagree, but that's all personal preference at the end of the day! It also depends what kind of AG you play on as well. Sorry to hear you've had pain because of it! No fun at all...

looks like I need to replace my Adidas x crazyfast 1 soccer shoes with these shoes I have problems with kicking the ball crazyfast 1 is only good for running and dribbling

Is the sizing of different countries a factor? I know your TTS is based off of US sizing. For example, I’m an 8.5UK in Nike, which is a 9.5US, but an 8.5UK in adidas is a 9US - so if you say both these boots fit TTS for you based on US sizing, would I in theory need to go 9UK in adidas to make it TTS in comparison to my Nike 8.5UK, if you get what I’m saying? 😂
No mate, although all of my sizing comments are based on US sizing. I wear a 9US across most boots, with some variation depending on the model!

I found the predators to be very uncomfortable and the fg studs to be very aggressive on AG, the toe box is quite narrow also. The upper seems pretty rigid also. I did not enjoy these boots

I bought the new Phantom GX2 and I’m mad that they ruined it.
The Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 was just perfect cause I have wide feet.
Now for me GX2 and GX1 are for narrow feet.
I’m sad cause GX2 and GX1 are beautiful and look very comfortable but just can’t buy it.
I bought Puma Future turf and they are już right as Adidas Crazy fast (I have them too)
I wish that Phantoms will be again for wide feet in the future :(
Now I just have to buy something from Puma or Adidas cause they are just for my wide feet.

Hi Noah, fantastic video. I have been invited to a GK session for a club I'd like to play for this Wednesday (trial). I am curious if you have any rare tips or advice (i.e., something I can't easily find via a google search or YT video search on the topic). I do have some nerves.
1) Focus on your PROCESS, not the outcome of every action or move.
2) Control what you can control, and let go of everything else.
3) Focus on doing what YOU do best, not what you think the coach will like.

I was waiting to get the gx2, and actually I'm happy with the product.
I absolutely hate the cyclone 360 soleplate, but fortunately I mostly play on ag so I'm just gonna go with an ag pair that removes the problem.
Also I'll wait for a better colourway which is set to release the 22nd of january cause this one is just not it for me
I hope they are planning a blackout or mostly black pair, or else I shall customize a pair and pay more money :(

So this didn’t help 🤣 they both seem so good! Depending on pricing on next colour I may edge towards the GX because I loved the first gen but I would 100% go AG not a fan of the luna soleplate

Considering you had to take the preds off after 10minutes in your playtest, i was pretty surprised you called them comfortable and wide.
That happens with almost every boot mate, even the GX2!
