    I keep going back and forth on if my discomfort with referring to myself as a woman is due to some internalized transphobia from not passing and an understanding of how society at large still sees me or if I may be non-binary. This was very enlightening and has given me something to think about. Thank you. It's also wonderful to see more people discovering more about themselves and becoming more comfortable with their identity. ❤️🏳️‍⚧️

    Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been struggling so much with dysphoria lately and feeling so conflicted about wanting to “pass” and be accepted as a woman while also acknowledging that I don’t want to perpetuate the binary. You are seriously someone I look up to as another non binary trans woman. Thank you so much for using your platform to educate others and affirm people like me. Sending you so much love.

    This has been one of the most clear explanations I've come accross. I love how open you are about who you are. I only hope that society could get it's act together. It breaks my heart that those who struggle with gender identity are ostracized. Please, continue to be outspoken in this! ❤

    Starting my gender transition at 44. Listening to you has been so helpful to me. I get so confused about things sometimes, but you address everything that confuses me and puts me at ease. I have had multiple surgeries like you, but I still don’t feel like a woman yet. I guess because hair removal is so difficult to achieve and access. Thank you for all your helpful information. You are great.

    They’re so in tune with the idea of gender. This is how I always thought of it as and they put it more eloquently than I ever could. I’m a trans non-binary female as well but I was assigned female at birth. I always thought it was confusing for me to not still include female in there. While I do feel like I was born in the wrong body I also don’t want the male form at all. Sometimes I feel masculine, sometimes I feel feminine but I always am still overall a woman.

    Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm AFAB and I've been going back and forth about not feeling "agender enough" to identify as nonbinary but also not feeling like I'm just a woman or limited to being in just that binary gender role. For a long time I felt like "I don't have body dysphoria so I can't be Trans right??" But I feel like you described exactly how I feel about my gender

    Rose, I am a 53 year old transwoman She/Her and I just barely starting transitioning 6 months ago. I get what you say anf the way it works for me is because I have been living my life as a man for my entire life that my behavior and the way I handle myself is very masculine because that's what I'm use to and that's how society has made me and programmed me. And I absolutely hate it because it makes me confused and it makes me feel as if I'm Non-binary. But my whole life as a child I've always felt like a woman and I've always wanted to be a Cis woman. I've always hated being a guy but because I've been so use to living as a man that sometimes I feel I'm Non-binary but I keep on going back and fourth and I feel that I belong on the female spectrum despite my lack of femininity. Does that make sense? Another words. JUST BECAUSE I'M NOT FEMININE ENOUGH DOESN'T MEAN I'M NOT BINARY TRANSGENDER WOMAN. I wanted your opinion on that. That's how I feel personally. Thank you for the video ❤💃♀️🏳️‍⚧️💙🌸💙🌸💙🌸🦋

  • @alicetremblay-bergeron1438

    Thank you soo much for this video!!! I've also realized recently that I am a non-binary woman (I didn't know it was even possible until a month ago...) With that being said, i'm a french speaker and french is a frickin mess when it comes to gender (every noun has a gender and adjectives are gendered too)! For that reason, i'm still more comfortable with She/Her (elle) pronoms because I feel like I would be misgendered a lot otherwise...

    • @mm.m8942
      @mm.m8942 Před 3 lety +2

      At least, we still have "iel" pronouns witch is a first step to allow people to claim their nb identity, then the administration and educational system need to fully recognize it. It's a start, sure there still so much to do but we should see it as a real change. So society can see it as a natural evolution that is needed.

    Your words are so honest, kind, and relieving. There's a lot of trans people on internet who make videos to respond to anti-trans or anti-non binary comments or people, and many times even using humor, you can feel the hurt, and the almost aggressive tone when they express "I exist and fuck you if you don't like it or don't understand it". Of course those claiming are necessary, but here, the way you choose to express it, explain it, without any barrier or judgement to others because your main objective is to enlighten and educate people by sharing true words is a real medecine to it. You goal is to reunite people whoever they claim to be, and give them the opportunity to understand each other and that is a blessing. Thank you.

    • @otovga
      @otovga Před 2 lety

      like they said in the video: gender is a social construct. we were taught to believe that there were only men and women, when in reality gender is a spectrum. rose feels connected to her womanhood, she also feels connected to their nonbinary identity. being a "man" or a "woman" can mean whatever you want it to mean.

  • @igorsoro8316
    @igorsoro8316 Před rokem +1

    This was an interesting video and perspective. Gender is not a social construct however, there is virtually no scientific proof for it being a social construct. It's sad there is so much of this confusion in today's western culture. Every human was created in God's image and there was purpose and intention to each child being born with certain genitalia, a certain set of chromosomes, and DNA. Having feminine tendencies does not automatically make you a woman or transgender. Both genders experience a variety of tendencies, that doesn't mean you need to now redefine your identity. God loves you and cares for you, find your identity in God's love for you, not what this confusing world says.

Im not judging just trying to understand I mean the nonbinary I get i have nonbinary friends but from what i know of nonbinary its basically nothing gendered period and adding transwoman in there just makes for an added layer of confusion if that makes sense. Obviously ill call you whatever you prefer its just kinda confusing. Nothing but respect and love for you though.

    Not to push back on who you know yourself to be, but has gender ever truly been binary? There may have been a time when people claimed to agree, more broadly, than they do now, that there is only man and woman and that man and woman only means this and that, but it’s all been observably bullshit. Women cannot live up to what is said to be the definition of high femme at any given time in history and neither can men live up to the hypermasculine ideal. It’s sort of a gendered way of understanding perfection in my mind. So you may have a man that identifies as hypermasculine, but outside of respecting their “gender identity” most people can agree that he cannot live up to that ideal at all times and therefore isn’t.
