@DutchWings As a doctor, that term isn't used anymore in professional circumstances. We call it DSD, disorders of sexual differentiation...There are many DSDs now classified under that obsolete term ( in our medical field) .I don't feel compelled to educate you, since you get your info from random social media links and post. But if you're keen, I can give you a simplified paragraph on that pathology, that's easy to understand from a lay person's point of view. And for your info , saying this above does not take away the rights and joys of life I believe trans people should live. I am just correcting the semantics and definitions since people on SM seem to have lost it ,being permanently on a loggerheads , some trying to negate biology thinking that's going to further acceptance, other denying the existence of trans.
@@xena6894 That's fine if you don't want to educate me, but in my experience as a transgender person, the term Intersex is still widely used in the lgbtq+ community. Maybe not in the medical field so much, but for most people it is. I also don't get my information from random social media links on facebook or twitter or some shit like that. I try to get my information on subjects from people actually related to them, or doctors specializing in those subjects. It is also worth noting that we have a long way to go socially, with the WHO only dropping transgender people from their mentally ill list in 2019, just 3 years ago. I wasn't trying to claim an understanding of medicine, nor claim to be a doctor. I was just making a statement trying to advocate for basic human rights.
@DutchWings I get your point. On human rights PoV, I have no objections. On scientific PoV, it's astonishing to see one of those " viral " videos where a TG claims their rights to be seen by a gynecologist ( for a pap smear for instance) were infringed. It pains me for them but I blame your doctors, your health system that put little to educating the TG before, and after transition. It's really a shame to see that in a first world country. It contributes to create the rejection your people are experiencing. I see why people say it's even self inflicted . We should strive to keep basic medical facts in biology , physiology, endocrinology , genetic real and as accesible knowledge to both transitioners and the general public. Instead the TRAs have co- opted the science , the logic to their political gains, which I think is counter- productive to the cause. And what makes it worse is only few TG are pushing back on these. Then that leaves it to the transphobes to fill that gap. If you guys would take it up to you to educate your people that a TG would never need something as a Pap smear, a gynecologist, a mammogram, never "experience period " , people wouldn't be making all the harmful attacks on your people.

I could be wrong but I don't think she can. One of the effects of Estrogen is increased difficulty to get erections as a big part of erections is testosterone, and she has been on estrogen for over 5 years now.
It typically restrains from any further expansion and keeps you in place. There might be some engorgement or swelling from blood flow but you'll still be soft. A lot of trans women don't really get that way though especially if they've been dysphoric from it and sort of conditioned/learned not to engage their body that way or from estrogen.

Is it bad to go with the tape option for most days. Like my dysphoria is to the point where I don’t really care about the pain and want it to be as flat as possible as long as possible

Ok so genuine question. I can’t understand how it is done still. Especially with the little pockets in underwear. I am a cis woman and I am genuinely curious just how exactly it’s done. It just doesn’t make sense in my head where exactly everything goes. I ask this with the most sincere support. I am highly active in trans women content on CZcams and have watched y’all for years and years. I love you all. This is just something I have never been able to get an answer on.

Afab enby here, there is information online on how its done as well, but I assume with using the pockets its just a bit compression so it holds everything.
But I can't imagine it's comfortable.
Its like a binder in a way for me when I'm binding I wear a type of compression top and that holds everything into my chest decreasing the appearance of breasts. So I assume it works similarly.
Just behind the male bits there is some cavity areas into which the offending parts can be pushed and a gaff holds it in place .Gets easier over time and there is no pain and gets second nature after a while .
So the offending bits go into the canal where they came from. If only they had of stayed there. The scrotum skin gets pulled back, and then the thing gets pulled back too, and some tape if you want to hold it all in place or a special knickers or just a good tight one. It dies not hurt at all. If fact it's more painful and way more uncomfortable when its out. The day I get my bottom surgery will be the happiest day of my life. Almost two years HRT 🙂

You can do that, and that's what she's referring to. Also, some women will add a maxi pad there or slide a cut out into it to help absorb any discharge during menstruation or (and this can/does happen with trans women too) from self lubrication and arousal.

it's not meant to be a pocket at all, but rather just a doubling of the fabric that's left open on one side. Cheaper to make that way, and more comfortable to wear as it means one less seam.
Exists in both male and female underwear btw.

Trans people get what's called gender dysphoria, it's not shame - it's legitimate psychological distress that arises from your body being fundamentally at odds with your identity in a jarring way - and self love and acceptance often requires you to be true to your ACTUAL self by taking steps to align your inside with your outside. What you're suggesting isn't self-acceptance or self-love for many trans folks, because the "self" you're suggesting they accept isn't actually them
