- Remember it’s never polite to ask what’s in between someone’s legs. Sometimes I bring it up. Doesn’t mean I’m always comfortable talking about it. There’s no shame in having bottom surgery. I’ve had many surgeries to affirm myself. I fully support people who want/have surgery. I just don’t ever want it Your trans body is beautiful and perfect. I should point out that trans women with a small penile shaft may put themselves in grave danger if they attempt bottom surgery. The reason for this is that vaginoplasty involves penile inversion. If there is not enough length, then intestinal tissue is used. As this is cut, there is a real risk of sepsis and death. hence bottom surgery should only be carried out after very carefully weighing up the pros and the cons. Never ever opt for vaginoplasty because a boyfriend has said you do not look feminine enough. He doesn't understand that you are risking your life, and probably doesn't love you enough to find out. In addition, it can take up to several years to recover physically from the trauma of this operation. So tread with extreme caution.
Penile inversion is such an old technique. It’s almost always Perinial pull through nowadays. The same surgery cis women get when they are born with a vaginal canal.

I always wanted bottom surgery I had it done 5 years ago and honestly the maintenance of dilation is making me wish I never did. Other than that I don’t miss tucking and being paranoid about showing

Well I really don't know exactly how to respond to this comment because i don't want to come across as being nasty or judgemental, but 1, did no one tell you about having to dilate before the surgery,? 2, i really hope you didn't go through that just so you didn't have to tuck every day, that's a lot to go through for that reason, and 3, i genuinely hope you never have any of the complications that can come with these surgeries, I know you obviously were in a position where you felt a certain way but I wish doctors would tell the truth to you guys when it comes to bottom surgery specifically there are potentials for massive complications from the day you have the surgery till the day you die hopefully of natural causes as an old person who has had a fulfilling life, but the risk in my opinion is to great and could very well take a lot of the joy of just being alive. I really do hope you have a long fulfilling life and I'm sorry you have to dilate all the time, have a great life.

But I can't change it so why should I let it effect my life and be depressed. I'm having a great life, I'm blessed financially and enjoy my man-made kitty. But I would tell any trans girls (do it if you want) my advice is DO NOT have the surgery.

To one degree I don't want it. That typically comes from the fact that people have been negative about the fact that I still have that part, and I shouldn't have to get it cause they think I should get it. But on a personal level I do want it cause being intimate and using that part just feels weird.

As the mom of an adult trans daughter, thanks for talking about this so openly. My daughter has a higher risk of complications from any surgery, so she's decided on the "if it ain't broke" strategy. One day she might change her mind. Either way, we've got her back. 😊

If a person has extremely strong dysphoria about their penis, then bottom surgery makes sense. If a person feels strongly about bottom surgery affirming they are a woman, then bottom surgery makes sense. If a person desires sexual contact that includes vaginal penetration and clitoral stimulation, bottom surgery makes sense. If a person wants sex as a lesbian that excludes penile penetration, bottom surgery makes sense. If none of these apply, there is no reason to have bottom surgery other than not wanting to tuck. In my opinion, if a person's bottom surgery is about not tucking they should not do it because the benefit from the surgery is not worth the trouble that goes along with the surgery and maintaining the changes in your body. I think Rose has made the right choice for her! She helps all trans people understand what it means to live authentically.

It’s like you said in your TikTok video about tucking that when you are “small” it’s difficult. Well that’s me, and the main reason I have decided on bottom surgery for myself. I am so past hurting myself to tuck because I am small. I know it’s not for everyone, and I would never pass my decision onto anyone else. I know it’s going to help me be with myself.

This way of thinking that one has to be a certain way to be fully accepted by people is hurtful to oneself. There is different types of everything for everyone, one should just wait for that person that doesn't judge you and is fully happy with who you are, period. Trying to explain it is hard because everyone judges and has opinions that were put in our minds by other people and aren't really ours, because we didn't create them we just accepted them as ours. Although I am not on HRT at the moment I have realized long before I stopped taking the little pill that I am who I am and what other people think doesn't matter. Funny thing is even where I work though I am officially on the roster here under my male name I get called ma'am, miss, etc. especially when I am not trying to present as a miss or ma'am. It's funny because our work uniforms as Security Officers are actually unisex/ androgynous in appearance. We wear black tactical pants and black, gray or navy polo shirts with the security company's logo and livery on them. I also have come to the realization that I don't need bottom surgery to live as the woman I am. I am a somewhat alpha woman and I find that whether I lived as a woman or as a man my basic attitude and personality is a strong individual wanting to live my life as I want to live it and everyone else can just go flip off.
I work security too and my work uniform clocks me 90% of the time, with a few rare exceptions. I probably have the same type of uniform as you, polo shirt, black shoes, and tan khakis. The company I work for claims it's "gender neutral," but really I think most "gender neutral" work uniforms are just guy clothes, sadly. (I'm MtF btw)
We need many more trans people, who can opt to choose HRT and genital reassignment, and who are not hindered in the process by the medical profession or others. I would like to see the transitioning process made much easier and faster.
Also, all surgeries should be made faster and free... Like gastric bypass and heart surgeries... I don't understand why it isn't already.

A woman body was created in such a beautiful unique way where women are the only ones who can menstruate every month and carry children and develop breast naturally. Women are supposed to have uterus and have eggs.... these are the functions of a woman. Women who struggle with infertilities or who cannot menstruate for whatever reason does not take away the fact that they still biological women they have some defects doesn’t take away the fact that this is what a the female body was designed to do irrespective of there complications. . On the other hand transwomen cannot do any of these things. It’s impossible for them to carry children or menstruate etc. just by you saying body parts don’t define a woman eases real women’s struggles and existence.

One of the reasons I underwent GRS was that I hated the bulge. Tucking never seemed to work well enough for me and I hated that feminine underwear didn’t fit well. Back then there weren’t any lingerie designed for trans women at least that visibly marketed anywhere.
But I did it since the original configuration didn’t function after the HRT, being too sensitive and not tough enough and I was into men anyway. So intercourse was more interesting as an option. But I learned the hard way that the subset of men who could be with a trans woman but only if she has underwent GRS isn’t much higher than the men who could be with any kind of trans woman. But it’s fun that you can pass even while being in the nude. And sometimes I’ve forgot to tell I’m trans until after sex. Luckily they were ok with it but some didn’t know.
Hats off to trans women who want to stay non-op and can embrace it!
