Top 10 Greatest Dunkers In NBA History - Sport
Disagree with our list? Let us know your thoughts!
Not at all
Yup
I would put Lavine in there
You guys forgot giannis
I would put giannis in number 1 because of his power
Personally, Nonstop Sports is that one channel I search for when I got a good meal and no good video in the recommendations.
that’s how i started this vid
Appreciate that!
@@nonstop Omfg, you actually replied thank you this made my day ahahahaha
@Jy'Mir Smith Yezsir, facts indeed
same
Prime Blake was a dunking machine
Joining the Nets might give Blake that fire that he needs because he actually has something to play for
mozgov can agree with that
I really miss the LOB CITY
Dude idk I’ve never quite seen someone dunk as ferociously as he did in his prime
Yeah before he got the Jenner curse
Vince is without a doubt the best dunker in Nba history
Nah I'd say Steve Nash
@@lxvidfn lmao
No it’s muggsy bogues
Yessir
Kemp could dunk all over carter
Who else has been watching nonstop sports ever since they saw their first video
@Hacks. org you joined 4 months ago U idiot
@Jesse Lozensky thats the biggest cap ever
Me
???
Yea I didn’t even know it was his first Video with his Thumbnail
Honorable Mentions: Tmac, Zach Lavine, Aaron Gordon (Atleast in the dunk contest), Jason Richardson, and Westbrook
Lavine isn't a great in game dunker. He's talented, but he doesn't do any flashy dunks in game. If this was a best dunker in general list, he needed to be top 3.
@@makaveli9789 wdym he always does flashy dunks, im a bulls trust me i know better.
@@Eskild2300 Others do it better in game
@@makaveli9789 Not as flashy look up his highlights they are all 360's and windmills while shooting 70% at the rim.
What about Dr. J?
Bravo, the correct #1 choice.
Vc all the way!
I honesty think Clide The Glide should be higher.just saying
Vinsanity all the way
Mj23 tho
Lavine
Vince literally ended a man's career.
@Bagel I don't think he had suicidal thoughts chill
@@josephtobey9056watch the interview u tweaking bruv don’t say sum if u don’t know it
@@davidlee2800 ye but u don't have to say the man had suicidal thoughts like chill
@@josephtobey9056 but he did tho
@@josephtobey9056 he literally said it though, why are you being a dumbass?
Ja's definitely gonna be on this list in the future
Zion too
@@matthewsiahaan2649 Yessir
Nah cuz he dunks like westbrook and westbrook aint on this list neither
Edwards too
Ja is gonna be in the almost best dunkers in the future
We most likely know the top 5 without the vid
Haven’t watched it yet but imma guess Jordan, VC, Lebron, Dominique Wilkins and Zach Lavine
I’ma guess Kobe, Jordan, LeBron, VC, and Shaq and if Shaq doesn’t count Dominique Wilkins
@Kolbeinn Maron L. Bjarnason he is 5 for me
@@angelinac4381 he can't make the dunk contest
No Tracy McGrady 🤔🤔 c’mon
Completely agree. Tmac was something else
I disagree Tracy McGrady was a great in game dunker but he’s not better than anybody on this list And he wasn’t revolutionary
@@WhoKilledWesley Right.
Agree what’s up with Tracy McGrady and other notable players such as Zach lavine and jr smith
was literally about to comment that. preach bro
Vince Carter is the first player in the NBA who I grew up watching and favorite player back then. Miss the old days
Really good list, love these videos! I think Shawn Kemp should be higher and possibly replacing Clyde with Tracy McGrady.
I agree with kemp but not the replacement
I think Kemp should have been #2
David Thompson was also very influential. When playing for North Carolina State, Thompson was Michael Jordan's favorite player. Bill Russell was the first player to use the dunk(and the block) as a way of intimidation. Followed by Wilt Chamberlain. Shaquille O'Neil in the modern game. James Worthy and Tom Chambers were also very good dunkers.
Honorable mention:
Stromile Swift, Shaq
Man I really missed Tracy McGrady here😁
ikr
Very good list. Fair and accurate with some cool highlights
U could've listed these as Honorable Mentions; JRich, TMac, D' Skywalker.
Russ too tbh
And Giannis
Aaron gordon and lavine as well
@@juansebastianraadmeza9405 the list is about in game dunkers
@@justnotit3805 Aaron gordon and lavine have a ton of more impressive in-game dunks than the 10th and 8th seed
Yessir, I love this channel, this is my Go-to
Clyde looked 40 yrs old freshman yr at Houston lol. Very underrated
Good list . I agree Vince Carter and Dr J seemed to hang in the air for eternity. Charles Barley also had some fierce dunks The dude was fast for a big and he was a beast in his prime
One player I would have kept in this list is Mr David Skywalker Thompson!! Otherwise it's a great list❤️
your videos are so underated you deserved more SUB!
2:23 bro WHAT 😂 I needed to listen to that like 5x to fully even comprehend it
Show Tmac some love 😭
Spot on. But i think we also need to make mention of guys like Penny, Grant Hill and TMac as well. Esp Penny, his dunks were quick and powerful. 👍
I would take Blake Griffin and put one of those 3
If I’m bored, and I have no good yt recommendations, I come to Nonstop even to watch old videos, and NONSTOP SPORTS vids never get boring 🔥
And I bet Caruso wasn't mentioned smh🙂💔
@Hacks. org somebody a hater
@Hacks. org goddamn
@Hacks. org your annoying...
@Hacks. org stfu
@Hacks. org You’re shit shut up
I've always appreciated in-game dunking more than contest dunking. So much more difficult. When it comes to contests, the best in the world aren't even NBAers, but street ballers and guys like Kilganon who only do that one thing.
This is an awesome list. Very well put together with well chosen footage. 👏 As for who could eventually break into this top 10, my money's on Zach Lavine. I would've included Aaron Gordon too but he seems to have lost his love for the dunk after his last dunk contest loss and that's a huge shame.
What about Westborok?
these are ingame dunks, zach lavine or aaron gordon not even top 30 but if it was dunking in general then both players would def be top 10
Half man half amazing! Vinsanity baby!!! Vince Carter is my favorite player of all time. I was a teen when Vince was in his prime, and I watched every game I possibly could and got to see most of his famous dunks live, including the Olympic dunk.
your videos have been in my recommended a lot lately, and i’m not complaining
I must admit Nonstop Sports has something over any other basketball related channels.
yes
You forgot Westbrook in my opinion but this list is still really good
Lol nah this guy hates him with a passion
Your channel is amazing keep it up
This is the channel I go to to listen to while I’m playing 2k madden something and then just learn about players and playing video games at the same time
I feel like Tracy McGrady and giannis could be in honorable mentions
ya
Paul George too
And spudd webbcause he was the shortest NBA player to dunk
tmac? yes but giannis? NO
Im sorry bro but you missed gerald green
fax
Nah
Kemp is in my top 3 dunkers , Vince Carter, Shawn Kemp,Darryl Dawkins,
Nice vid
Sad that Big Diesel didn't make it, I absolutely love your channel though! Keep up the great vids.
D rose 🥀
Spud Webb. Man is under appreciated. Only 5’7 and yet he could fly through the air with his 46 inch vertical. 3 time dunk contest winner
Webb won the contest once; Nate Robinson won it thrice
I think this list and the order is fair game! Can’t say I disagree with any name on the list... plus the order isn’t something I would argue. Good stuff!!
Yes, Charles Barkley!!!
I would say zion , but give that man a few more years to prove he belongs on this list
Zion and Giannis
@@sprtingeteb1396 and zach lavine
After he loses weight and gets out of new Orleans. Possibly.
I’ve seen many videos ranking dunks, passes, blocks, and great plays, but most are far from accurate and don’t consider the NBA beyond the past decade. This video is the best I’ve seen. Kemp and Dawkins were 2 of the best power dunkers in the NBA, though often overlooked. Awesome video.
Great list, I'd just like to mention JR Rider gave life to the new generation of creative dunks when he went between the legs 1st.
I still remember that, being in the back yard jumping off a trampoline trying to do it. Yeah, he definitely changed the dunk contest with that dunk
@@exloaded exactly lol
@@Bojacc357 yo, remember Dee browns no look dunk?? We all thought that was the shit back in the day. Now it's a joke, hahahaha
@@exloaded That's crazy, I just looked at Dee Brown highlights after this. Dee Brown looked like he could levitate at times.
Michael Jordan: Style
LeBron James: Raw fucking power
Nothing wrong with either one.
Both 2 of my top 3 dunkers, but I struggle putting one above the other cos their dunks are just so mesmerising.
I can’t imagine seeing a 6’8 260 pound man with a 48inch vertical coming at you
@@brendandauria8606 I thought it was a 44 inch. Jordan had the highest vertical leap at 48 I believe
Can't believe you forgot the 2 GOATs....Alex Caruso and Brian Scalabrine
dry
Great video but where was paul george playoff pacers p hit different
List pretty legit glad u guys put vc at 1 n got it right
Lebron hasn’t even participated in a dunk contest and does the same tomahawk dunk every time. Id say he’s #5 at best not #3
Go watch some more highlights then. And participating in a dunk contest means nothing
his posters are almost untouchable. An the dunk contest argument is a big LuL
@@dbarller I would bet a lot of money by stating that Vince Carter wouldn't have been called the best dunker in nba history if he wouldn't have participated in the 2000s dunk contest, so dunk contesting does matter
@@juansebastianraadmeza9405 thank you for this comment. This helps prove my point even more
@@dbarller it doesn't prove your point even more, because Vince Carter is literally attributed the best dunker in nba history because of that revolutionary dunk contest and everyone went to see him dunk later in games because they learned from that dunk contest that he could dunk. Same thing happens with lavine
As long as you put vinsanity at first idc what you’re list looks like
Love the list. Lemme get some giannis respect though in the future!
For me Shawn Kemp is top 3.
Great video btw.
Was I the only one waiting for David Thompson. C’mon he’s the damn sky walker man.
LeBron James is my favorite dunker
@Hacks. org bruh you replying on every comment
Thank you for including Dominique because he is very underated
Jason Richardson, man was a freak.
Shaq isn't on this list? The guy who broke the backboard so many times you can find a highlight reel on youtube?
Yoooo sup
Totally agree with this list, the only thing is I'd probably change up the order a little bit. Peace and love y'all 🤟
Some time in the future I think ja mordant may be on this list with his high flying dunks
Giannis and Shaq them r both absolutely dominant around the rim.
Russell Westbrook should surely be on this list....... tf someone didn’t rewatch the 2016-2017 mvp Russ season highlights before making this list
Nah bruh Westbrook ain't close watch Tmac dunk's instead he ain't here either
LOVE the thumbnail. If not 1 mil, then easy 500k
you should make top 10 best finishers
You should make a separate video for Best "Big Man" dunkers of all time, they need a separate list. KG, Shaq, DeAndre Jordan, Boogie, etc. Not as flashy but dominant and a huge part of dunking culture in my opinion.
Not having Zach lavine on this list is pure criminal. He is the second best dunker ever
is in game dunks, if we counted the dunk contest he should be in the top 3 but they said is was in game only
Zach's in-game body of work can't match the guys on this list. Dunk contestwise though, he's arguably at par with Vince as the best to ever do it. MJ's dunk contest performances weren't on Vince, Zach or Aaron Gordon's level.
First love this channel
@Hacks. org LITERALLY STOP COMMENTING
@@vinny121vinny2 exactly
The man that laid the foundation that we now call the North.
....All hail Vince Carter
Greatest blocks
Man that will be awesome
Blake Griffin should have been higher than lbj im sorry
Kemp and Blake have to be higher but definitely agree with everyone on the list for sure!!
Video 8 of asking for how good actually were the 04 pistons
Blake Griffin should be a top 5 dunker of all-time💯
no
if vince isnt number 1 delete the vid
fax
Vince was better in the dunk contest than at in game
@Hacks. org it's the foot ball team now ain't no resdskins
@@lucasmaddocks4804 actually that’s not true. Vince just had more memorable dunks in the contest but his best du kd were outside the contest
I like the list.
Make a video of how good is steve Nash, charles barkley, Julius erving, and oscar robertson
no way you’re gonna put lebron over dr j and especially over dominique wilkins who many argue is the best dunker of all time
I’m not arguing that Dominique Wilkins is the best of all time because he’s not
@@WhoKilledWesley nah hes definitely is
Vince is the undisputed dunking GOAT.
Let's go nonstop
Wilt Chamberlain before he developed his finger roll and fall away jumper was mostly making dunk shot. His dipper dunk was what most of point from paint came from. And he scored a lot of point from it.
He should be here.
Shaq should be on this list!
Westbrook?
The Human Highlight Film bro 😊
Great video dude
I disagree with Lebron being ranked higher than Dominique and Dr. J 🤮
I agree, how can you put someone on no 3 spot without winning any dunk contest?
That's a valid point. You could even make a case for Shawn Kemp being higher than Lebron, he was an animal. I think Blake should be higher than Lebron too.
@@allenchen666 he was never in a dunk contest...
@@allenchen666 these are “in game” dunks/dunkers
@@allenchen666 YOU ARE SO DUMB HE LITERALLY SAID IN GAME DUNKERS NOT DUNK CONTEST WINNERS
Boa noite FIRST vai amém BOM 👌💪
Since I'm an old guy, I gotta go with my man, Dr. J. Julius Erving. And I'd like to add Gus "Honeycomb" Johnson to this list.
Vince no doubt N1
Vince has the best 360 dunk and the best windmill dunk.
Perfect body control in air
The probable step-sister oceanographically retire because headline accidentally introduce outside a godly grass. roomy, painstaking edger
bro, this music is the most epic of all time
I agree with this list.
Saw Dr. J play for the Squires once. He did not make a jump shot the entire game: scored 42!
Thank you for including Chocolate Thunder. Well deserved. I love Clyde Drexler, but Tom Chambers should of been in this list.
List should be devised by power, hang time , style etc..
I agre with VC being no.1
Big men should get their own list
I think Lavine could make it atleast top 10 od this list if its just on dunk contest criteria
I miss t-mac and Aaron Gordon but it‘s still a great list
