Klay deserves an honorable mention. Arguably the best catch and release shooter in NBA history. 60 points on 11 dribbles doesn't happen by accident lol
sure
Agree 100%
not best shooter in decade🤷♂️

Did kyle korver and ray Allen die ?
Video idea: BEST Defender From Every Decade In NBA History
Draymond Green obviously for every decade
50’s: Bill Russell
60’s: Wilt Chamberlain
70’s: Kareem Abdul Jabbar
80’s: Mark Eaton
90’s: Dikembe Mutombo, Scottie, and Gary Payton
2000’s: Ben Wallace
2010’s: Kawhi Leonard
2020’s: Giannis Antetokunmpo
No Dennis Rodman?
80's would be Mark Eaton tho
90s would be scottie pippen
I feel like Dirk should've been an honorable mention in the 2000s and KD in the 2010s. Both in the 50-40-90 too.
Steve Nash and Klay Thompson
@@codri9932 40 points in a quarter, 60 points on 11 dribbles... Klay Thompson is an honorable mention without a doubt. I believe he is not too far behind Stephen Curry for the best shooter of all time. I mean, he has 2 huge injuries in last 2-3 years and noone doubts he will come back and play like his older self, all because of his pure shooting skills.
@@gipek 37 in a quarter

@@user-sz6kp1tn6c it’s still extremely impressive

While Larry did score 47 points in a game he largely used his left hand, only 10 of his 21 made field goals were left-handed - the others were right-handed.
As I recall, he went the first 3 quarters going with his left only from the field, then started shooting normally in the final quarter as the game was still close.
Bro just hating on Larry legend for no reason
@@dakota.thyhound7781 WHY do you morons call it "hating" on someone to offer the REAL, STILL IMPRESSIVE information vs someone's EXAGGERATION?
The REALLY impressive part is that he had stated BEFORE THE GAME that he was going to play at least the first 3 quarters WITH HIS OFF HAND - then went out and not only did it, HE WAS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER PLAYER ON THE COURT while doing so.
Take your stupid "hating" LIE and shove it.
Thanks for the useless info. I've watched this game numerous times, and Birds off hand ability is ridiculous. Name me another player in NBA history that could even come close to pulling this off. Useless.
@@chrisbrooks6756 Jordan.
Perhaps Maravich.
Perhaps Hondo.
There's 3, probably a few others. But I'll grant ONLY a few.
@@bricefleckenstein9666 Sorry, I've watched every player that you listed, and that's simply not true. Besides a lay up, these guys ALMOST NEVER, shot with their off hand. Bird did it on a regular basis, inside of 15 ft. I've never seen anything like it. Nice try, though.

dirk deserved an honorable mention, he was god of the fadeaway
Imagine if Drazen Petrovic didn't passed away suddenly, he might've been at least top 15-10 greatest shooter

After Reggie came back from his freshman year of college, he and Cheryl played a game 1 on 1 - but Reggie had his last growth that year, was finally taller than his sister, and beat her sollidly.
Cheryl refused to play him after that - but she DID beat her YOUNGER brother regularly before that.
Curry will leave a legacy for sure ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He has already left a legacy for future generations to shoot at.
Peja Stojakovic deserves Honorable Mention from the 2000s
I think Ja deserves an honourable mention too. Man’s a dangerous shooter these days

Day 5 of asking nonstop sports to bring back the deep voice guy
You are the best nba CZcamsr🔥🔥
Incredible as always
imagine Drazen play now WOW
Peja Stojaković definitely deserve a mention.
In the 1970 Finals, Jerry West's 64-foot buzzer-beater was only worth 2 points. It only forced overtime, which the Lakers lost. The same shot in the 3-point era gets the Lakers the title.
Thinking deeply about that is so sad 😞
Not really how that works but point taken 😂
no, because if you look at the shot record for the rest of the game, the knicks made 4 shots from behind the arc whereas the lakers made 2, so they still wouldve lost... thats not the only shot that wouldve counted for 3 in that game
I love nonstop sports nostalgia feels
For an honorable mention in 2010 it could have been either okay or Kyle korver
With a due respect to Reggie Miller, who was number 2 in my opinion, I'd say Michael Jordan was the overall best shooter in the 90's due to the fact that he made shots in every conceivable difficult situation possible in play as well as taking and making them with the highest percentages while taking the most shots.
Agreed. Although I think this video seemed ot focus more on pure shooters, rather than the player that is just the best ever.
@Jacob_Rl That's kindergarten knowledge for me but yeah I was talking about in-game all forms of shooting not just pure shooting. MJ is in fact the greatest shotmaker of all time in this regard. To be fair though Reggie Miller only entered one All-Star game but never tried again after losing to Glen Rice.
@@Jackaroo.Good point. However, Jordan's pure jump shooting tends to be underrated

Honorable mentions for the 2000’s should have been
Steve Nash
Peja
Dirk
Nash should have tied with Allen and Dirk and peja are really good too
We all know that Steph Curry is gonna be the best for the 2020’s as well, because he still has a ton of years left in his career and he’s not stopping him anytime soon

Excellent list
I want to see top 10 best players and top 5 worst players from the nba playoffs like last year
Video request:Top 20 gifted scorers of all time
Nice vid
Bro I knew that Pete Maravich was in this list
8:28
Not knocking on Steve, but he's "only" a *4* time 50/40/90 club member - which is still more than anyone else, though he did't have the VOLUME of many of the other members.
Like all of the members, he's also had at least one "near miss" season where he missed on 1 of the 3 numbers by a fraction of a percent - if you round mathematically he DOES get a 5'th membership season, but if you do that Bird gets 3 and a couple folks get 2.
Can nonstop sports do top 10 best all star game performances plz
Video idea: best dunkers of every era
pete maravich played in the wrong era lol
😂😂😂😂 Facts
Yeah, but still he made his mark.
0:25 Bob Pettit is an honorable mention :) XD
Loved this video but I do think that some of the shooters from the ABA deserved some love too. I mean they're the one's who were using the 3 point line like 10 years before the NBA ever did.
Like Rick Barry.
Jerry West is #22 on the all-time NBA scoring list with 25192 point in only 932 games. Every other player ahead of him on the list played well over 1000 games.. Keep in mind, unlike most of the guards ahead of him on the list, "THE LOGO" had no 3 point line when he played. If West received 3 points for those jumpers instead of 2, he'd be well ahead of them all.
It took Steph Curry 511 fewer games to break Ray Allen's 3 point record. Insane!
70’s = Rick Barry
I have to mention Walt Frazier, along with Rick. People mention Pistol Pete and Bob McAdoo, which is legit. But would anyone want to leave Frazier or Barry open? I don't think so.
BTW, downtown Freddie Brown gets my vote for the best shooter in the 70s. But these guys are obviously next in line.
peja stojakovi'c should be an honorable mention
Most important skill in every decade
Video idea: Most influenced NBA player in every era

The problem is that big men don't learn how to play the POST any more - 60% from 2 point range is better than 40% from 3 'cause you're more likely to get the rebound to TRY AGAIN, and it's also a lot more common.
The long-time 2 point record percentage for a season by WIlt was over *70%* (was passed last year), and 60%+ is fairly common for great post players, while 40% for a season is pretty UNcommon for 3 point shooters and matching Wilt's efficiency from 3 is VERY BLOODY RARE even before you factor in his REBOUNDING efficiency that year on his relatively few misses.
9:32 and per Charles Barkley, the reason big men don't learn the post any more is the surge in popularity in AAU Basketball in recent years, where very few coaches bother trying to TEACH their players anything but how to shoot - and often not even that.
The value of 3 is not just efficiency. Spacing, versatility, I can spend hours here listing these subtleties.
@@Rafaeu777 You're talking to a long-time ABA fan here (AKA preaching to the choir).
But if you don't MAKE those 3 pointer attempts at a fairly high rate, you don't cause anyone to care about you and do NOT get the spacing etc.
Some players just get IGNORED when they're that far from the bucket, as they're no threat worthy of paying attention to (Shaq in his day was a prime example - made one out of HOW MANY despite probably being wide open every time?).
@@bricefleckenstein9666 Of course you have to hit the shots, what a fucking argument is this "If you miss you don't have spacing".
60% is league leading back in the day and if you look at the top 10 2FG% today (which is the era with most of these due to spacing) only handful of them are volume scorers and even back in the day the likelihood of that 2FG% was even that high was even less
There were seasons where one to maybe 2 players who were shooting 2FG% inside the arc at that efficiency from the 70s all the way to the mid 00s. On the other hand 40% while elite is more common, and even stars can hit 40% from 3 in spite of high volume
Makes sense why coaches don’t promote post play and promote a more position fluid game. You can’t convince everybody that they’re going to be Wilt in terms of back to the basket.
There’s literally been only 3 confirmed seasons and possibly a fourth where the top 10 most efficient 2 point shooters have hit 60% and it’s been the past 4 seasons, meanwhile since 1990 to today (32 years) only 2 seasons have the top 10 3 point shooters not all shoot 40% or higher and that’s 1991 and 1992. Numbers show that 40% from 3 is more achievable then 60% inside the arc
Post play has been dying since zone became a thing, and it’s only makes sense to be used by guards because of their ability to dribble and make plays even in the teeth of the zone.
They should've had Rick Barry's pic for the 70s, Larry Bird's pic for the 80s.
2021's best shooter: Ben Simmons
Agreed
Can you do PLZ the best team in every franchise history??
peja stojakavic deserves honorable mentions too
HM: 80s Dale Ellis, 90s Mark Price & Mullin
Nash was a great shooter, glad someone said it
Absolutely. He and Steph are probably the greatest shooters off the dribble, moving left or right back or forth. You can't underestimate their ball handling ability when you factor into their scoring prowess.
If it weren't for Steve's excellence as a passer and point guard, he would get more recognition as the great shooter he was.
Today i dreamed about the Bucks game and i heard a voice in that dream saying:
