Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a 2018 crossover fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Sora Ltd. and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is the fifth installment in the Super Smash Bros. series, succeeding Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The game follows the series' traditional style of gameplay: controlling one of various characters, players must use differing attacks to weaken their opponents and knock them out of an arena. It features a wide variety of game modes, including a campaignfor a single-player and multiplayer versus modes. Ultimate includes every playable character from previous Super Smash Bros. games-ranging from Nintendo's mascots to characters from third-party franchises-and several newcomers.
The game's pre-production phase began in December 2015, following the development of 3DS/Wii U's downloadable content (DLC). Series creator and director Masahiro Sakurai returned along with Bandai Namco Studios and Sora, the studios that developed the previous game; the studios' return sped up the preparation process. Sakurai's goal with Ultimate was to include every character from previous games despite the various development and licensing problems this would cause. A number of well-known video game music composers contributed to the soundtrack, with Hideki Sakamoto writing the main theme.
Nintendo confirmed development of Ultimate in March 2018 and announced it at E3 the following June. It was released worldwide on December 7, 2018, and will be supported after release with DLC adding new characters, stages, and music. Ultimate received universal acclaim, with reviewers applauding its sheer amount of content and fine-tuning of existing Smashgameplay elements. Some critics called it the best game in the series. - Hry

You forgot Chrom. I found young link and Cloud easy. But I needed so mich Time to figure out how to get to Chrom
The guide is cool and all but I don’t even know how to get to the sacred lands so if you could clarify that would be awesome and I would be very appreciative
Sigh, I was following the owls instructions but I didn't know you have to talk to him first. I did another objective then came back and it didn't work. Well at least it's over now. Thanks for the help!!

Chrom was the only one that had me stuck for an hour! Seriously? Jumping in a chest? Who thought of that?
I stumbled upon it by accident, but it was almost as soon as I opened that particular chest.

I thought of it, but I have experience playing Zelda games. Generally, when riddles like that don’t make sense, you just have to look at it in a different angle. Instead of the forest treasure figuratively leading to Chrom, it literally did.
Dave & Memers for me, I was wondering why my opened chest had a “press a” sign, so I did and I was astonished that brings me into Chrom, didn’t took me too long to figure out, in fact, mine was on accident.

What do you do when you can't walk into the trees for the 'East - south - south' thing? I can see the entrance but the game physically will not let me walk in.
Ben H I just encountered this problem, you gotta have the owl statue give you the hint before the game lets you go down the path

Ok I know this was a year ago but I'm pretty sure that Cloud's placement near the Master Sword is a reference to his rivalry with Link since they are very iconic video game swordsman from different gaming companies and be it that his placement is an irony I can get by

Oh god, thank you so much for the part with Chrom! I was able to figure out the other riddles but that one had me scream in frustration.
I got stuck on chrom to be completely honest. Toke me a solid 20 mins to realize what I had to do.

Update! My son was 4 when I posted this, he beat the game and Leukemia since then. As someone who only ever played D2(really showing my age here) I had no clue on how to help him. I really appreciated videos as helpful as this.

Wouldn't you have it that my two mains unlock one right after another. I liked the Cloud in front of the master sword thing, something about it fit.

@@asra-5180 yeah I dont see a huge sword with cloud that works similarly to master sword, either.
There is a meta joke about Cloud guarding the Master Sword.
Young people wouldn't know, but "Ocarina of Time" and "Final Fantasy VII" had a fierce rivalry during Console Generation 5. Or to be more precise, Nintendo fans and Sony fans used them as ammo to shoot down "the other side". Think about it as successor to the "Mario Vs. Sonic" rivalry. It wasn't a mediatic, though. It was used by the fans on Internet forums, rather than both companies on their TV ads.
For us old timers who were angsty teenagers during the Console Wars of the late 90s, Link Vs Cloud was a very intense fight. Remember the promotional illustration that Nomura made when Cloud was revealed for Smash? He is locking his blade against Link in that artwork. That ain't a coincidence. lol "Death Battle" didn't make them fight out of nowhere either. These people knew what they were doing! lol
Some of you might be saying it's not working but It will just you have to talk to the statue again for the path to apper

@Austin John Plays it'd be awesome if you could do a smash 101 guide. Most of the guides out there don't seem to be too newbie friendly/more specific to maining a character.

Best match up for spirits is petey piranha plant and polar bear is the best u can kill anything the akuma match is butter

Also I would recommend Hades with (any spirit that gives Trade-Off Ability) and (any spirit that increases physical attack), makes you a god

Can you only do the puzzles with Kirby? Cause I was trying with Zelda and she wouldn't go down the seceret path but then I switched to Kirby and it worked.
Nathan-Ace Jimenez I had that trouble too. I was using Incineroar. So idk how it worked but I talked the owl one more time after I commented and it worked for me so idk how it worked but it’s a little weird.

you have to talk to the owl statue right before you do it so just talk to it then follow the path

Just beat all the spirits in the area then you'll get the true ending

You can only go through the path after you’ve talked to the owl statute. You must *immediately* walk down the path after speaking to the statue or it will not work.

I was really only interested into getting into that clock puzzle and freeing the Mii Brawler. I main with my Mii. Their my fav characters.
