I think Nick intentionally left in moves that were hard to use or that he didn't think EDM could use effectively. Like sure, he can ewgf but he isn't exactly getting insane follow ups. It's not like float where Peach really needs that for recovery and neutral.
Hence why Steve lost Minecart rather than jab and up tilt.
Would've been funny if he lost to kazuya again only to realize that his lazer isn't the move that is broken.

EDM is fucking cracked. Man won with a nerfed Kazuya against a Ganon and then a roided up Ganon back to back, then almost beat the roided Ganon a second time. That said, Nick's creativity for trolling his friends is amazingly inspiring :D

the reason his Kazuya won twice is because you literally did not nerf him at all
laser can be strong, but it's a very small part of what makes him good. The fact is that he has way too many options. He has SO many moves. Input command throw, diagonal tilts, two down tilts for some reason (3 if you count the weird one where you press A as you come up from a crouch), crouch dash (and the A and B followups), a random reflector, TONS of shield break moves for NO reason, and the things you decided to nerf were laser and up b
He was also slowed

Honestly, just improving Gannons air speed by 20% would alone probably make him mid tier or higher. His recovery, advantage, and disadvantage would suddenly be way better. Another neat buff would be making it so his side special doesn't put him into special fall and does his up-b's grab effect when in the air, then its a recovery tool as well as something he can freely use offstage. Lastly, increasing the shield stun and landing hitbox size of arial down special would give him a nice disadvantage option.

I faced the King Of Skill a few days ago.... And i saw Nick keep up the pace.... When i got absolutely murdered, now i realise the huge gap beetween my smash level and yours, Vernias level, and Eevee level....
Keep practicing one character and get really good half the time it's not skill it's just you don't invest into one character so instead of being insane at one character your bad at 5

Honestly, with the limit break Ganondorf mod recently coming out, I thought you'd be using that, this was a surprise though! Absolutely hilarious!
Honestly, Ganon's one of my favorites to play as. I remember one game where DK used a fully charged Donkey Punch on my Ganon charging a Warlock Punch, Ganon's super armor tanked the hit and then the Warlock Punch took the match. There was also one time on quickplay where it was Hero/Ganon vs Hero/Bowser. 1v2, all on last stock, Hero and Bowser knock me off the stage, fully charging FS and I fire it when they jump after me to spike me. It was then I learned the sword swing animation of Ganon's FS spikes and took both of them down in one go.

I like how the hyper Gannon is actually hust balanced like another high teir. Like not even more OP than Kazuya lol.
It was probably a bit overlooked how Kazuya as a top tier is already pretty similar to Ganon anyway. He's already slow and heavy and while his projectile and recovery is alright, it's not the reason he's dangerous. His ability to outright steal games from one neutral interaction is what makes the character and that's all pretty much untouched.

You can't buff Ganondorf. You can only make everybody worse.
Ganondorf should have been like A or B tier for his heavy attacks alone. He has the crouch kick and so many strong attacks. I don't know he is so low because he's a little slower.
