no that's not true, they define what is a dlc and what isn't. What is included in EOD and what isn't. It's probably in terms of service somewhere, that you clicked "agree" to.

Online vs offline? IDK, but the clear solution with expensive servers is to use direct player hosted servers. However, game devs have stopped supporting this over the last decade. Solution? Stop buying all live service games that don't support user hosted servers. We're here because people kept buying it. Don't like it, stop buying it.
The mod team of SPT is unironically more competent than BSG themselves.
Spt runs servers on your machine. BSG is against that for some reason and will have the matches be online even if "offline". Hence why they claim its costly and it is but that's just poor choice. Clean your code up so deploying binaries for servers to clients isn't something you feel worried to do

Hopefully this shed some light we do our very BEST to be transparent with y'all.
Basically the cheaters ruined our game for new players and we are slowly bleeding out current players, so we have to try and suck money out of the existing players.
I expect this is a last ditch effort to get a boost in cash before they abandon the game.
Worst part is there are still streamers and other players who bought this edition straight away and they couldn't care less.
streamers get paid to promote it, so they likely got it free (or reimbursed), players are just NPC peons who will throw money at anything.
now I could see from there point of view I mean I have owned games here I have liked them so much that I didn't care about its flaws but I also agree with sercer25 they get paid to do it alot of the time so if I were in the position where all I had to do was play this game on stream n I would get paid I wouldn't care if the game was trash either lol

They’re going to catch a lawsuit. Not sure about the legality of changing purchase agreements at a later date, while still keeping the original date of 2022 on the site. Not the date when it was updated earlier this week
Basically BSG sold EOD as an ultimate edition you get everything, then let thousands of copies of EOD edition be sold making it worthless instead of having a set number of editions that helped BSG set and accomplish goals to progress the development, now they can’t afford to give EOD owners the new DLC because 90% of the players are EOD owners, BSG needs you to basically re-buy the game for $100 and get the content you should already be getting
Yeah, that's true. Most people own the eod edition. You know what's funny, all they had to do was add cool gun skins and they would get millions and millions of dollars. Which I mean, everyone still paid the 150, they have that money. If they misused that money and can't deliver on the dlc promise, then that's not the players fault that's theirs. I don't play tarkov thankfully, but I have watched a shit ton of it. Sad to see such a cool idea die because of a dumbass company. Literally killed the golden goose, all they needed was gun skins and people would literally throw money at them. Now, people are closing their wallets.
But that's a clear breach of contract under UK laws (which BSG Limited is based in)

I am continually astounded by the remarks of how allegedly expensive this whole PvE mode is. *The base game has already had an "offline" PvE practice raid mode within the base version for ages* , and has been fine. Like... how hard is it to implement a feature where you can invite a friend/party member into an "offline" raid and then maybe just add a little shit to the mode or whatever to make it special?
Logically speaking, it just doesn't make any possible sense how it could be such a ridiculously effortful task to put behind a paywall. Let alone a $250 paywall, yeah gtfoh with that.

Also, everybody understands that continuing to play a game like that is a tacit approval by the player. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You either don't like what they're doing and don't play or you don't mind what they're doing and continue to play.

They also pulled a money scheme when arena came out they gave it to streamers only first week but they said you will get arena first if you bought the game a long time ago meanwhile people who made new accounts and spent 35$ on arena got instant access while people who bought the game 6 years ago had to wait a week

I'm going to call it right now. they are going to do the ultimate rug pull in probably a year maybe less. after they sell the initial influx of the unheard of edition copies (if anyone buys that shit) then they will (finally) release the actual game, resetting everyone, revoking everyone's access to EFT and all subsequent DLC, and recharging for the "full release" (because its in alpha or whatever right now, has been for like 6+ years I believe) and the best part is.... they will charge for the same DLC again...

PVE is too technically expensive.... I find this hard to believe all you need to do is make PVE self hosted so you dont need to spend company server resources
They can't make it self hosted, EVERYTHING goes through their server. Even if you move an item by a single cell in your inventory.
Make it so that PVE is free but you have to rent a server for Co-op PVE, still wouldn't be super ideal but I think that's just the reality of how they designed and established the game. Renting a server for a free game mode would still be better then paying $250 for BS unless they charge an obscene amount to rent a BSG server.

Apex Legends has 200 dollar pay to win gun skins (good iron sights). Basically unlock gun after buying all event cosmetics which is around 200 bucks.

When I bought the EoD edition I noticed that the company had actually done the math wrong on their sale which resulted in some people getting over charged by about $16. I pointed this out on the reddit and all I got in response was a bunch of people trying desperately to find any way to defend the company. That’s how I know the game isn’t going to die because of this. There are plenty of idiots who love this game who are willing to let themselves be scammed.

Say Doordash or Ubereats did something like that. You pay 150$ and there will be no Delivery cost for the rest of your life.
Now years down the line they start to retroactively change that contract and state, well now that we swapped to Electronic Delivery Vehicles, this doesn't apply anymore, they aren't part of "delivering", when they clearly are.
Imagine a Car Company that you pay a set sum for lifetime Tire change starts retroactively infringe on your contract stating sh!t like "No these new things we put on they are only 99% made of Rubber, that 1% is something else so technically this isn't a tire anymore".

Well there’s always Ghosts of Tabor VR made by combat waffles studios. Highly recommend. They are taking notes and VR devs on average have already learned from watching flatscreen game devs mistakes.

I think there is already a game similar to EFT but it's single-player only, actually it's a mod for a mod for a game from 2004, it's called STALKER GAMMA or another mod that tries to imitate EFT called STALKER EFP
The worst case scenario for Tarkov is if the player base continues playing but refuses to pay any money. They still have to pay for the bandwidth but they get nothing in return - and that's where I think they're at. I'm taking a break from it but I'll still play in the future - but they won't get money unless they get their head out of their ass.

Someone tell Asmon that offline PvE with progression WAS in the Tarkov back in the day - they REMOVED PVE after people played offline more than online (beacause of insane cheating)... I bought EOD with PVE mode enabled back in Alpha

Honestly, they could have gotten away with it if they just released PVE as its own standalone title. That way the could keep the EOD edition relevant AND still get $100 bucks extra from those who want to only play PVE without pissing the entire community off.

If the company wanted to push new major content not included in EoD then they would have had an easier time doing a like 15$ a month subscription rather than a superexpensive edition made to just supercede the last "deluxe edition". Easy way to piss off the community. I get that a company needs money and EFT probably has many long-time players that haven't paid in a long time, but this still seems a bit underthought. That's my thought as someone who doesn't play EFT.
An important thing to note about the summon pmc feature they want to add, is it just makes it easier for RMT traders.

I’m not angry about a price of the new edition because they said there will be a new edition after new year more expensive and unheard edition doesn’t include tarkov arena. Till that point I’m ok but for me EOD edition should include all what unheard edition and arena. About that radio device in my opinion it would be a nice add on if also would be possible to get it for free from quest, also It should be a delay like 5 min for friends to rejoin the game and if owner of device dies signal should be lost - it would be nice for teams to save gear after some good pvp - so the winners can loot everything but whoever would be recall shouldn’t be able to help the team to win the fight.
I'm not a tarkov player or a lawyer, but being that a lot of this stuff was promised to players that bought the previous $150 version and then the product page was retroactively changed, does this not open them up to lawsuits? That would class as false advertising, right?
