Peter has really softened with age, genuinely seems like a top bloke.
I was thinking this, old school Dragons Den the dragons were wankers. Mocking people with stutters etc..
Peter Jones really likes when people overcome something... That she was so nervous, yet didn't let that hold her back, he really admired that. This is the second time I'm seeing this after just a week ago or so when he also got clearly affected by someone's story.
It shows strength and resolve. In a way she showed that she is prepared to put herself in a terrifying position to try and make her business work, its a trait for success.

Btw, not being able to overcome something doesn't mean you are weak. The previous example concerned a form of cancer, for example. But I know what you mean.

Totally agree with you. Very good point and something I see with a view investors - they invest in the people first and then in the product/company, fully knowing that the person behind is the true asset long before anything else really develops. I've made an in depth analysis of this pitch on my channel - would be curious what you think.

Yeah I know what you mean, it’s such an effective way of disarming the dragons so you can’t help but question the authenticity.
Everyone is nervous. The ones who don't appear nervous are fakers. That's why nervous looking people do relatively well.
And be female. Crucially. With the nerves.
Considering she was nervous, she did a good job with the pitch and the negotiation. Let's not even talk about the company's numbers and the product. A little more confidence and she will be unstoppable. She is really good!

There are a lot of different ointments, creams, scrubs, and botanicals, and 99% of them don't seem to do anything like it says on their label, so I understand where Deborah's coming from and what she said.

My issue with products like these are along the lines of Deborah. What’s the basis for the big claim. And you’re talking about regulating people’s hormones. Without knowing where someone is at baseline, how do you know how to titrate exactly what someone really needs. It’s a fad. Americans esp loves gimmicky crap. I don’t doubt she will sell a lot for a bit, but idk about it long term. But she seems quite lovely tho! Good luck, Caroline.

Deborah comes to the realization that the product and its claims are unsubstantiated nonsense. If such products truly delivered results supported by rigorous scientific research, why hasn't she ensured her products undergo clinical testing? Her assertion that she conducted online research and found it effective for her is merely anecdotal evidence. She lacks concrete proof that the product was the actual solution for her skin concerns. When investing in a product, consumers deserve assurance that it genuinely works and isn't merely a placebo or snake oil

If you want to devalue your brand and (possibly) even the credibility, especially in the supplement world, then shopping channels is the way to go.
I know Sara raves about shopping channels, but surely she should see how products are perceived on them? They always start high and get knocked down by about 75% or something ridiculous like that, so that immediately devalues the product. Then the presenters rave about it and talk about how amazing it is, but you know this is all scripted and they’re just saying words to sell - this affects the credibility of the brand.
Ultimately, she got the best investment and I hope she does well

Actually Saw Palmetto is great. My wife is taking for PCOS, me for a better exchange of global testosterone to free testosterone and help my SHGB work. But she sells berries not extract, and the purity is completely different.
