    Hey, yeah my '01 FZ1 had like 14,730 when I bought almost 4 years ago and now has 18,700. I guess I really don't ride it that much but when I do I really enjoy it. You are into your FZ1 more than anyone I've seen on video or where I live. Your bike is awesome and you know everything about it and you're hands-on. I'm an older guy so I never know if I should mod it or leave it with just the Ivan's jet kit and Delkevic. Even at my age I've enjoyed taking my bike on some top-end runs - indicated speed is impressive. This video was great and thanks for it.

      Thank's and yw, I would say the bmw rear shock and front fork rebuild are hands down the best mods for safety and handling at little cost, makes the bike much more stable

    To reduce handle bar buzz significantly I use thicker foam grips.
    Johar used to make them but I think you can get them anywhere ; They're very cheap also.

    Nice bike! I've got an 02 with Ivan's jet kit, ported boots, intake and full Yoshi exhaust. I also have a TFT dash display from a guy that was making them in the UK. The bike has almost killed me, but it sure is a hell of a lot of fun!

    On the stock headers, when you delete the exup, do only use the outer cover, and the plate, and keep everything else off?
    Im converned about leaking exhaust out of the exup since the valve is gone.

    • @ccreations123
      @ccreations123  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I left just enough to not leak, I don't remember exactly but I believe that I used a grinder and just took the blocker part out and left the rest for that reason (leaking potential)

    • @westondifranco9313
      @westondifranco9313 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @ccreations123 You removed the backerplate and left just the cover?
      I'm thinking I am going to keep the plate and use the cover.
      I don't think it will leak. If it does I figure out how to keep the exup valve permanently open vs removing it.

      @@jakabmirgai3388 no, but, maxima 5 fork oil, I have a couple ounces left in the 33oz bottle, I don't remember the measurement but you want to over fill just a bit, for 7.5, you could use dexron vi (6) if you wanted heavier oil, the spring cut (soft part of tbe spring) and spacer measurements (spacer is longer to make up for the spring and about a quarter inch extra, doesn't need to be exact) are currently lost atm, but definitely back off spring adjusters after the mod and bring it down easy, you can actually see the adjustment in the video, new guides and seals, the overfilled oil works as a wheelie air cushion for the front end as well

    Does dropping the forks speed up the steering?
    Im thinking dropping increases rake angle, and makes steering faster.

    • @ccreations123
