    I TOTALLY LOVE my 2012 FZ1..!! I am NOT a "Racer" but I have done a few Track Days at Road Atlanta Raceway, and with a PC5 and full Yoshi exhaust, and a few other little 'tweaks', I top out at 175mph on GPS... in full street trim... just some masking tape over lights and mirrors...
    But my JOY is the Blue Ridge Mountains in North GA and NC, and the Dragon's Tail. But I am 71 years 'young' with several Artificial joints, thanks to a stupid cage driver running a stop sign and trying to kill me... So no high-speed wheelies for me, or even 'dragging a knee' (I have almost no hip rotation) but I thoroughly Enjoy Riding, and I 'keep up' with just about any other riders on the mountain roads.
    I enjoyed your video, it sounds just like my bike...whatever exhaust you are running. (I did not get a close look.)

      That's great you're still ripping a liter bike at the track I'm impressed. Also a fan of the fz 1 it's fast enough for street and track not to mention the comfort level . Keep riding guys. 💯

    160 with ecu flash -1,+1. Mine has a full system, pc5, ecu flash and stock gearing. I wonder how much the sproket change took off the top. There's no good place around me to try to top it out

      Ya mine is down 1 in the front and up 1 in the rear with an ecu flash from vcyclenut, so same thing. The acceleration is insane. However top speed isn't as good obviously. Not that anyone needs to be going that fast anyways lol

      I have a 2006 FZ1S and that’s the first thing that I done to it after watching copper dawgs video on it. Yamaha has an upgraded part number for that rotor. Got mine thru Partszilla. Do you run the one less tooth counter sprocket? Or is that stock sprockets and stock rear tire size?

    • @willysendit1328

      No clutch. Just let off the throttle long enough to click up a gear.

      How bad is that for the bike? I usually pick it up in second

    • @MoswenMedia
      @MoswenMedia Před rokem

      @dylanreid7362 They're meant to do it. When I ride 90% of my shifting, including down shifting is done without the clutch and I don't have an auto blipper or quick shifter. Constant mesh trans have all the gears synchronized and spinning at the same time. 6th is synced even when you're in 1st. It's the fastest type of transmission and why you'll see them in crazy high hp drag cars. The reason you don have them in road cars, is since all gears are spinning at the same time, and they use straight cut gears instead of helical gears, the transmissions SCREAM. It's makes the loudest supercharger whine sound like a whisper.

    • @willysendit1328
      @willysendit1328  Před 2 lety +4

      @@DCSF09 believe it or not, the difference was extremely noticeable. With the fz1, the first 3 gears have retarded ignition timing. I'm using that as the engineering term. This means the power is literally restricted from factory. I believe yamaha does this for emissions standards. But once that ecu gets unlocked it unleashes the bike's true potential. Feels wayyyy less restricted and much more free

    • @willysendit1328
      @willysendit1328  Před 2 lety +2

      @@zBakedz yes its called a lowering link. I got mine from soupysperformance. They have a video on their website on exactly how to intall it as well. Its very straight forward. You just need to make sure you adjust the rest of your suspension to match however much you lower it down. If you are already able to tip toe at stock ride height i would honestly recommebd that you dont lower it a great deal as it will affect the performance of the handling and such. From my experience a stock ride height motorcycle handles much better than a lowered one. In my case, I wasnt even capable of touching the ground at stock ride height and now thats its been lowered all the way down I can tip toe haha.

    • @willysendit1328
      @willysendit1328  Před 2 lety +2

      @@zBakedz no problem man. I was in your shoes and i had to do some serious digging to try and find a good lowering link haha. But mine has been great. You just need to lower the front by the same amount that you lower the rear. That way the dynamics of the bike aren't thrown off. There are plenty of videos out there on that too. Its pretty much the same for most bikes I'm pretty sure.
