John Krasinski as Reed will forever hold a special place in my heart
Okay, you never heard this from me, John Krasinski will reprise his role as our main universe Reed Richards. Pedro Pascal is the secretly evil Reed Richards from a parallel Earth, they are playing with the incursions thing..
For anyone mad about this, clearly don’t read comics. Since the Fantastic Four is known for traveling different universes, this would be the perfect way to play around with the psychedelic effects of the 60s and have Galactus be the villain. So in a way, this makes the movie more exciting and ambitious.
What a fantastic Birthday announcement. The Og family is the Og family once again. Disco and partying like we in the 60s!
Galactus is going to eat their earth and they’re gonna end up having to jump through the Multiverse and that’s how they end up in the 616
My thoughts too. Which is why they went with the female Silver Surfer. We will get Norin Radd in 616
I am extremely excited for Fantastic Four. I have wanted a great Fantastic Four film to made for years.
Im calling it, the lady silver surfer is going to die at the end and the OG silver surfer shows up in her place, something along those lines
Lmao
Yo. The lady silver surfer, shalla bal, is norrin rads lover. So he also exists. As a prince
It could be a universal where only Shalla Bai became the Surfer.
Technically I think Deadpool will be the first movie that it’s not set in the main mcu world
Dr Strange casual jump off balcony in mid convo with cape in MoM is such a gem of a scene lol..TRULY BAD AZZ
This actually sounds more closer to the ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR Comics in which that Version of New York feels & Looks more SCIENCE-Based as opposed to the previous FANTASTIC FOUR Films where New York just looks like plain old New York,,but either way i'm really Looking forward to this Movie 😃🤘😃🤘
I'm so pumped for this!!!
So, I haven't kept up on the science stuff related to it, but a lot of things seem to be rolling with time being non-linear especially between alternate timelines/universes/etc, so it would not surprise me if they decided to hop between worlds (which if memory serves traversing the multi-verse is one of their things) or there is some incursion that fuses the two in which their 1960's world is the start and they end up in our 2020's one (and quite possibly laugh at it for being less advanced despite being 60 years further ahead).
This kind of hyped me up lol!
Very interesting!!
We need the phase’s new big bad to destroy this universe by the end of the movie
In my Simpsons comic book guy voice … “Technically the Venom movies started in a different universe and (briefly) ended up in the 616”
Technically MoM didn’t start in 616
that would be interesting if this is actually a one shot movie/franchise off in its own universe a la joker style, that marvel could just experiment with and have it be that cool retro style, then we still get a whole separate team in current day 616 MCU
Mahershala Ali be like, Feige introduced Blade & F4 at the same San Diego Comic-Con and they'll start filming their movie and can't even get my movie out of the writers/director's room with all the changes.
I'm thinking along the same vein.
They really didn't have a plan for Blade until Mahershala called and asked for the role.
I think Loki with all his loom shenanigans will cause destruction of the Mutans universe (X-men) and the F4 universe. That's how these characters somehow will end up in Earth-616. I really hope they do it sooner than in Avengers 5. I hope F4 come into our universe through the post-credit scene of their movie. I don't want sub-plots in Avengers 5. I want it like Infinity war: Pure freaking Action sequences!!!!!
This will be the universe of the most brilliant Reed Richards, the first man across the timestream to crack time travel (1960s). Which makes it great universe for King to arrive.
I like all of the multiverse stuff. If done right, it’s like playing multi level chess pieces. Only those with slow minds and simple viewpoints tend to be the ones that dislike good stories especially those that involve the multiverse.
Yeah exactly. Multiverse is quite exciting. Just that Marvel completely messed it up
@@funkysam1345 I wouldn't say just Marvel, don't count Sony out.
They need to do a post credits where they find the crashed silver surfboard of you know who and another Fury who looks like the 60s comics one shows up and then the agent says, We found it. Some new demigod will be looking for it.
So what was it revealed to be?
I think the Fox universe (X-Men,Deadpool,FF) is an actual thing separate from the MCU, and Deadpool will fully obliterate that branch timeline, and they'll start to fall into the main story. It could explain why Beast is CGI, the changes to Reed Richard, and why Deadpool is around.
Yeah, I wasn't on board with Rob's theory in the first place. Regardless how you feel about phase 4, all those movies since No Way Home are still 100% set in Earth - 616. All those movies mentioned and referenced the events that transpired during the infinity saga so it's still a continuation of that story.
As a Ninja Turtles fan however, I'm no stranger to the fact that the multiverse can also have a bunch of dimensions that are identical to one another. Spin-off universes if you will. Hence, how you sometimes have different variations of the 1980s Ninja Turtles cartoons like the Saturday morning cartoon, Turtles Forever, or the Archie comics taking on different continuities despite their wolrds looking alike. This also applies to other iterations of the characters too like the 2003 and 2012 shows.
In Marvel's case, there's What If, Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. All these are identical spin-off realities to the main MCU. They're identical to the movies but with some key differences that set them apart. The more you know.
Will The Thing replace the Hulk as Marvel muscle since they have punked the Hulk really bad?
Hope they really run with the sixties feel. Love this idea
Also bring back James Gunn for Squirrel Girl.
If American Chavez was supposed to be in Spideman, She probably going to hop to different universes and bring each individual spiderman instead of Ned.
We do not even know the full concept of this movie & ppl are already looking the other way. I have more faith in Marvel New X-MEN & FF than what Fox gave us for years. Excluding Logan, First Class, Days of future past, and X2
I really love Pedro Pascal but I'm very skeptical of him playing Reed Richards. I just don't see it yet. I hope the first trailer we get changes my mind.
The most overhyped actor in Hollywood is him
@@LanceG007 lol not even close. He's a great actor - he's just doesn't strike me as Reed Richards.
@@ryhanon7 The movie will fail if they screw up Galactus again. Galactus needs the best CGI possible. He is one of the most iconic comic book villains. Marvel has been doing poorly with CGI decisions latley. Galactus cannot look like a cheap character he needs to be a terrifying world eater for people.
@@ryhanon7 he’s a great supporting actor
People act like he’s a great lead but he’s done nothing to prove that which is why he’s overrated
@@LanceG007 Mando, Last of Us yeah he's done nothing to prove he could be a lead.😂
Perhaps the only way to properly correct the ship is to execute that theory - that eternals, moon knight, and all these projects actually happened in other universes - and secret wars brought them all together in 616 MCU. That way, they can improve on the characters, the writing, fine tune the humour and streamline the MCU again...this is a good way to keep the good, and cut out the bad - and bring back the Russos, and the writing duo of markus and McFeely. They did gold with Avengers 3 and 4
I agree but they don't have to create another universe to develop characters.
@@Dru2037 true. They didn't need to do that. It's just that we saw the writing wasn't great for some projects - wasn't that well received by audiences as a whole - perhaps by actualizing this theory, marvel can right certain aspects... 🙏🏻
This movies gonna be an instant classic no matter what they do with it, the Fox films will pale in comparison..
6:30 I came across that theory from a commenter on Reddit. The issue is that there were no Easter eggs in the movies to hint at it. If there had been, I would have been fully on board.
WHATS UP JOHN!
Maybe they accidentally travel to a different 1960 universe after get hit by a cosmic ray
Is Kris still working for the show. Haven't seen her on in awhile
Since they moved back to the home studio, it's a very long trip for her.
I thought Moonknight was in a separate universe
It isn't, but it look like it.
@@monicadelgado5296 how is it then?
@@chrisaleman5367 there is not that many references.
There's mentions of madripoor and the ancestral plane from black panther and grc signs from falcon and the Winter soldier
It was set a couple of years in the future but same universe.
If it's set in another universe, than maybe we can actually get the comics accurate norrin radd surfer
That’s litterally what we’ve been saying was likely gonna happen
Nobody cares about Silver Surfer
The FF will end the movie in the 616 via incursion
John anyway anyway anyway Campea
My honest reaction is just….we’ll see i guess
Exactly. In the meantime we can all look forward to Snow White.
This kinda hurt my excitement for the movie ngl
May I ask why?
I still haven’t watched eternals. I think that’s a good theory too
KALKI 2898 released today
How is it???
@@funkysam1345 Go watch it at a theatre
It's worth the money
I disagree with the casting
Many of us do.
Maybe if Pedro was a bit younger. Because this might be a 10 year or more playing the character.
7:36 this exchange angered me so much haha
*199999
I have a theory that at the end of the movie the Fantastic Four will end up at the void, the end of time. There, they may even see Deadpool and Wolverine..
I would even say that an end credit scene in Deadpool and Wolverine we would see a ship crash, and we see Deadpool and Wolverine with a surprising look, and it's the Fantastic Four...
Doubtful, they'll probably see Photon and try to help her get back home.
I’m excited for this movie but what’s not making sense to me is the release Date of July 25th 2025. Superman Started shooting end of February so almost 17 months of Shooting and post production to come out on July 11th. But F4 is Filming End of July And only having 12 months of Shooting and Post production + reshoots ?
Unfortunately marvel has a history of treating their visual effects artists badly so they might not even delay it
There's a key technological difference at last check, which is that Warner Discovery (or whatever Warner will be in 6-12 months with how often it's bought and sold) doesn't have it's own version of 'the volume' - which Disney has used a lot since Mandalorian, in which a chunk of the visual effects that would have been done in post production for backgrounds and all is now done in pre-production so that the actors walk in to the set and the digital background is up on the screens to be filmed and move as they move - in some ways almost like a very early proto-holodeck. Meaning that with all this time it's been in Pre-Production they can save time on post and so their filming and post production time needed is lower.
The whole 'not paying their digital VFX guys and making them work tight deadlines is a thing too, but it's actually more an industry wide issue both there and effectively within gaming, Disney just happens to be one of the worst offenders at last check.
@@anthony7697 dang and I did hear some people mention the Volume isn’t good or doesn’t look good. So what would even be the point, I think having on location and set pieces would look better for this different world retro thing they want to do
@@nysimcharles33 The volume isn't used by itself, at least not all the time - if you watch the season 1 behind the scenes for Mandalorian you'll see some of the shots they used it for in which there are practical elements say in the foreground or as part of it - such as one of the scenes with Mando's ship where a portion of it is actually built, and in which the finished product is actually quite good, normally I have no trouble spotting CGI but a few scenes I thought were physical sets or location shots were in fact hybrid shots using some physical set pieces in conjunction with the volume. I believe some shots may have even been filmed on a location (in pre-production) and then put up on it's screens instead of added in in post from a green screen. If you can - watch the opening of Episode 2 of season 1 of 'Mandalorian' before the title card, and the scene after - because I know for fact those two scenes use the volume and you can judge yourself how good or bad you think it is.
However - it is still a tool. Instead of the green screen and add it in post or a strictly matte painting like the old days (which you'd get in the 60's or what Lucas shot in scenes with the OT) the LED screen that covers 270 degrees projects an image - either pre-taped or CGI created - that can move with the actors essentially combining the older green screen and matte methods in to one. If the CGI is still poor - yeah, it'll still look bad, if it's over used and not used well, it can still look bad, same as if a practical set is not done well or has issues which yes, does occasionally happen.
The Volume can look as good as CG, location sets, matte paintings combined with built sets, etc at least on par with how they look in modern times as effects have advanced, but it's a question at the end of 'did they put the time, money, and care in to the effects'? Which is part of why (aside from use of hybrid VFX) Ironman 1 looks better than Ironman 3 or any of his Age of Ultron on appearances because they weren't given the time or money to make things look good.
Exactly??? I think they're gonna postpone it to November release
It's okay that F4 will set in separate universe. Just announce what is canon and no. There's no exact answers about the Netflix Marvel series if it's canon or not. Waiting for F4
Hey. U know that it's not the MCU anymore. It's the MCM. Marvel cinematic multiverse. So it's canon. It takes place in a universe which is a part of the multiverse that Marvel studios has established. So it's canon
@@funkysam1345 never mentioned, never assumed. Only the MCU from Disney is the canon ones. Madame Web isn't canon though. Morbius as well. All those sony horrible Marvel movies
@@niceusername8090the Sony ones have crossed over with the MCU tho
Would love to have Ray more involved in the conversations! Second video I have seen lately where he isn't!!
Ray isn't a movie pundit. He's our graphics and post-production guy.
@@johncampea but he is a fan of these movies ryt? We could at least allow him to express his thoughts
@@funkysam1345 maybe he didn't have an opinion on this.
Fantastic Four can go into production, but not Blade!? Amazing!
They actually have a script
So they played or watched Fallout and liked the idea of retro-futurism.
I don't mind...
does Moon Knight take place different universe ??
No. It’s a stupid theory that’s been debunked
No, there was a small Endgame easter egg in Moon Knight.
I'm fine with Fantastic Four taking place in an alternate reality but I wish that alternate reality took place during the present day. You can still have the retro-futuristic 1960's aesthetics but with an updated twist. However, I think F4 being a period piece in an alternate universe can offer a unique and fresh take the MCU needs.
Meh. I'm fine either way.
@@manuelalbertoromero9528 You don't sound very excited about it.
They don't need the 60's aesthetics
@@Dru2037 But the film take place during the 60's.
First of all, how is Fantastic 4 shooting before Blade? Didn't they just announce the cast not too long ago? And they already shooting this year? And secondly, this Fantastic 4 movie has too much going on with it. Its set in a futuristic 1960s thats a part of a different universe. What was the point of setting it in the 60s if its gonna be futuristic? Why set it in the multiverse if its already set in the 60s? I'm already not a fan of the movie being a period piece or being in the multiverse. And now we have some kinda weird mix of the 2. We need them now and interacting with the characters we have in present day. We have no one who can lead the mcu right now and I think the Fantastic 4 have the potential to fill that role. Well if done right and not woked up.
It's fair to say the Multiverse has been a failure of a concept in the MCU. It removed all the stakes that kept the MCU thriving and on the edge of our seats.
Disagree, but to each their own.
@@tedrohe9048 You don't have to agree. The proof is in the declining box office and lack of interest
The failure was the execution of the concept.
@@thespitefulartist there's no lack of interest.
@@Dru2037 You're crazy if you think the MCU isn't in a downturn when you have their own CEO admitting faults that lead in the decline of interest
Im waiting for Deadpool and Wolverine 💥 anything after that.. the other movies coming out for the MCU is not exciting..
how can read be the smartest man if he's been missing for 50 years of technological advancement... hope they don't have this up again
lol nevermind alt universe
This actually gets me excited about a movie I didn't want to see at all
I’m not really a huge fan of this, because it inevitably makes me as the question “Why?” What exactly is the purpose of setting this movie in an alternate universe?
Set up for Secret Wars which should be about a multiversal conflict.
Without seeing the movie, can't stand the johnny storm casting. But I will go in with an open mind when I see it.
You can stand Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards and not Joe Quinn ?????
@@Evan.Arapis Pedro Pascal is a top quality actor with range so I can see him in the role..not my first choice but I can see it. I haven't seen anything from Joe Quinn yet to see him as Johnny storm and I don't think he strikes that vibe that say someone like Chris Evans did. Michael b Jordan too.
This is the last straw for a Fantastic Four movie. They really need to nail this and appeal to a modern audience. I'm just not sure the team is interesting/likable enough...the struggling comic sales have already spoken on that matter. That team concept is a bit dated. They need to write the hell out of this movie.
@@The_ConenGifre he never heard of the Avengers or the X-Men.😅
Hopefully 616 gets 86’d in the incursions then reset in new universe
This was the selling point of Hickman Secret Wars, and nothing changed after it in the comics.
Ugh can we just not have “the multiverse” be every single explanation for everything with Marvel?
Well, the current saga is called the Multiverse Saga, so what exactly are you expecting.
I agree. The multiverse is the reason why people are losing interest in Marvel. It was a lot better/more fun when it was a little more grounded and they couldn't just do whatever the hell they wanted and use the multiverse as a scapegoat for everything. It makes sense for the Fantastic 4, but I hope they start moving away from the multiverse stuff.
@@djdmac2417 no it's because the multiverse hasn't been handled well by Marvel well at all. My criticism isn't too much multiverse. It's not enough multiverse at all
@@nikunjdixit1175 I was actually expecting it to be the plot, not the exposition.
@@brad207 I am not sure how it is exposition. In order to have Avengers movie which deals with the multiverse, there need to be characters and people that the audience knows and cares for in other universes as well. FF is one of them.
They never should of made any Marvel shows
Lolol
They should have started phase 4 with a movie. Bcoz that draws a lot of audience and creates the buzz around a new Marvel movie. And then in that introduce a character that gets their own disney plus show
@@The_ConenGifre Loki too.
There is nothing encouraging about this. More multiverse, alternate past nonsense that doesn't tell us good stories. Make a good Fantastic Four movie!
If you ask me Kevin shit the bed with this announcement. Too convoluted.

@JOEYFMISFIT What??? How Is That Lame? That's The Smartest Decision They Could've And It Makes It Different.
