Sig ❤️ big beavers 🤓👍🏻 Now that’s the grip module I’ve always wanted. Thanks for sharing. I had been looking for the Sig module in FDE but this is even better. Ordered ✔️
+1776 or Bust I just picked one up for my Sig M17 and what a difference. I’ve been looking for one since February but were sold out everywhere. Finally the guys at Osage County Guns got them in stock so I got one right away. Video coming soon. Thanks for the intro to this grip module. I didn’t know they existed until I saw your video.
1776, good overview video, thank you for that. 👍 I really like that grip module. I'll have to see if it comes in OD Green, because I think that would look very sharp.
I picked up the Wilson Combat grip for my M18. Honestly blown away by how much better I shoot with it. It only seems slightly more comfortable, but I am shooting far tighter groups with this vs the stock grip.
Awesome review sir! I think it’s great that you bring attention to the modularity of the p320 as that’s where it shines. The grip being one of the most important factors in connecting a person to their firearm, it’s good to see and compare the options out there. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the thumb relief that Wilson did as compared to the sig grip. Again, solid review!
That was a slight. Overlook on my part However, what a grip the handgun. It doesn't seem to make that significant of a difference because I tend to ride that shelf with my thumb.
You forgot to mention the tungsten rods you can insert into the grip. If people stop the vid while he has the camera pointing down the magazine well, you can see 3 slots running down the backstrap. This is where the weights are inserted, you can go with one or all three depending on how much added weight you want. Personally, I'm going with all three to help reduce the recoil and get it as close to a metal frame gun as possible.
Got mine last week for my coyote X Carry. I stopped using my stock 17 rd module for a X Compact module which really fit me a whole lot better even though I hve large hands. Now that I hve the Wilson, I can happily use my 17 round mags again, I love it. They hit a home run with their module!
Wait, so you went from xcompact to the WC grip? How did you like those two because those are the ones I'm narrowed for my edc builds. Second question, do you think they could be easily notched for MS?
@@ryanvalencia1027 x carry slide on a x compact grip frame is tops for carry. really I found that I like the wc grip for range, steel challenge or other gun games.
Took mine to the range yesterday. I had a compact 9mm and full size 40 that I changed out on the Wilson Combat module and I must say it felt great in my hands. The 9mm was great with follow up shots. I was able to have more control with the recoil and keep the sights on the target. The only con is I have the Gen1 and the ears on the base plate wouldn't allow the mags to go in all the way so I filed some material off the magwelll and the base plate. Love the grip module. Thanks Wilson Combat.
Also live in Arkansas and love my X9S and X9. Also have the SIg P229 Legion and SIg 226R Elite. But the WC treatment on the 320 looks great. Not a striker fire fan, but this interests me.
I bought the M18 and really didn’t enjoy the grip. Was about to sell or trade it when I found the WC grip. Got it and tried it out and it totally changed the gun for the better. Well worth the $75 shipped I paid for it!
I have an X-Carry and was looking at the Polymer 80 p320 grip modules. I ended up finding your Review. I think for slightly more money the Wilson Combat module looks better and better engineered.
Its an X module meant for comp, so it will have an extended beaver tail, the standard grips don't have large beaver tails. if you look inside it also has the option to add the Weight for Competition. They do make X like models without large Beaver tails. both have a bevelled magwell, Wilson added a flair out doesn't add anything but more plastic. Ergonomics are to the individual. I suggest going to a local store and getting a hand on either before you buy. to each their own, both are very nice. Poly 80 also has a grip module that many like. decent review.
I'd like to shoot one under a timer. The original P320 frame has always felt better but I shoot the X series grip better. Wilson does look like they nailed the texturing though.
Interesting! Very nice review. It looks like the mould line on the Sig module is very notable, but not on the Wilson. Wilson does turn out great products.
Thanks..I have the 320c..love the gun but it didn't just quite fit my hand ..I asked my wife for this grip in tan for Christmas..yours looks bad ass..just picked up a hundred extra rounds for post Christmas testing lol
I love mine, cant wait to put some rounds through it.....Wilson combat rep also told me that they will have grip weights available for the module in the near future
Update lol.. I bought it right after this comment and honestly it was well worth it. Literally feels amazing for people with larger hands. Only thing I dislike is the "FDE" they used... kinda ugly not gonna lie.
Hell yeah I like it!!! That’s awesome. As I was watching this video I went to WC website to order one but they are out of stock. Damn it! I am definitely buying one though as soon as possible. Great video. Thank you
The Xcarry grip module in small approximates the Wilson grip. I also did not like the ergonomics of the medium grip. The small version fixes that completely. It is also a bit less expensive than the WC grip. Great video I still may get one of these as I enjoy swapping and testing.
Thanks for the info. I’ve been waiting for the X Carry smalls to be back in stock since I like the X Compact grip size except I have the old base plates for my 15 rounders and can’t use them
If ur talking bout ur mags not working cuz they have the old "round hole" base plates on em, u can easily modify em to work in both the orig grip & x carry grip mods. The tabs on each side of the base plate that go into the recessed part of the orig grip is the only thing that keeps u from being able to use the old mags in the x carry. I just bought a new mag with "square hole" base plate & compared it side by side to my old mags & they're identicle except the tabs on the new one have an angle on em so they'll fit in both grip mods, opposed to just being straight like the old ones. U can shave a lil bit off the tabs on ur old mags & theyll work just fine. Google some pics of the new base plates & ull see what I mean. It's a very easy fix instead of buying all new base plates
Maybe I'm the only one, but I think the original p320 grip module is much better than the square XCarry frames. Haven't tried the Wilson Combat one yet. Thanks for the review.
All a matter of personal likes. I have small hands and can handle Sub-Compacts to most Full size grips. However I don't like it if my thumb can't hit the mag. release without shifting my grip.
I agree that its better to have choices but I can honestly say I wouldn't change a thing with my x carry, the grip is perfect, the texturing is perfect. To me it looks like aesthetic changes, why spend the money. Just my opinion😄
I can't decide between the Wilson combat or Polymer 80's Grip module. I love the look of the P80s better but I hear alot more comments about the wilson combat one being amazing.
I have been looking at these modules and the only thing I would change is the sun burst pattern on the side. It’s a little Japan rising sun in WW2 to me.
I shot with the Wilson combat grip for some time and I found that the texture was too aggressive for my liking. I ended buying a Grayguns Xcarry grip and personally like the GG xc better then the wc
Nice comparison! I like the magwell on the Wilson Combat. Great that aftermarket companies are taking advantage of the P320 series of pistols. One question: Is there a slot inside to put the weight inside the grip module like the Sig module, couldn't see in your video.👍👍👍
Love it. My only concern is holster fit. I just ordered a Sig M17 and would like a black grip module from Wilson. But will it still fit in M320 holsters?
What weapon lights have you attached to the original xcarry frame? I heard the x300 still fits even though there are only 3 rail slots but since there is room between the rail and trigger guard it still locks up. Have you tried one by chance?
Great video as always. I’m about to go order one of these . One question tho, is the more rounded trigger guard gonna cause retention problems in holsters that use the trigger guard to engage? Thanks man
The only thing I can see on the WC grip is that the beaver tail in the rear is lower than the Sig grip.. You get a higher hold with the Sig grip than the WC grip...I don't like that but I think the WC grip is nice looking but I would have to try it before I'd purchase it...I have the X5 and the X compact and like the grips better than the stock Sig grips.
I'm not sure that it really is lower as a curves up more as opposed to going straight out the best way I can describe it is that it feels very similar to a CZ 75 grip
Your video doesn't show it clearly because it moves to quickly but it sure looks like the bottom of the WC beaver tail is farther from the bottom of the slide than the Sig grip which would make the Sig grip a higher hold...Of coarse you have both grips and can compare them together...
Good video but not a Sig fan. Triggers are iffy to me. Mags are expensive and there are many other guns on the market that I like better. But again, 17, another good vid. Thanks.
Great interesting video! I can tell you like the FDE color module of the Wilson Combat. I went to their website to check out the modules for the X Carry, very nice Black module I like. But none for the X Compact that I seen available that I currently own.
It looks like the WC grip is narrower as well? I bought a small x-carry grip module for my P320 and the beavertail and the grip still feel a little big. I don't like how the beavertail on the x-carry is so thick as you pointed out. I have small stubby thumbs and find it a little hard to get my right thumb around the grip. Wondering if this is the ticket?
It is actually much thinner I didn't measure it but it definitely feels it I've said prior that it feels as close to a CZ 75 is you're going to get the reminds me a lot of my Phantom
Eh. The Wilson name has never meant much to me personally, because up until this, EVERYTHING that they do pretty much is to expensive for me, even being a guy that wants to get a hammer fired gun too. It does look good, but it also looks a hell of a lot like the original P320 grip design. That would be an interesting comparison.
The x carry and x full size do feel good but man they are chonky, totally agree with you there. The beavertail is also so high up and huge, I almost never ride it as securely as some other guns I have like the Steyr M9 (my hand is just sucked into that frame) Still, the X compact is the best grip module for any 320, these wilson combat ones just look very third-party and kind of ugly Like youre putting a tapco stock on an SKS kind of third-party feel
Honestly, it's hard to compare the ergonomics oft the Steyr with anything else because they are just so damn good. However, this grip module gives you that much more ergonomic to an already good hand gun.
The beavertail on the Wilson frame looks considerably lower down on the frame than the original Sig frame?? Hard to see because you are picturing the Sig frame without its slide attached - but sure looks like much less distance between the top of the tail and the slide on the Sig frame, which would result in a higher grip, which would benefit recoil control.
Carpe Diem I agree. The WC frame beaver tail is more like the standard 320 frame where the new x frames where designed to get a higher grip. They don’t dig into my hand either so having slightly angle up is just for comfort under recoil and doesn’t reduce flip as much.
I have the gen1 p320 and the ears on the base plate stick out too much. I had to file some off on the inside of the mag well and some off the base plate. All is good now.
