  • Hey guys, in this video, I'm going to be sharing with you some tips on how to stop flipping the club at impact. Flipping the club can lead to inconsistent shots, loss of distance, and accuracy issues. It's a common problem that many golfers face, but with the right technique, it's something that can be corrected.

    Love my BenQ LK936ST. It's great to be able to keep the lights on and bright while teaching and still see the screen bright and clear.

    Thank you for this explanation. I’m rebuilding my DIY golfsim and this will help a lot.

    Looks sweet! Also have all the lighting options within GSpro to tweak to your liking. I like blue skies and find changing tint and time of day impact the sky quite a bit.

      Yea I gotta get into those more as well, but so far so good, liking the setup so far though it's been great!

    Thanks for letting people know about using a custom resolution. Can’t explain how many times people are changing the aspect ratio in projector settings and ruining the image. We cover this once to twice a month in the forums with a new member.

      I've made that mistake in the past for sure, projectors are definitely not my thing so glad I could help out as much as possible from my mistakes.

    build out to start soon. locked in for 936 projector. video very informative, thank you. I have the distance to screen. 2 questions. 1. I will have a sloped ceiling that will be 2" rise over 12" run. can you recommend a swivel top bracket / mount that allows for the ceiling slope so I can get a vertical bracket? 2. Ceiling will be 9'8" at projector site. how far down from ceiling do you recommend the 936 st be? thank you

    • @scotthogangolf
      @scotthogangolf  Před 3 měsíci

      Glad the video helped, as far as brackets, I'd probably get one that is very short since your ceiling isn't super high, I wouldn't want it interfering with the golfers swings. I'm honestly not sure about the sloped ceiling, but I know most brackets do have a swivel to them, you might want to order from somewhere like amazon that has a good return policy so you can return and try a few if necessary.

    thanks for the video! i have a 9x12 screen with the same BENQ 936ST projector. I'm about to mount the projector but trying to decide which aspect ratio to go with (custom 16:9 or 4:3). Is there a difference? i noticed that the calculator says to mount it much closer when choosing 16:9. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    • @scotthogangolf
      @scotthogangolf  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Is wouldn't change the aspect ratio, leave it as 16:9, find the distance where you can fill the screen top to bottom then you can create a custom resolution for the horizontal to make it fit that way. Adjusting aspect ratio makes the image quality go down.

    I just upgraded to the LK936. My nvidia RTI 4090 graphics card has 1 hdmi and 3 display ports. How did you wire your 3 monitors?

    • @scotthogangolf
      @scotthogangolf  Před 4 měsíci

      My monitors have a display port as well, so I went display port for those, hdmi for the projector. There are cables I'm sure that can adapt things if needed

  • @TheEugenelee13
    @TheEugenelee13 Před 5 měsíci

    Great! So I’m using a wireless hdmi transmitter from my laptop to the projector. I can’t seem to be able to do custom resolutions using that transmitter. Does that make sense?

    • @scotthogangolf
      @scotthogangolf  Před 5 měsíci

      That does seem weird but I've never done a wireless transmitter to be honest. Have you googled to see if anyone has any answers? I'm genuinely curious.

    • @TheEugenelee13
      @TheEugenelee13 Před 5 měsíci

      @@scotthogangolf so i figured it out. The wireless transmitter becomes the device that nvidia is trying to change custom resolution. You need to connect directly to the projector. Now that I have connected directly, I can change directly. Now I’ve been struggling with how to deal with the fact my projector is 4k and my laptop is not. Any thoughts? I don’t want to have 2 separate screens, I just want to duplicate screens.

  • @dennisho6426
    @dennisho6426 Před rokem

    Stupid question…. I’m in the early stages of setting my garage up. Do I need a gaming PC AND projector? Or can I get by with just the projector? It seems like the projector is just a monitor or does it have compute in there as well?

    • @scotthogangolf
      @scotthogangolf  Před rokem

      You would need a PC to run the software, but you could in theory just hook the projector up to it and use that as your monitor as well. That's why I built my own PC because it was much cheaper and as things have upgraded I"ve been able to make the upgrades myself and save money. Your correct though that the projector is just another monitor for the PC.

  • @VoodooZ
    @VoodooZ Před rokem +1

    You'll need to upgrade your screen bro.. HQ screen will act more like proper projection screen and increase reflectivity and enhance the increase pixel density.. I got a entry-level one which has little micro pores so 4K makes no sense for me.. Plus the weird 9.5x7.5 screen size is very limiting with it's odd ratio. I don't want black bars so I had to downscale down anyways. fyi, I think having a better graphic engine would do more for realism than merely increasing pixel count... so be prepared for your rig to get murdered at 4k with new E6 engine!

  • @eigore19
    @eigore19 Před rokem

    What is the max refresh rate of that projector? May need to upgrade your GPU but if you can run that on 120 or even 90fps you would probably notice a big difference.

    • @scotthogangolf
      @scotthogangolf  Před rokem +1

      I have it set at 60 which is fine for me since I do video with it and I want the frame rates to match. But the video doesn’t do it justice to how good it looks in person. It looks awesome.

      @@scotthogangolf it has a portrait mode where it can be flipped on its side.. the book says its 360 degree mounting without causing damage to the unit.. im not sure how the image is corrected for it.. maybe rotated in the computer but physically it can be mounted sideways
