    In the mid 90's my life was falling apart due to drugs and mental issues.........I had served in the US Army as a young man............I had thought about joining the FFL, but this was before I had ever been on the internet and due to lack of information I never made a go at it....I turned my life around and joined the USAF Reserves in 2000 and retired in 2017 with a 20 year reserve pension....I am very blessed, but still think and wonder what it would have been like to go in the FFL.....

    One smart KIWI in the FFL man, although I'm originally from the SADF then became a KIWI after being in Palmerston North for ten years, you make any KIWI proud! ! ! Well DONE!

    There is a man in the NZ Territorials who I serve with,and he's ex-legion.He was a guy by the name of CPL.Trembath.He is probably the fittest guy I have ever heard off.

      Trem is a good friend of mine and one hard bastard.
      He was 2 REP and joined when he was 30 something, that is hard has hell. I joined when I was 22 because I had to finish my military service at home.
      Trem is one great guy!

    I'm Irish and I just have been discharged from the british army over medical grounds.
    Its all down to what a person wants out of life. There is a saying in the army " I want a good life, not an easy life". I believe in that, its the lifestyle that attracts people not the money. I'm thinking of joining the FFL now, just blag my way about my medical discharge.

    I joined the RAF Regiment instead of the FFLegion, and the Legion has nothing but utmost respect for me and my colleagues, as I have of the Legion...

    Actually that was in the past, nowadays the legion knows what you've done and you'll get in as long as what you may have done was minor

    interesting report of foreigner point of view about the FFL
    I point of you also that all legionaries obtain at the end of their first 5 year old contract the French nationality and become French citizens of the French Republic like all others french citizens

  • @JCLeSinge
    @JCLeSinge Před 15 lety

    From what I've read, you have to be in the Legion for 15 years before you're eligible to be an officer anyway, so its a moot point. Be realistic; how quick do you think you're gonna be a general?

    • @FrLawRE
      @FrLawRE Před 5 lety +1

      oJKBo - you say the whole uniform is still pretty lame. Does it really matter what the uniform looks like if the guy wearing it is an elite soldier?
