    Marie is a tough taskmaster; she keeps pressing her team to lower their scores: "There is nothing you would change? Everything was perfect ... interesting." I voted for team Stephanie. I would rather eat in a room with ambience of a lighted tree and a fireplace. Over in the USA, it’s typically cold in restaurants, I always bring a sweater. So I thought the comment of the room being cold and too much food was being picky. Haha.

    Great competition. Philip I love your sense of humor, Stephanie you are so gracious and such a lady, Selmar you are just amazing, Nati you are a great organizer and so enthusiastic, Marie you show confidence in whatever you undertake and you are funny and Mandy you are poised and pleasant. Hope you all had great fun and only have fond memories of this event. It's easy to let resentment and comments ruin something that was meant to bring fun and enjoyment for all. Team Lalande thank you for opening up part of your lives and personalities with us. With that comes great praise at times and sometimes not so pleasant opinions at other times. I think you all did fantastic. I'm very competitive by nature. If someone judged me solely in a moment of a fierce game of musical chair, well I'm afraid they would think I'm a shark!!! 😂🤣😂 I like the idea of winning while I'm playing ( I mean you play to win right😂), but the moment the game is over I could care less who won or lost. It was just all about the fun. Blessings from Canada

      That's why I never watch those kind of shows. I hate the cutthroat competition that they promote. I used to watch food channels, but when it became all about beating each other at all costs, I stopped. I was just plain upset by the end, and really disappointed in certain people. For me, it was team Otter for the food AND the graciousness. Was the Lala food good? Certainly. But it all left a bitter aftertaste.
      Also, why is the middle episode, of the Otters cooking, missing. I had watched it some months ago, but it disappeared.

    • @mparker6823
      @mparker6823 Před 3 lety +23

      @ Nancy LaPonzina that is very harsh. "These WorkAways" as you put it, ARE LaLande. Without Team LaLande, what on earth do you think you'd even be watching on the vlogs? There would be no Chateau Diaries because there would be no LaLande. And often there's more to the story then we see, because as Natie just pointed out in the above comment, she was the one who found and purchased the candlesticks at the charity shop, so if you were going to stick with your original accusation that they should not be taking other's private property, then Phillip would be the one who took Natie's property for use in The Otters dinner. Obviously LaLande have a communial way of life and share most things communially, so he didn't illicitly take anything. I am a very gentle and mild person, but I realize that it's time we all started respectfully pointing out to each other what Trolling actually is and when others have engaged in it, and your comments fall under the category of Trolling. I respectfully urge you to think before writing.

    It was nice to get the results. However, I did not like Marie's attitude when they started to judge, the way she talked and act it was like she was trying to influence the others ; she is a all sweet person when talking but .... but she has a side that we dont know much of but she did give a glimpse of it in this episode . Also it is not because one does not like an ingredient in a dish that the dish is not good. For example : if I dont like chocolate cake and i am serve one piece, of course it makes ie harder to judge, but.. it is not the fault of the cook if I am not a lover of chocolate. Therefore, if I want to be fair as a judge, I will give point for the presentation of the plate, the decor of the cake, the texture, etc. I sure will not take off points because i dont enjoy chocolate. I am glad that Mandy was nice and she was pointing to the others really positive things. I think a big winner is us - the viewers as we got to discover a little bit of the personality of the participants, a side that we did not know. Of course, Stephanie and Philippe you guys were fantastic taking the remarks and comments in with a smile !

      Actually they all know each other's tastes -- remember all the jokes about Philips allergies, and raisins are a hot topic in their daily cooking too. So to make a dish with raisins when you know the diners have an aversion is not good strategy. In the actual game, hosts were given points for cooking to consider the guests' quirks and allergies.

I think most of it is tongue in cheek, and they’re all just having fun with each other. The fact that some judged a little harsher made it really fun! They’re all such close friends, and it’s fun to take little innocent jabs once in a while. All of the scores, overall, were really very good! I don’t think anyone should be looked differently from the way they scored their friends’ meals. Don’t make them regret trying something different and putting themselves out there. Luckily I am one of the few in my group of friends that likes to entertain especially since I have a place and table big enough to fit them all so they are just happy to be invited and partake. Let us not forget in the end the best part of an evening out is also the company of friends and the wonderful conversations that should ensue (a tango or waltz isn't too shabby either). That said both meals looked like Michelin grade dinners, both had beautiful ambience and presentations. I would have been grateful to have been at either meal. Really enjoyed the cook off! Love how competitive you all were but clearly it was all in good fun 😂 well done La La Ladies!

    Mandy is the most adorable girl. I love seconds and sometimes thirds as well.

    All of the come dine with me videos were so much fun, thank you!! Being a very competitive person myself, I quite enjoyed watching the healthy amount of competition :)

    At the end of the day if they are all still laughing & talking at the end than that is all that matters, they obviously enjoyed themselves & want to carry on with the competition so there is no hard feelings amongst them which is as it should be so I don’t think there is any need for negativity in the comments. I think some people forget how well they all know each other as they live together 24/7 , Stephanie & the others have always said that Marie would be the harshest critic because they know her personality, unlike us we only see little snippets of each person in each vlog. I have totally enjoyed watching the vlogs & look forward to seeing more.
