E90/E91 Coilover Installation - The "other" Touring gets lowered

- In this video I show you how I lowered my E91 Touring, by installing a AP Sport Fahrwerk Coilover system.
Remember to always use proper tools and proper safety measures. Torque all bolts to spec, and with suspension components, always torque them with the suspension loaded.
Torque Specs:
Front Tension Strut to Knuckle 122 ftlb
Front Tension Strut to Sub Frame
m12 8.8 50 ftlb + 90°/m12 10.9 74 ftlb + 90°
Front Control Arm to Knuckle
m14 8.8 59 ftlb / m14 10.9 122 ftlb
Front Control Arm to Sub Frame
m12 8.8 50 ftlb + 90° / m12 10.974 ftlb + 90°
Front Sway Endlink to Strut m10 43 ftlb
Front Strut Pinch Bolt 34 ftlb
Front Strut Top Hat Bolts 25 ftlb
Front Strut Top Bolt 47 ftlb
Rear Shock Top Bolt 20 ft lb
Rear Lower Shock Bolt 28 ftlb
Rear Lower Control Arm to knuckle 121 ftlb
Rear Lower Control Arm to Sub Frame 121 ftlb
Rear Upper Control Arm to Sub Frame 74 ftlb
Rear Upper Control Arm to Bearing Carrier 74 ftlb + 90°
Rear Guide Arm to Sub Frame 74 ftlb

FYI the strut top bar just slides out the way to give access once you remove its bolt. Thanks for the video. I too have the touring and need to do the rears, looking forward to removing all that trim 🙃😂
I am not sure what your life is like or where you are at with the channel and making videos. But I think you make really good content people will take major interest in. You may not get a million views straight away but you have to put in the work! I could see this being a very successful channel in the future. I hope to see new content, we miss you!

What happens to the rubber top mount ? I have an e90 with coil overs like this and all it’s done it annihilate all the other rubbers because there are no top mounts it metal to metal 🤔

Where did you find your rear M tech bumper? I haven't been able to find one anywhere for an E91, can you shed any light here?

What is happening with the E21 youtube project?
Its still sitting for now. Holding onto the shell in hopes of having time and place to properly work on it. Its just really tough right now due to other commitments I have. But its still on the horizon for down the road.

Omar Calderon it’s good for Coilovers but I could see people being really annoyed with the ride compared to like stock or sport suspension. It’s most definitely harsher, especially with stiff sidewall tires. My wife actually doesn’t mind them so I should probably take the ad down

There was a long rectangle plastic cover on the that interior piece. Cut that shit and use as a flap !!

neven blaskovic yes it had Bilsteins in the back, front shocks were busted. The goal of the video is to show people how to install suspension, not necessarily focused on the brands or types.

Those are not coilover.

Those are normal shocks with normal springs.
Coil overs have the springs wrapped around the shocks and came in one piece
