Im a Licensed massage therapist for 16 years now. I’m so fascinated learning new massage skills! So far my favorite type of massage to do is a combo of deep tissue and Thai massage. Would love to learn Lomi, lomi

I love how this video doesn't show any of what makes lomi lomi so dope. She's literally just doing a Swedish 😂 lomi lomi has the person with minimal draping, and you're dancing around the body basically, doing strokes with the forearms from the foot, all the way up to the neck, and down to the other foot in a matter of seconds. It's my favorite style to do. But this is just a Swedish. You can learn those moves in basic massage at the Milan institute 😂

You completely missed the story, the message and the roots of it all.

@@Binaism1 well, yes. That's a huge part of it. But it's an extremely unique style of massage that doesn't look anything like a Swedish massage haha and for the average person playing for a lomi, they expect it to be a different style

@@Randuski We have a saying in Hawaiian: a’ohe pau ka ‘ike i ka halau ho’okahi; knowledge doesn’t end with a single source. There are many different aspects in practicing lomi- ho’oponopono, la’au lapa’au, lua, even your families lineage. The technique you described sounds a lot like “temple lomi” which is, unfortunately, a non-traditional technique and is frowned upon.
