I dont plug my patreon in the videos because I want to keep the content pure and timeless. However currently I am accepting for support in the early months as i recently quit my day job to push this series as far as it can go. The entire bioshock series is criminally cut short.
It's just too unfortunate.
👀👀🤪🤫4th game
Bioshock *Infinite*
Bioshock infinite 2 may be on the way
Probably because Microsoft wasn't particularly kind to them at their start
@Levi Kim fourth is announcement
Miss the most important part--- the end of bioshock infinite is elizabeth is still in the crib at the end of the game
Pandorin this is something I REALLY would like to know!
... That's a good point actually... We never actually see if she had a physical model or she's halfway :0
The real end of Bioshock Infinite is Burial at the Sea........
She dies
Game developer here. Those black boxes are most likely garbage collection / spawn boxes. I use them in my software to:
1. Keep a running array of all valid actors
2. Keep all unused actors (or not yet spawned) in one place out of view
3. Keep a running tab on all level variables required.
The black boxes here may not be the same, but usually when we place items like this, it's for garbage collection (disable all the actors inside of it, pause all animations, and set their LoD to the minimum allowed), or/and keeping track of said actors.
That’s interesting information
but why are they not just invisible objects like it's usually the case in the editor?
why do thjey have to be a physical 3d object?
@@overdev1993 It's a pair of flags usually that dictates what is visible and what isn't. One flag is for visible in editor, and another is visible in game. For stuff out of the way like this, that the player should never really see in regular play, we tend to not fiddle with the settings. Also, we need to see where things are as well.
Bring Us the Camera and Wipe Away the Secrets.
Bring Us the Camera and Wipe Away the Boundaries.

that was the deal...

6:58 I never knew there were splicers in infinite
Jesus Christ, their faces are the splicer models!
LMAO
6:11 "Revenge of the Jedi" The scrapped title of " Return of the Jedi".
Im french and the french title is not revenge du jedi but retour du jedi
Revenge of the Jedi was the initial Title, then it was changed to "Return" - hence why I said "Scrapped"!
you must be really french cus u didnt even read that hsit properly bud
It really translates to Baugette of the Jedi, trust me, I'm French.
Before the switched it to french in english it was revenge of the jedi i just watched an old e3 demo were in english it was revenge of the jedi the developers changed it to french when the scene was switched to paris france instead of america.
That angelic music is one of my favorite tracks from any game. It's so serene and beautiful.
Really awesome episode but I feel there is a lot more you could have showed like what about Songbird? What about other areas in the game? What about the part where one of those horn guys appears behind you? What about Rapture in this game or the place Booker is drowned in? What about the flashbacks in Bookers office where someone outside is calling to him? So many things to see that while this episode was really interesting, left me wanting more. You should really make a part 2 as well as make one for Bioshock 2.
He needs to announce the games he's going to do earlier. write down every single request he gets, and also explore the entire game himself. Then theres no way he'd miss anything!
That would improve this series a lot.
MysteriousTomJenkins
it took me about two full minutes to discern your profile picture.
"😑?"
It's neat 🌈⚡
But anyway, he's only one guy. even if he's got some help for editing and whatnot, finding everything would take multiple playthroughs with extra time tacked on for roaming.
In a game that's 40 hours, you're now looking at 3-4 times that - 120 hours of repetition, loading and saving and loading and searching and loading and variation and loading and 😧...
Y'know... I just realized that the typical playtime for a modern game - 40-60 hours - is the equivalent of a full-time work week with some serious overtime.
And? That just means longer wait time on episodes and longer episodes. I can dig it. Maybe it's time to hire an editor.
Same here, very lacking in things that could be shown from such awesome moments.
I think that about most of his episodes. There is way too much i just didn't do that he really should have.
wait. you didnt check if the baby was in the crib at the end? come on man
Seriously, what the fuck.
@@cxx23 it is no
Incelroni it’s actually yes and no
ken levine probably told him not to add that in the video or idk
hooked on a theevan *Spoilers for Burial At Sea* She was. I think that was the start of Burial At Sea, it sets up the Booker that got his Anna’s head decapitated, so when Comstock failed at stealing Anna/ Elizabeth, Comstock hired the Luteces a second time to escape to Rapture, so the player all throughout episode 1 thinks that they’re Booker but if you were able to see “Booker”, you’d find out that he has white hair and he shaved. So Elizabeth in Burial at sea was eliminating the last Comstock in existence. Elizabeth in Burial At Sea, was OUR original Elizabeth. Sad to know now that they’re all dead and at least one Booker in one alleyway was left with a headless baby ;-;
Those black boxes are pretty common in videogames. Most engines need entities to run commands. The boxes probobly have commands assigned to them just like how GlaDos voice is assigned to the Blue Errors in portal.
10:08 That's where all my ram went...
The scene isn't any more RAM demanding than the rest
Bioshock Infinite is one of those games that changed drastically from its initial E3 trailer.
This had nothing to do with downgraded graphics though. It's more of how they rehauled the game.
The game they built for E3 was just a substantively different game than the final product. There’s a video about it.
Yeah, I was surprised to see just how many people really hate Infinite, and apparently that's one of the main reasons. Devs showed the game way too soon and people were pissed when the final product turned out to be quite different.
I don't care what people said, it's a good game.
Even tho it doesn't have that Bioshock feeling like moral choice, multiple ending, it's still a good game.
It's a completely different game from what they showed
This game is insanely good. I miss the massive amounts of ambience that a game gives you so early on in in playing. That feel has started to leave but maybe there is another game down the line that works like Bioshock Infinite.
The closest I can think of right now is Skyward Sword. I love it when games give you another life to live before sending you on an adventure.
@@Echocookie8948
Yeah same, while the feeling definitely moved on once I got to the mid and end section of the game, I was still in shock, awe and amazement at Columbia even more so in the beggining, I don't know any game that can top that feeling!
Bioshock 4 was announced
Prey
Can't hold a candle to its predecessors, but it's technically well done and aesthetically pleasing.
These are great keep it up man.
Thank you man
@@BoundaryBreak whatever happened to that follow up episode?
@@BoundaryBreak Did you do Bioshock 2?
"Weird physics on Elizabeth's dress."
What? No. The dress is obviously dancing furiously.
Subbed btw.
Random dancing
I was really hoping for more stuff. You basically jumped from the beginning to the end, so really, a second part of this would be nice.
gradS Yeah, I wanted to see the Tornado scene in the cornfield, and the tear to New York getting bombarded by Columbia. What a shame.
TheArtkaw Id also see that unused space lighthouse that resembles the Citadel Station from System Shock
Def a second episode, the game itself is vast
Bioshock: Infinite Cubes
WimpyMcWeaksauce sounds like a Minecraft rip-off
6:27 Elizabeth t posing asserting her dominance over paris (1984 colorized)
"Lost the footage" my ass...
9:03 Booker cupping his... daughter? Yeesh.
I never noticed this before , But the character with a bullet in his head at the start of the game is wearing the same clothes as Jack ( the main protagonist from Bioshock 1 ). That's either really smart or creepy like getting Freddy as a babysitter.
MrAdamFC I noticed his good awful sweater just now too and I've played through Bioshock 1 and infinity multiple times and never noticed the sweater often
SixFists productions if it is him, That's a really cool easter egg considering infinite leads onto burial at sea
I mean isn't there infinite universes with infinite versions of you?
Infinite light houses.
Burial at sea explains this. But still I noticed that too only recently:)
Please do Burial at Sea episodes 1 and 2! Bioshock is my favourite video game, and I'd be so excited to see them on Boundry Break!
Add Bioshock 2 to that list. There is much to discover in this franchise.
Please do a n64 game for episode 64
Yesss
Booker cops a feel at 9:04 I didnt see this in my playthrough
He does lolz!!
I was looking for this comment hahahah

"what are you doing, step other dimensional daddy?"
7:00 This is the first ever moment in which I actually got shocked while watching your videos.
Reverend Revenant so disturbing right?
I have an idea, why not do a compilation of games that people request (but the lack of interesting stuff is the reason why it can't be made into a full episode) into one episode? It'll be a minitage sort of
Stonez do it as a 100th episode special
If it's all about things that aren't interesting, I'd make it the 99th
I support this.
That's not a bad idea, Stonez. I'd watch a 30-40 minute episode made up of shorter 3-10 minute segments of different games.
I would watch multiple ads on that. Especially if it had TIMESPLITTERS 2 like shesez promised me at 100k subs;((
A video of Boundary Break about BioShock with Ken Lavine! I am way too excited for this!
Did this video ever happen?
Nexxus Gaming i dont think so
Shame
I wanted to know about the cubes so bad! ;_;
I bet Ken told all, but he can't make a video about it for us peasants. Was so hyped at the time too! 😒
0:05 She looks uncomfortable, disgusted then disappointed when you say you want to explore the secrets
Elizabeth *IS NOT* happy
I feel like the black cubes are like handles for the zones in the game attached to the whole of the zone's assets. You move the box, you move the stage it's connected to.
Ah yes, sky Bioshock. The one without water.
Skyoshock
Wat? SpacioShock?
@@fuzzydunlop7928 ur ahead of ur time man slow it down
it is the best part of the trilogy, give it a chance.
So what? Dont like it? Your problem.
That mountain observatory is really interesting. Not much to look at, but I feel like that potentially hints towards something big. Like maybe that was one of the places you were supposed to visit during that end-game scene, meant as a tease for the location for a future game. Maybe during the development of Infinite they were already planning where they would go next with the series, and that was somehow involved in the setting. Really cool to think about. Sad it never happened though. But if you could ask Ken Levine about that, that would be amazing to get his word on!
Guess what, bioshock isolation is set in Antarctica!
First point of contact with your channel and an excellent introduction it was too. Bioshock Infinite reserves a special place in my heart, and to see the game spoken about in any capacity, so many years after its release, pleases me greatly. Looking forward to future videos, and any comments from the maestro Mr. Ken Levine if you happen to share them. All the best Shesez.
I want to hear what Ken Levine said... If you had time to add that he replied, then you could have just put what he said...
Oh man this was really awesome! All those lighthouses, and extra levels, just imagine the stories to be explored if they were to continue the series!
I really wish this could be an hour long so I could really see everything there is to see. I love seeing game design, or whats left of it, from this perspective.
10:07 So that's why it's called Bioshock Infinite
Just finished Infinite and Burial at Sea, and I don’t know what to do with my feels. This game is without a doubt one of the best videogames I’ve ever played. What a fantastic franchise
I feel like this vid could've been longer
K1llerB333 Time constraints do exist.
shaydykillar123 that may be true but a lot have been 45 mins long.
K1llerB333 I just looked down the list of videos and barely any are longer than 20 minutes.
shaydykillar123 you must not be looking very hard
What are you going on about? I've looked again and like I said, there are barely any videos that are longer than 20 minutes.
You should do a boundary break on alien isolation :3
10:10 LLOOLLL "There's always a city,there's always a lighthouse."
8:09
A S S E R T
D O M I N A N C E
What really intrigues me is the snowy mountain lighthouse. This is because obviously the two versions of the lighthouses we know of (Colombia and Rapture ones) are alternate universes and it's kinda self explanatory as they are on exact opposite ends of the planet. (Way underwater, and way in the sky.) However, what was this mountain lighthouse suppose to signify? To tease a potential new bioshock game with a yet new universe? Where did the people live? In a cave system within those mountains? An underground broken down attempt st civilization would definitely have been a really cool idea! I know that isn't much to go off of, but considering that Rapture and Colombia are isolated alternate universes, what's so improbable about the underground one? Just as isolated!
And the other area is a desert, it really piques my curiosity on what these where supposed to be. I have my problems with Infinite but the multiverse thing and the fact that regular Bioshock and infinite coexist as two separate worlds is something I kind of like so with these unused areas I'm wondering, as you are, if these were other reclusive civilizations. What would they be like, why do they exist? What would their technology be like as well as their way of life. I'd like to imagine that the potential desert city could be an oasis in the middle of the desert and they have technology to create a sandstorm to hide themselves and that tower is a way to get inside or reveal its location.
tjcervi I was thinking the snowy lighthouse may be from a unused part of the mutiple lighthouse scene. Maybe it was something to do with him at the Boxer Rebellion with slate or something?
It remindse me of Shangri-La as popularised by the novel Lost Horizons, a hidden utopian civilisation in a mountain range.
perhaps one deep underground and perhaps one in space?
And when they run out of ideas, just take it to space!
Great episode! Love bioshock and is always interesting to see the ins and outs of it. Ever thought of doing Alien Isolation? Seems perfect for boundary break.
Keep it up!!
I only just stumbled upon this channel and it's the most captivating subscription I've made in a long time. Keep up the good work I'm loving this series!
Since the BioShock series is my favourite game series of all time and ever new game has to stand up to these games regarding their quality, I really appreciate this video 😃
Did anyone else notice that the French theater was showing Return of the Jedi?
It's actually "Revenge of the Jedi" which was the old title for Return of the Jedi!
Fire Strike TV 😱 i never noticed that!
La Revanche Du Jedi. Yup... Revenge of the Jedi... Hilarious easter egg!
aw shut the fuckup, this wasnt hard to notice, and was first shown in e3 footage years ago ya fucking weapon
Not everyone saw the E3 footage. Also, be respectful and be nice. Follow Quora's guidelines and you will make friends someday.
On of my favorite games of all time, on one of my favorites series on CZcams of all time. Super glad to see this love the show shout out to all who worked on it.
@9:00..... Booker’s copping a feel on Elizabeth..... boy he’s gonna feel reeeeeaaaaalllly grossed out once he finally finds out she’s his daughter 😂😂😂😂
12:15 did he ever do a follow up on that new information he got from Ken Levine?
Before watching a Boundary Break: I feel so immersed in this game and everything seems so amazing. :D
After watching a Boundary Break: Okay the immersion is completely gone. Thanks Shezes.
Yanny Candelario I feel the same ):
Game was shit anyways so I feel bad that you even managed to get immersed in it

You seem like a rad dude. I'm glad you are having all this success. That's awesome that the actual game director contacted you!!!
Your videos are great man, good luck and keep it up! Don't let the algorithm get you down! I've learned a lot about game design from your videos, thank you for that!
Hey man, I want you to know your videos have become a crucial part of my ‘ritual’ (for lack of a better word) when completing a game now. 🤣 After completing one, I’ll immediately go to watch your video on it, even if I’ve played the game and seen your video on it half a dozen times before. 🙂 it’s been my way to cap off a beloved game. keep up the good work!!
U should go look at the big daddy at the end of the game
OH CRAP HE SAW OMG
You make boring things pretty fun. This gives great insight into game development.
thanks dude
I want to see what happens just before the time when you climb over the ledge in one of the scenes, and suddenly the entire scene changes. I wanna see how early the new scene gets loaded in before you see it. Also when the Twins disappear. Great video though.
Yet another brilliant episode of Boundary Break!
Keep up the great work Shesez! ☺
Game has a complete city that floats in the sky - Oh look, a floating cube. How strange.
I wonder how many Booker DeWitts and Elizabeths are in that final scene: I know there are more running around
Can I just say that I absolutely love the moment between Booker and Elizabeth when she is applying a bandage to his hand.
Had a good laugh at the zoom in on Elizabeth in her T pose without the dress. Completely unexpected! As always, great stuff man!
If you noclip to those floating islands of buildings you can see assets from older versions of the game like billboards of Old Comstock, unused vigors, and building architecture that resembles the E3 2010 Columbia. Also the first New York scene is just a "movie on a screen", but the second New York Scene is fully rendered with actual objects.
Such a fun game to noclip.
When he said "weve got some pretty good stuff" i knew it was gonna be good
I remember going off camera in twisted metal and duke Nukem when I was a kid and it gave me such a great feeling! That’s why I love this channel!
I love your videos, when I was a child I always asked myself the things you are showing in your videos. It's very interesting and facinating. Keep the good work :).
Yo the ice mountain at 11:00 could be the antarctica setting for bio shock 4 they wanted to tease but changed thier mind. That's probably a first glimpse at bio shock 4
That’s actually a really good speculation!
I loved Loved LOVED this episode! Great job ,sir! The Bioshock series is one of my favorites! Is there a BioShock 2 in the future?
Thank you so much for finally getting around to BioShock Infinite. This remains one of my favorite games in history and I love learning any small (and seemingly unimportant) details about it, such as the unused snowy observatory.
Two things though: 1). A tad disappointed that there was no mention or showing of the songbird scene at comstock house (Although i assume it's similar to every other timed character model entrance). & 2) I think it's in the market area, right before the aforementioned level, but I remember finding a dead-end room with 2 elevators inside (one functional, one destroyed) & thinking that it had absolutely no reason to be there. Anything there at all?
Anyway, if you DO happen to re-make or edit this episode, It'd be awesome if you could check one (or both) of those out for me. If not, no problem.
Great episode. Very interesting. This is one of my favorites of all time. Cool stuff
What is the name of the violin song at 10:19 please ?
_"Booker, are you afraid of God?"_
_"No, but I'm afraid of rushed game development."_
Rushed development that apparently took over 6 years...
"Hey! 'Flawless Flintlock'!
It's the newest one in the series!
I read it was delayed *t h r e e t i m e s"*
So trueeeee
It wasn't delayed because of a rushed development though.
@Nicholas Marashio It definitely needed a little more time in the oven, but the game we got was still good
When I was a boy... I had a dog named Bill.
No but seriously the whole hidden snowy mountain thing was incredible and that's the kind of stuff I love to see from these videos. Good work!
@Shesez Great video as always! and super nice image quality!! Keep it up man :)
Elizabeth has her father’s eyes...
3:14 Every time I hear that, at the beginning of the game, i'm reminded of the baptism scene in O' Brother Where Art Thou. lol Anybody else get that?
another great video, well done my friend! one of the best/most original gaming channels on youtube imo!
I've been learning so much from this series. Thank you.
it's so nice that you get recognition for what you do like with all the developers and voice actors from pokemon i'm happy that this channel is doing really good also i want to recomend life is strange again and i'm sorry if i'm becoming annoying but i would really love it if you did an episode on that anyway keep up the good work
I really wish this game was longer, I enjoyed it but it was so straight forward, even the DLC.
Hey man, appreciate all the work! Thanks very much for these insights.
7:00 right as you zoomed in on the low poly models, my computer freezed and the boarder around the video was blue and it scared the shit out of me.
Awesome video dude! One of my favourite games
Shesez, I have requested you upskirt shots of Elizabeth.
All my requests were ignored. Why?
Unless theres a parallell universe up there, i just dont see any non creepy version to show that to the audience
Shesez Actually, after Elizabeth stabs Daisy, if you move the camera during the running away cutscenes Elizabeths legs look extremely contorted. Best reason for such an otherwise yuck request.
Rule 34 exists for a reason.
There's probably nothing to see; if the devs have any sort of class or taste, then they would only model enough of her legs to show when her skirt flutters when she moves. Otherwise, there would be no point except for pervs like you.
Yeah, for all her models they have no lower torso under the skirt and the legs only go up as far as needed. In fact, I believe Ken Levine aired distaste at the Rule 34 of Elizabeth, likening it to porn of a daughter for all the work he has participated in on the character.
Where has this channel been all my life!?
7:14 now that I didnt expect. This is why I love your boundary breaks.
Bruh when Elizabeth breaks the 4th wall ay 8:03 , i thought she was genuinly looking at you watching her.. shit freaky..
its crazy to think that there was a winter lighthouse. Makes me wonder if Ken Levine ever directed another Bioshock game. If he was going to make a game with a lighthouse on the mountain as a teaser to the next Bioshock game. I hope the next Bioshock game that is currently in development turns out well! I'm looking forward to returning to the world of Bioshock!
i looove the bioshock series and i was wondering, have you considered doing episodes for the dlc games for bioshock 2 and infinite? id be super interested to see the ins and outs of minerva's den and burial at sea c:
A lot of times "cubes" are used as "blueprints" a series of code within a actual object that will effect the world or character.
In example HUD elements like the compass code would be in a cube.
Also, the characters don't actually go invisible. They call a code called "destroy actor" and as it's says, it destroys the actor. Lol love the videos man!(:
("DO CRASH TWINSANITY" intensifies)
Me: Wanting to get a better look at the skyboxes or far-off set pieces
Shesez: CUBES
3:31 Trees here always looked like the place Booker's baptist flashback happened in near the end of the game. Thought it might be reference to how it's the same priest, but he's blind so he can't recognize Booker. Also OMG, you got in contact with Ken Levine?!?! So jealous, he seems like an interesting dude to sit down and have a conversation with. Would like to meet him someday.
that zoom out of the main hub of Columbia, until he went too far, would have made a great trailer scene
Elizabeth’s old design was much better. I liked her teased powers, and bigger booba is always a plus.

Hi, are there any way we can take the 3d model out from this game and put in 3ds max or some other 3d software? Cuz me and my friends currently making a game but we are just beginners, so i'm really trying to learn anything i could find.
Can you please do a Boundary Break of Half-Life 2? I know we ca do it ourselves via console commands, but I'm sure you can make an awesome video out of it and give us your spin on the whole thing including stuff we may not pick up on! :D
