I feel like I don’t want to do it again cause it takes me years to get over it. When I love someone, I really love them. 💔my last love is an avoidant and I was cut off, and out overnight. Nearly 7 months and I’m still devastated. 😢I adored that man.

I was shocked when i started talking to the man im with now he admitted he was looking for love and hopefully his forever person. He first told me he cared for me before i told him i cared. He doesnt seem to have any fear of love or being in a serious relationship.

It took me 3 years to get over a 20 year relationship, then I became avoidant on entering another relationship for fear of that time to heal….. I’ve just met a wonderful man & he gives me butterflies, I forgot how much I love love ❤️
I do understand I was with my partner for over 40yrs she was the love of my life. It’s been 4yrs and I’m still healing her loss. I’ve been watching all your videos and I just wanna say thank you for everything about your advice. And all your I will be ordering your books too!

I’m glad somebody asked about saying I love you. I went through that same experience today asked my boyfriend. I’ve almost here if he was in love with me and I was a bit shocked that he said he didn’t know how to answer that so we broke up today so that was validation that he would know then.

I’m very confused by this… the love of my life passed away last year. In 33 years we never had an argument, doesn’t mean we didn’t have rough patches in life, but boy were we in non stop love. This was both our second marriage, the first was a nightmare and a fiasco for both of us. We remembered we had been someone else’s nightmare before being each other’s dream. LOL. Lately i became closer to a church fellow musician I often played guitar and sang with. The relationship (no intimacy involved) is so complicated, push, pull, frustration… He has been in the « friend only drawer » for ten years in my life. I never had to over explain my feelings and needs to my late husband, he could exactly know what I needed. Vice-versa. I think I was on another planet for all these years LOL!

I find relationships and dating very complex now, i mean, I have this memory of a spiritual sacred intimate marriage, high bonding , simplicity with an very loving man, my best friend. Now I wake up all imperfect, awkward, incapable of expressing my feelings properly,and paranoid on top of it! . . . I feel good being single now, and safer this way. I guess It makes me a big time avoidant. Perhaps it is a part of grieving. Thank you for your research and caring advice. Also for you personal input!

Yes when you say you’ve done the work you can’t really say you are completely healed we’re all evolving and that can take time when you realize that that was just a minute fraction of your healing you still have eons to go it could be in this lifetime or many lifetimes to come this is my understanding but I am grateful to where I have come in my own healing process it has taken years and a wealth of knowledge I feel I am close to attaining that beautiful unconditional love you are talking about an even when I do attain some form of it I believe there will be constant work to be done on both of our parts to keep it. This is a very difficult journey you have to change everything about yourself including the way you think. I knew I’m making progress because someone told me the other day that I was kind or I am kind. I’m putting this out there in case it may help someone. I was and still am the drama queen but it just happens I can’t control it I believe when you are accepted for who you are kinks and all is part of the healing.
