I finally found mine. We met online, there was an instant connection. It has only gotten better since then.
I was married to a narcissist for 23 years. Had 2 children by him divorced him at 11 yrs ago. Then I met the love of my life, we had 15 years together. He died almost a year ago. It will be a year May 21st. I'm obviously still grieving. I lost my husband lost my job and lost my home all within in one month's time. My husband's friend comes along. Who I don't know very well but I know my husband trusted him and my husband trusted no one he is now my roommate.
We never jumped into anything. right away but it has now presented itself as more than just roommates and friends now. It's kind of touchy to whether or not I know if he is just another narcissist and looking for supply or he is truly geniune. That's my story. I think a lot of us are all in the same boat. And wasted years are too sad to think about! and never a good thing.

I'm sorry for you. I had a pretty rough divorce too. He was very selfish and self absorbed. It was a very hurtful process that nearly destroyed me. But over some time I started living again. Gave up on finding someone and started just making me happy. And I started attracting guys like crazy. ( I've had 5 kids, its not always looks that attract someone) definitely glow up from being happy though. I have truly found a wonderful man now. And he really does love me very much. Trick is make yourself happy first. Not to sound corny or cliché.

I am 69 years old, and I have never heard any man say any of those things to me. Everything you said here with something I've always had to do for myself. I'm not unattractive and was told I am attractive but apparently that hasn't gotten me anywhere. After years of looking and seeking, and finally came to terms that it's just not going to work out for me, so I've had to take care of myself. I don't even have friends who have men like this. To me it sounds something more like what you see in the movies, but not in reality I've had to come to terms with the fact that I will probably end up Staying alone. I don't like the ups and downs in the games and the dishonest people that are out there. I'd rather be by myself than to have to deal with endless heartaches. It makes me very sad to think that there are men who actually feel this way, and I have been unable to find them. Videos like this make me very sad.

Anybody can SAY anything. It's the ACTIONS behind the words that matter. For example: there's the narcissist who will say anything to get what he wants. Yes, he'll say every one of these 12 things and more, and not mean a word of it. He'll say "I'll fix it!" Then 10 minutes later say that "you are too needy". OR The passive-aggressive who will tell you that "they'll fix it" and a month later you're still waiting.

Stay away from the bars ladies. Look for men at the grocery stores, libraries, home improvement stores, work, etc. Don't share your feelings first. Men love the chase. Don't always be available. Absence does make the heart grow fonder. Food does reach the heart. Feed him. It doesn't have to be a 5 course meal. Even finger foods is fine. Remember little things that are important. Encourage him to have time with his male friends. Take care of yourself. He will love you for the rest of your life. Much success! ❤

@@I.Love.My.Border.Collie : This is really great advice. I ran a singles group for years and all the things you say above are very true. Not being overly available is BEST! Don't give yourself away. Wait for him to present you with a monogamous commitment before you get intimate. I haven't heard men say all those things that this guy says above but he does them, even if he doesn't say them. My experience with men is that in general they are not so great at verbal communication. So they do need to know the rules...set the boundaries, it is true what he says about them not being mind readers.

Be nice but dont always be available for them and their becking call, keep living your life on your own path......I trigger the hunt in men naturally everytime because i dont yearn for relationships i have always been a loner and value my independence.....Takes a pretty special guy who doesnt conform to society norms for me to turn my head! With the right man, you don't have any issues letting them help you and be there for you, secure relationship. I would never let a man do for me if I am not interested without communicating and making sure they know that, not to take advantage of someone's feelings, emotions and not exploit that. Even for independent women. I think we have to be independent or stubborn about such things against those who are neglectful and unkind. Nothing is more annoying and frustrating than someone who acts supportive, acts as though they truly desire to help you and they turn around and resent you for it :/ it is the biggest mess up or they insist on lecturing you over and over how much they had to sacrifice for you out of obligations and not sincere desires

I was married for 54 years to the man I adored and who adored me. It only ended when he died at the age of 81. They broke the mould when they made him. He was amazing. He said beautiful things to me and I felt so loved. My life is worthless without him in it.
My narcissistic ex husband that I was married to for 22 years has never said any of these things
For 22 years, I was married to a narcissist whose favorite saying was "my way or the highway" whenever we got into a dispute or disagreement. There was no compromising on his part, whatsoever. He wanted the dog fed and the pie whole. Guess who gave in all the time just to keep peace in the household for the sake of our two children. My wants and needs didn't count for anything. After 22 years of hearing "do as I say" and being a doormat, I decided to end it all by filing for divorce. Thinking back, I regret for not doing it sooner. By the time he realized what his behavior had accomplished it was too late to save the marriage.

I found a guy , he said all of theses things to me. I fell in love with him, then he ran away from me no explanation. He even kept calling me by his last name and told me he wanted me to wear a white dress and heels. He was not very tall and he he was happy I could wear heels and still be shorter than he was. He made much less than I do and his mother is mean, so people wondered why I would even want him. But he made me so happy, I didn’t care if he had money or not. We talked about where we wanted to do and whether we wanted kids or not, we decided that we would just be us and borrow family members children. He helped me wrap all the gifts for my class and said it’s like we are married with kids and wrapping all the presents for our kids. He came early to watch the kid’s opening them. I don’t understand what happened.
Some men get scared when things get too real. They feel vulnerable, inadequate, or so afraid of what might happen that they decide to quit before they lose us. Also, they listen to everything we say and pick up on things in our tone and language that can make them feel unsafe. A lot of men won't admit it, but they have as many fears and insecurities as we do.

Not sure…hmm…what if a man says all these things, but only pretends, in other words manipulates your trust? How to know the difference? Besides that this man might be married (which on the other hand doesn’t mean he is unable to love and perhaps the marriage is on its decline), what other factors are helpful to determine whether to stay away from flattery? Narcissists do all of this in the beginning of a relationship until they know you've fallen for them. Then things start to change! Watch not only words and actions but whats more important is watching patterns! Its easy to fake it but patterns tell the real story.

Thank you for this! I have been having these conversations with a female friend about my dating connections and actually arguing over things because she’s not understanding what I’m looking for. It is these conversations I need that she takes for granted. My own family never gave this to me and i couldn’t put my finger on it or understand why I craves it so much! Where someone like here always had it & doesn’t understand someone like me who will not tolerate doing without. I have been asking for help lately, I’ve gotten better at that. Thanks again 🙏💝
