The audio has recently been found out by the community how to fix
1. Go to start menu search
2. Type realtek and select the first one you see
3. Change the equalizer preset to vocal
And that's it

It's a fix for people who don't know that out of the box It's set to powerful for some reason! Which of course is crap sounding! Some laptops are set up like that by default, which is why I know about it from previous experience with Realtek drivers!
@@TrueEasyTechthat should be fixed by bloody Lenovo not the users. But that ain't no fix anyway.
You can make the speakers sound much better by adjusting the EQ in the realtek audio software. You can also remap the start/select buttons to be at the top in the Legionspace software. Lenovo has been quite active with the community since they launched the Go and continue to make improvements based on user feedback. I love my Legion Go, especially for the big screen size and the performance.
I tried few apps to improve the sound but they made it even worse for me. I had no idea about remapping and why do we need to remap the buttons when on Ally and Deck everything is working right outside the box?:) I am glad you enjoying your Legion Go and that is the most important part of owning one of these devices. Thank you for saying the obvious. Some people are unwilling to do any modifications for a handheld pc. Even with the fan situation, you can't hear it when you're playing the game.

I got one last December. I have NO wiggle room in the joycons. The fact that they are removable means I don't have to carry a wireless mouse OR a controller. I use it more than my laptop or my phone. I'm watching this video on it. It has a learning curve, but one thay is well worth it if a person were willing to Google their problems before complaining
it seams that my Legion Go have some strange problems with joycons. I belive is it quality control issue
This device is 🐶💩alot of returns on my local best buy the employees told me customer’s complaint about loose controllers how tf they dont check for this issue beforehand is beyond ridiculous 😅

@@hater6346 Your username holds out. Can't say I believe your story. My controllers are perfectly fine, and if they weren't, it would be easy to replace just that part. Verses the ROG, where you have to do a whole teardown. Legion is more repairable was one of my main sticking points. Hearing you complain about a device you don't own is a great review though.

Number 1: Buy a case. The joycons will never move as the cases tighten the Legion Go. 3: The screen, use upscaling.

The fan comparison was bullshit. Performance is allys 25W turbo. Custom full fan speed vs predefined fan and temp curve. I mean even you should know how wrong you did the comparison.
I just got my legion go 2 days ago ..if your thinking about buying 1 ..Just buy it ..its dope lol

Just returned the Ally and picked up the Go. Best decision. If the Go is too heavy for you...... I'd keep that to myself. Speakers are fixed with some tweaks.

@gorillax48 It's hard to be wrong when you speak for yourself. For myself, the ALLY sucked. I hated it. I returned it and got the Legion Go. I am loving it. Best decision I have ever made. It is perfect for me. If you like the Ally then great. Glad for you. That is why competition and choices are good.
@@sirjermzthe device hardware is pretty much the same but the Ally has a edge on the display even with more battery capacity the go gives less gaming performance and playing time so not sure what you going on. This guy makes valid points right there.
I've owned both. They are only similar on paper. The differences are night and day.
That is amazing to hear that you returned your ROG, I will be purchasing Legion Go in a couple of weeks and look forward to seeing how good it is.
I have one and love it, no complaints whatsoever. Just do all the driver and bios updates and make some setting changes like you would on a PC and you're set!

SD card on Ally is a terrible issue and I had to increase my SSD :)
I can hold my legion go for more than 3 hrs when plugged in lol and have had no issues with the joysticks

yes, it does unfortunately due to one cooling fan.

In comparison to every digital device that has speakers since like 2003, the Lenovo Legion go is the worst sounding audio I've ever experienced in my life.
What does it sound like
I agree the speakers are a disappointment, but the rest of the criticisms are quite harsh. One thing I don't like about the screen is the fact that it is portrait native - this appears to cause issue with older DOS games and correct aspect ratios. I have the SD and Ally as well (both are excellent in my opinion), and I have to admit this Legion Go is my most used device.
I also have SD, Ally and Go. Go is also my least used device :)

I bought the Lenovo go and I got black ops 3 on steam I play zombies it’s even able to play on no WiFi so never glitches super clean you won’t be disappointed

Been meaning to get one of one of the handhelds. Watched one vid on Legion Go and immediately cross it off the list.
Its the bulkier of the 3 and design wise, its kinda ugly. From the front it looks nice but from any other angle...Its not that nice.
the only good thing about it is the screen. Everything else seams way behind Ally or Deck

Rog Ally is not perfect too. Soon I will make video with 20 things wrong with Ally:) and there will be one fatal flaw
You got to be kidding me man. I had the Steam Deck, The Rog Ally and now the Legion Go. The Legion Go is better. The only weakness is the Speakers that's it. Rog Ally is great but in a long run the Legion Go is better.
Both the ally and the go are literally the same lmao, except for the screen size and detachable controllers

Vrr is overplayed and over rated if anything it makes some games worse more pixels on legion I play all my games on 1920 x 1600 high settings with frame generation fluid motion 24.1.1 driver and average over 120 fps on most triple a titles wth is this guy talking about quit fan noise is good and the fan never runs at full speed so many buttons for fps mode and now they have functions for all the buttons the review of 8 reasons not to buy is irrelevant 🤣 please do research before discussing why someone shouldn't buy something

He says the fans are loud, so his solution is to partially cover the fans with tape. Are you serious?? Lower the fan sound by burning the machine up? How much can we really trust what this guy says?? Just a word of advice…you need to be at least somewhat educated on a product before you review it.
To be honest I will agree that I was much stupider when I made this video :) in my defence, my temps are the same but there is no more whistle noise from the fan due to the tape at the back. Lenovo made a huge progress so far with Legion Go and it is no longer a bad device in my opinion:)
I'm confused about whether I should buy an Asus ROG Ally or a Lenovo Legion Go, or maybe consider Chinese brands like OneXplayer and AyaNeo.
Since the Asus ROG Ally is equipped with analog sticks, should this be a concern?
I prefer Rog Ally more due to the size, speakers, fast charge and joysticks:) battery life is not a problem since I can play maximum 1 hour per day if I am lucky
I owned both. Ally runs much more smoother and the VRR legit makes it better. I returned my Legion. Still rocking the Ally.

The lack of VRR is immediately noticeable no matter what anybody tells you, also the sound is trash even after equalizing because the speakers themselves are cheap, loud fans, UI needs tons of work…! Really tried to like it though. ROG ALLY ALL DAY.
If you’re a true gamer the SD card is useless anyway plus it’s easily forgotten by a simple SSD upgrade, you getting no Ally for 300$ not even the base model, instead of bad mouthing it do your homework and go check the thing in person you’ll change your mind, it’s a beast !

Got a couple Lenovos. 2 Asus products. 1 MSI. HP products are the worst. They are a never buy. Asus has given me alot of issues with poor quality on several products. I have never had issues with Lenovo or MSI.

I really do not hear the fan at all when gaming because of the audio from the game. Not sure why anyone is complaining about this unless they are just trying to listen for the fan noise.
