I'm really enjoying my Legion Go and have no regrets about the purchase. I used to be a big PC gamer, but as I've gotten older, other things have taken priority. However, when I do have an hour or 2 to game on the road, it handles ALL the games I used to play on my PC without any issues... At the end of the day remember everyone, these are handhelds!
Get the ally x if you want better battery life, if you want a better display get the go. I have the go and it’s like having a portable ps4 it’s amazing, especially when coupled with a good power bank whilst traveling; it’s a real delight to use.
Judging by this video legion go has twice the battery power efficiency of the rog ally original which means it will be about the same battery life as the ally x czcams.com/video/wCsjo9ufEew/video.html . I just got a refurbished legion go for half the price of the ally x with a 1 year warranty :D
Bro can u normally play in bed? Because it seems like to big for it. Also how is the 16GBs RAM? I can’t believe that legion go has close to the same benchmarks than the asus rog ally X. Because how does is work when your RAM just have 16GB to share… thats crazy! 🔥
@@mrrelaxing6724 you can definitely play in bed I usually just sit it on my lap with the stand after my arms start to get tired I set my vram to 6gb in the bios and that’s a good balance for performance and battery life. You really only need the default 4gb setting it ships with but I play call of duty and it runs better at 6 gb at the highest resolution
I’d have to disagree. If you want a big screen then get the go. If you want the best looking screen get the Deck Oled. If you want the best handheld gaming screen, get Ally or Ally X which is still the only one with a VRR screen.
Just copped the LEGO, im not seeing what alot of people complain about. It single handedly made me excited about gaming again.Im in awe everytime a game just runs the way my PS5 would. And gamepass is insane on it 😫😫
@Cub__ My hands are on the bigger side. So it feels great to me. Every button feels accessible. I could see someone with really small hands not feeling the same. So as long as you got medium to large hands, your good. You do also need to find a comfy spot for longer sessions. As eventually the weight can fatigue. Any position where you can support your elbows or wrist on something will be ideal.
I went through two of both the LeGo and Ally Z1X at launch and returned them all. Now with all of the updates and UI improvements I snagged an open box LeGo for $599 here in Canada. Way more comfortable at that price point then the launch price of CAD $950. I'm willing to give the LeGo another look. Hopefully at this price point, it stays this time. While I want that extra RAM and doubled batter the Ally X offers. I can't justify the CAD $1099 price tag on release.
I only have a ally extreme almost a year now. Its a BEAST! runs everything smooth great quality. I use an adapter on the back with 3 permanent SSD flash drives 2TB each and i replaced internal SSD 2TB. Total 8TB 🔥 i replaced my gaming PC without noticing. I would wait for the next gen to replace my device although overall i think i have some years to play so much until then
I have the Legion Go. I absolutely love it, but it’s so big that I don’t take it anywhere. For me I use it plugged in while chilling in bed at home. I also don’t want anything to happen to it or for it to get stolen. I might get the Ally X to be what I take places since it’s smaller and has a better battery.
Personally I recommend the legion go if you're willing to replace windows either by wiping the drive or replacing the drive with a new one. If you're willing to do this then the Lenovo legion go is the better option and for this I personally recommend Bazzite OS. Chimera OS is also a good choice but I think Bazzite OS is better optimized for the legion go and the steam deck too.
For me battery life is the most important factor. If I could get a 80wh steam deck I would (as steam deck 8 watt gaming mode is amazing for battery duration) I guess I will wait rog aly x to be released to decide what to do
im rather wary of Asus behavior recently with the after service. i got a legion go and am quite happy with it. Also i use it as a mini Computer and at times a Mini Touchpad for videos and reading. the inbuilt stand is such a great add on.
The legion go has a better display but you're not Likely to ever play a game at that resolution. Most games will play poorly with low frames at that resolution. The tech is just not there yet. You will end up playing with steam deck resolution most of the time.
So, it is July 7th, pre-Ally X. I have an original 64gb Steam Deck, 1tb legion go, and ally z1e. My take was I prefer my Ally for gaming. I like the Go for anything else. I use FL studio to make music, photoshop and etc, I slapped all of that in the legion. I feel that the ally runs games at a higher performance than the legion. Now, could this be user error and I have some settings not optimized, probably. However, from personal experience I prefer my ally, and the X seems like the obvious choice if that is more of what I am going for. The Go however has the removable controllers and can be used as a surface tablet with beefy specs compared to an actual surface. I have used both a lot, it really matters on what I want to do. Will this take help anyone, probably not. However, it might.
I have the money to buy one i was going for the legion go but people told me the battery life is not good plus the fan is loud and other people tell me the rog ally is bad the service is not good its so hard to pick 😂
The battery life wont be good on any handheld some might have better but not the biggest difference fan can get loud bc there is only one fan. You can get the ally x from somewhere who has their own warranty service and repair service which i highly recommend on any device you buy.
I am actually trying to get the legion go I had it and then return it ,, I should have kept it, the Xbox game pass was awesome on it ,and just to have a small computer in there plans of your hands wow,, I can’t wait to get to it again
I actually returned my launch one too and just got it again recently. It just wasn't ready for primetime yet imo. The new LS is a lot better now but isn't anywhere close to ACSE on my Ally which is close to perfection for me. I missed the larger screen on the Go and I'm glad that I now have it back. I initially got the 1TB version of the Go at $750 but this time around I only got the 512GB version for $580! I got it new btw and now added the same 2TB drive like on my Ally. The total ended up being only $675 which to me is an awesome deal.
