- Finally the video where the 55 makes some noise! This was a long time coming and only runs for a few seconds but it's enough to get me motivated! Drive shaft, Radiator and some wiring to finish off this project.

Finally someone that knows how to static time a engine with a spark plug. Good video as always. I have been timing engines this way for decades. Works on motorcycle engines also.
Thanks for teaching people the right way to set initial timing.
Thanks for the props man! I try my best haha.
Like always with any backyard build a few "fails" comes a "Triumph" great video 👍
oya i have lots of fails along the way haha
I hear ya bud ...I to go through the same thing with my OBS GMT-400 builds 88 to 94. With patience and time they all come together and back on the road again. Just working on my 4th truck in 2 years. Like yourself I do 99% of the budget rebuild myself. So when shit gets to a guy 😡🤬 I take a break and tune into your channel and watch a few videos Lol. They seem to be helping with "Stress Release" lol Haha Haha. A Job well done on all the cars Dan. 👍
Congratulations, 55 sounds good. Makes it worth all trouble when they finally fire up
Yeah such an uphill battle!
Wow first start sweet
Nice job will be nice to see her going down the road
Yeah I'm stoked to take it around the block.
bad news, carbs bad, good news, cleaned out and new gaskets will help down the road. Congrats on start up.
thanks!
Awesome man, it is great to hear it run! Keep us updated and I can't wait to see you get it on the street.
Me either! So much wrenching I'm ready for the pay off Haha
BIG MOMENT IS RIGHT !
CONGRATS. BIG WIN 🏆
sounds good at idle !!!!!
Thanks my friend! It's getting there. Hearing it run was a big step
Your car is looking good. in 1974 I was sixteen over at my friends house watching two lane black top I had a 67 Camaro and he had a 55 chevy. we are still friends and still have hot rods.
nice!
@@DDSpeedShop I have told younger people if you wont to see and get a fill for what it was like when I was a teenager what that movie.
Congrats. Really on your way now. Sounds good for first start good luck with the rest of the build.
Awesome thanks. Hopefully the rest goes smoothly.
Sounds good!! Long time coming, worth the wait. Gonna be a driver!!
Itll b a fun cruiser.
That sounds good for the first time to run.. Another great video 👍
Love it man love the tri 5’s
So awesome sounding great 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾✌✌💪💪
I’ve been stressing on the upcoming fabrication of my tilt front end on my 55, but after watching your videos I feel a bit of relief in the sense of realizing that’s it’s quite possible and I’m likely just overreacting lol. Love the videos!
And that is why we do this !.. sounds good... congrats on a successful first start.
Cool!! That's a great feeling hearing a new one come time life!!👍 Thanks for sharing!
The ethanol fuel we use around here. Is good for the farmers. But no so good for older carbed vehicles.
Yeah new fuel doesn't last that's for sure
Good Job. Thanks. From the FUEL ADDICTION GARAGE
Appreciate it guys!
AWESOME!!!!
Congrats!!!!
👍😃
Finding some of the older videos and enjoying. Was hoping that you would finish the 57 all the way so it doesn;t rear its head at you as a happy wife is a happy life. You have chevy down, Could you of side rodded with me on my old 76 high boy with a true 427 cobra jet and turbo on either exhaust. It would walk down the track on the wheelie bars and tearing metal off. Its gone now cause I can't work anymore since I got crippled. So I sold it for twenty five... just about broke even. You would of had spots in your shorts over that engine with the cage main mounts to hold the bottom together... about 800 HP as close as I could figure with all the head work and the cams... yeah dual overhead cams and they are a bitch to adjust. If I had put the supercharger back on ... well I scattered parts just too many times to do it over again
Yes! That’s huge. Good job.
Awesome man been waiting a long time for this!! Bad ass!!!!
You and me both! Thanks for the support.
Used carbs are never "ready to go ", always count on a rebuild.
Man that car sounds good
Right on man. 👍🏻
Hell yeah great content !
Thanks so much!
Bummer about the carbs, but seems like it's going smooth, man. Always impressed how easy you make it look lol. Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks man!
Love this build bro
Thanks man!
Liked it, shared it, really hope it helps... Really like your channel.. Man that sounded SO GOOD!
Rick
thanks rick! i really appreciate the support man!
Good job at starting it up,I know you like look of the tunnel ram but over kill on a stock big block it would prob be a lot faster with a single carb at least I would think so I’d be more for the performance than looks I could see if you had a big cam and some roller rockers you know what I mean but it did run pretty good good fr you well done you set it up right obviously It started pretty easy well done again and have a good Xmas and a happy new year I’ve been whatching your videos backwards already seen you driving it you should try to find a strait axel for the real gasser look or whatever you call it
Your engine sounds awesome good work on the carburetors yeah those rims are GM good enough Perfect for the SS look get the SS stickers for the caps put them on the 70 Chevelle awesome deal
Yeah close enough is how I roll haha. Thanks for the support man
Nice
They are old 60s Buick Wildcat rims. Kinda like Chevys rally wheels.
totally
Tunnel ram is cool. 55 is too.
Yeah it's got a sweet look haha
OK!!
Great now after a year shes alive. Lets get her to the TRI5 Nats and you can race me.
Haha maybe one day!

How long did the build take on 55 chevy belair ?? LW 64 🇺🇸 ✌🖐👍
👍👍👍👏!😀
To be a two lane copy it needs a straight axle
to be a gasser it needs a straight axle
@@600lwp yes.but in two lane black top you can see it has a straight axle.
One of the 3 cars built for TLB didnt have a straight axle it stayed factory suspension with a 454 th400 combo
That is a 18436572 thing , I would not understand.
