I just found your channel and I really enjoy it. I'm a former D1 pitcher and after 7-8 years I decided to help assistant coach. I'm in some of the best physical shape of my life, but as we both know that doesn't mean squat for arm health/strength. I bit the bullet and have had fun with softball and throwing a softball has been so easy. Recently I tried stepping on the mound to help some of their hitter and it felt like my arm just exploded. I'm talking lateral epicondylitis, distal bicep pain/inflammation (at the elbow) and some shoulder impingement as well. It is all aches/sore and nothing super serious but it blew me away how going back down to 3/4 instead of the outfield over the top throw destroyed my arm again. So I've been trying to get things moving smoothly again with some bands, cuff work, and leaving on a compression sleeve. I'm only about 5-6 videos in but if you had any pearls of wisdom I'd be so grateful. Thanks a lot!

Nothing to do with your video but info have a question, how do you feel about using a heavy ball for my 10 year old. Was giving to him by his uncle as a xmas gift. I just believe not the way to go.
I think there are other, safer ways he can do to unlock velocity first!

I have a question about gym routines for pitchers. I am making my debut as a pitcher this season and want to start a routine to improve myself and be the best possible pitcher I can be when the season starts. Now I heard bench presses aren't good for your shoulders. Is this accurate and would dumbell presses be better?
Edit: I am aware legs etc are more important btw. I just want to have some chest exercises in my routine aswell
