    Hey Tim. Happy New year. Nice Vieo! Interesting drone. I got one for Christmas and am just getting good at flying it indoors. It's a simple one but it has a camera. Nothing usable for creating content but still fun. Your's is much more advanced! Congratulations on the popular video!

    Hey there! My hover is having some kind of issues when I activate the orbit mode. At some point, it records like on the opposite site and not the objective (not sure how to explain it) I’m worried my shots are not looking good 😭

    Thank you for making this video - nice shoreline. It's a lot of money for me -- So, I am watching at least 100 videos. :) So far in other videos I have watched - I like the dolly view the best, as well as the noise filter. I'd like to see how fast you can run at it in dolly mode - Is it catchable? And exactly what happens when the battery runs out in flight - does it land or fall? Can you disable the voice notifications on the drone - because that seems to me to be a battery waster - unless there is a warning for low battery. What would happen if it landed in a small puddle or fine sand? - I think it needs some detachable landing legs to keep the belly of it from getting wet in case of a ground landing.

    • @4T-Tech
      @4T-Tech  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hi John - thanks for the comment and questions. I can answer some of these now - I don't know how fast it'll go as I'll probably collapse running before I outpace it! If it runs out of battery it will enter landing procedure and try and land where it is - but it won't care if it's suitable landing point, it will just go for it so hopefully it's on flat land! Yes, you can certainly disable the voice notifications as they are a bit annoying. It won't care about where it lands, so will get wet in a puddle or on fine sand etc. It's always best to just either grab it from the air or put the hand underneath for it to land on your soft palm 😀

      @@4T-Tech A friend of mine just bought himself a DJI mini 2 for Xmas - but, I like the vlogability (if thats a word) of this drone better. Maybe it's the lense I like? I dont like and am concerned with the battery life of 10 minutes. May I suggest another video from you detailing how you manage the short battery life - do you use a stop watch? Do use a power bank? If so, what brand powerbank and can the power bank keep your batteries (assuming you have extras) charged without too much wait in between battery swaps? There is no SD card - correct? so, how do you move or transfer videos to your phone or computer? anyway -- sorry I probably sound like a pesky kid asking a million questions, but at 59 years old, I have had my fair share of buyers remorse. - Thanks

    Hi! Great vid. Does it need to be registered with the government? Here in the states you have to register the Fantom with the FAA. Thanks

    • @4T-Tech
      @4T-Tech  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi - in theory in the UK it should be registered as it has a camera even though it is less than 250g. But since it can't really fly too far from the user - I don't think it can cause too much mayhem unlike other drones. As long as the user doesn't annoy other people, I don't think the CAA will be too strict.

    I just purchased this drone, and I like it! But there are pros and cons. On the positive side, it does most of what it says it does; on the negative side, there is only a 10 or 12-minute battery life, even though it comes with two batteries, and it takes up to 4 hours to charge 1 battery. I see the advertising showing people getting followed on their bikes; I guess the bike ride is less than 10 minutes long. There is minimal instruction on how to use it; also, when sharing the video or picture, it's not as clear as the original. I had to research CZcams to find out how to work things; with that being said, I give it a 7.5 out of 10 rating.

    • @bigglyguy8429
      @bigglyguy8429 Před 6 měsíci +1

      4 hours? You need to change your plug or cable or something. Mine charges in less than an hour on the drone, 35 minutes using the dual charger (and for some reason I got 3 batteries, 2 plus 1 already on the drone). You're right it's not a flying Gopro for the whole bike ride, the idea is to pull over, pull it out your pocket, pull off a wheelie or whatever while it watches, put it back in your pocket and continue your ride.

    • @4T-Tech
      @4T-Tech  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi - thanks for the comment. I agree with @bigglyguy8429 - a 4 hours charge is definitely not right. Yes, mine is the same maybe 1 hour or so on the drone and much less on the charger. Check that you are only charging one device at a time and not a low powered 12W USB-A socket. Should be USB-C 30W and above.
      Like @bigglyguy8429 said, this Hover is not meant to follow an entire cycle ride, it's just for doing quick shots perhaps a min or so at a time max. Whip it out the pocket, do a shot, pop it back in. Even DJI drones £1000 batteries only go for about 20 mins or so.

    Great video, Will it follow other objects other than yourself? Like a Radio controlled car or animals/pets as an example?

    • @4T-Tech
      @4T-Tech  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi! Thanks for the comment and question - unfortunately not, it's only going to follow humans. In fact it refuses to fly until it can memorize the beautiful human face before it launches! However, it's possible to fly it manually with a mobile, so could sort of follow an animal if you are really nimble with the fingers 😀

    • @4T-Tech
      @4T-Tech  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi Jim, that's an interesting question. As the hover has no object avoidance on the side I think it would probably not get through doors or crash into things in follow mode. But I think it might be possible to do it in custom mode, manually controlling the drone. I think I'll have an experiment, thanks for the question

      Hi - as it's under 250g for CAA / EURO rules, in theory, as it has a camera it should have an Operator ID. But as it can't fly too far unlike a DJI drone, I doubt you'd get stopped and asked for anything. But an Operator Id costs £10 for a year so not expensive to be safe.

    I bought it while they were crowd-funding. It was pretty shitty for the first few months because it only launched 20% of the time. • @adriennetravels
      @adriennetravels Před 5 měsíci +1

      @4T-Tech they are not taking responsibility. They requested the app log which I provided to them but then they never told me what the logs said or gave me a solid reason for what happened. I explained the situation to them and gave them pictures of the scene and at first they tried to say it was because I flew over the ocean (I didn't). Then said it was because I was in zoom out mode (I was in orbit). They then said it was because I bumped it. I have bumped it many times and it has also bumped into many things and never few away. This was the first time that happened. They offered to repair it at cost or give me a discount for a replacement.
