I just cannot manage to sit these tires (I use innter tubes). Also even inserting on the wheel is extremely hard (impossible with hands). Strange that your tires "pop" in place upon deflation. On a video from Schwalbe it pops when inflating. Any insights?
I have been running these tyres for the last couple of years and their a hit and miss to install some will go easy and every now and then their impossible to install and straight to the bike shop. Once their on they're bullet proof love and hate these tyres.
Hello solocyclist. Unfortunately my experience with those tires are similar to yours. I have found out, that more often than not, the biggest culprit is the rim tape doesn’t seal properly. Cheers.
Tubeless offer much better puncture resistance (not even close) and a better ride, however they are more difficult to install. Personally I prefer tubeless over inner tube.
@@ClassicCyclingCC that*s strange. the video gave me the distinct feeling that you felt tubeless was frustrating, complex, costly , messy and absurd. also, I alternate riding between 3 road bikes, at best, sealant lifespan is 6 months. that represents a min. of 12 refills. also, tubeless tends to leak, and take you by surprise. I average approx. 4 flats yearly over the last 35 yrs.. Montreal/Laval roads, I guess are just superior compared to U.S. roads
Each his own my friend but I strongly disagree with you. I personally believe tubeless tires are vastly superior to inner tubes for 3 reasons: They are almost puncture proof, they offer a more comfortable ride, and when you have the hang of it they are not difficult to install. I am now able to change both front and rear tubeless in a few minutes with no fuss. I will concede, however, that it took me a little while to get there and I did go through my share of frustrations in learning how to install tubeless. But in the end, I would say it was worth it. I am a huge proponent of tubeless and I will personally never go back to inner tubes. All that being said, there is no right or wrong. In the end it is a purely a question of personal preferences. Schwalbe one TLE 28mm is the easiest tubeless set up ever I've have done just regular pump no problem tubeless easy it is!

you may have heard of the K.I.S.S. principle. tubeless implies simplicity. it is not. 80 gr. inner tubes work far better.
