Here at I Could Murder A Podcast we like to fixate on the big details... Was PJK a Casanova or a Catfish?
last week we had an eel man so it's only fitting that this week we have a catfish.
I wouldn’t shag him but I’m a straight man n he’s a serial killer tbf
I'm going cassanova!
Tom cracking himself out of an egg was a real highlight.
Poor Ben does talk himself into some strange corners :)
Loving the podcast! There’s so many true crime pods out there that cover big killers so I’m glad you’re looking for some less well known killers to cover. Would be great to learn about some serial killers from outside the US! Maybe some from the UK or Europe as I’ve never came across anyone who discusses killers from other regions. Keep up the good work and I’m already looking forward to next weeks episode.
You should cover Levi Bellfield - I lived in Surrey and was a teenager when these murders took place, remember being scared as a teenage girl walking home from the school bus stop because of these attacks.
That sounds scary Amelia. Thanks for the suggestion. I am sure he is on our list somewhere!
I agree, it looks like he was responsible for the Russell family murders that Michael Stone was convicted for as well. There was a two part documentary and the second part that clearly implicates Bellfield has been removed from the internet for some reason.
He was one the worst ever. Truly evil. He murdered Milly Dowler as well. So distressing.
I lived near Twickenham at the time and got the bus past the common where he killed the French girl. Terrible. He ran another girl over twice and she survived by some miracle - her 999 call is horrifying. She went on to testify against him as I remember. Brave girl.
@@sPoNdOoLa Manhunt by Collin Sutton (the office who brought him to justice) is a really great account of how they caught him.
Loved this second pod guys! Surprising how unknown he is considering the number of people he killed, was great to hear an episode on a case I knew nothing about! Can't wait to see what case is coming next week, would love to see some UK cases! xx
Nice one Ellie! Tune in next week....
In the catfish pic, he reminds me of Clint Eastwood in The Good, the Bad and The Ugly
Nice podcast guys, I enjoyed it
I love that you've called it the catfish pic! I take that as you've agreed with me.
I found you guys from JaackMaate. Love true crime and also from an investigation stand point. Great job so far guys.
when we having them mugs as merch then lads
Check out our insta! Mugs are now available!
great podcast guys! really enjoyed episode 1 and this one too! keep it up :D
This podcast is going to be huge. Really enjoying it and glad to be in near the start!
That’s so, so kind guys! Thank you so much. Happy to have you on board :)
I'm really enjoying this pod - the video editing adds so much to it, all the little graphics and funny effects are great! Tom being an egg is a particular highlight.
The weird mouth thing that Ben does, isn't particularly annoying, i didnt notice it till yous said and now its just funny.
Looking forward to more episodes!
Nice one Eve. I will, of course, let Ben know how annoying it is.
@@ICouldMurderAPodcast I said its not that annoying! 😂😂 its funny. Obviously the mic makes him do it..
@@eveflorence2303 the mic has literally 0 to do with it haha
@@ICouldMurderAPodcast he just likes making excuses! Bless him.
Great ep lads. just rewatched this since I'm waiting for S3 to come out lol
Another solid show. Our friend, the killer, might not have murdered young boys not only for (as you suggested) seeing himself in them, but also from the reforming home he was in - the thought or sight of another young boy being tortured could turn his stomach, be too nostalgic.
Also, A+ for the hole-in-the-foot comedy clips. That just secured my girlfriend as a fan of the show too!
That's a great theory Gavin. Haha who doesn't love a bit of Alan?
I love this podcast. I never want it to stop.
another great pod guys!
Another great one. Thanks guys.
I shall encourage my true crime fan friends to check you out.
this is the quickest thing i clicked on

-____- someone should really update wikipedia! the girlfriend at the very beginning was even warned by a medium using astrology/intuition - serving as a premonition of sorts...
Well done, lads! Looking forward to future episodes XOXO
Great spot! Let’s get on that Wikipedia Update train! Thank you so much for the kind words X
@@ICouldMurderAPodcast I study criminology and a fan of the podcast! I saw it here first - Cheers!
love these podcasts already!
Glad to have you on side M T!
U guys are so funny! I just found this channel yesterday and I love it!
The adams family shock game just unlocked a core memory, oh my god I wouldn't go near them haha. Another great episode chaps!
Loving the podcast, I think the Dark Knight shooting is an interesting topic to cover at some point!
second podcast n yous are already in me top 3👏🏻👊🏻
So when can we get our own version of the ICMAP mug?
Check out our insta! Mugs are now available!
You’re getting better and better guys, love ❤️ your humour 😻
You are absolutley fantastic! I´m totally in love! 🙂🙂🙂😄 Best podcast, ever! Please keep up the great work! I guess I would have to join up with patreon too, cause this is good stuff. You are both great storytellers, I really like listening to you. I might even have to order some mugs at a point (for my mom and me 🙂) You really make a rainy sommerday so much better to excist in! Greetings from Oslo.
Another cracking episode boys. Can wait for the new series
Oh my goodness, this case keeps getting more and more interesting and bizarre in equal measure! I have just discovered this podcast and I’m hooked. I love true crime and the detail that you guys go into. Have you thought about covering Jodi Arias? I am part way through watching 190 videos on a playlist of the full trial! It’s a big commitment!
Thank you so much! Jim can’t swim does an amazing Jodi Arias episode - not sure that we could compete with the king!
If you like JCS, you guys should check out Matt Orchard - Crime and Society if you don’t already subscribe. Also TT Criminological breakdown is good too. Then you have my absolute favourite Scott at True Crime Loser. Just some ideas to check out if you don’t already. I am telling my army of true crime junkies all about your podcasts too now as they are fast becoming a real favourite of mine too, love the detail you put in and the interaction between you. I see big things ahead for your channel. 🙂 Keep it up! Also on an unrelated but humorous note, my friend mentioned that she thinks Tom looks like a dead ringer for Simon Denton of Alan Partridge fame and now I can’t get that out of my head every time I watch your show!
The picture you first showed of him reminds me of Dennis Wilson who I fancied the arse off . It worries me in a sense as the 60's/70's are my favourite eras and if he was the approach me in a bar I would go for it! A sobering thought lol. Thanks for this hunnnies 🌹
I think Ben would probably go for it, too. Looking back on this episode 😂 glad you enjoyed!
@@ICouldMurderAPodcast ♥️ will keep watching for sure. Am curious and going from one extreme to the other ... ever considered doing Chernobyl? Not officially a murder i know but I love the attention to detail. You intrigue me. Sorry if I sound a bit odd lol
I don’t think we could top the excellent sky atlantic series on Chernobyl but that would be an interesting one for sure
@@ICouldMurderAPodcast yep that was a fab fab series. Just throwing suggestions your way. Sleep tight 😘
what equipment do you guys use? found your episode on saville yesterday and ive almost listened to all of your episodes! im hooked! love it
Thanks Roisin! I will have to get Tom to reply as he knows a lot more about the equipment than I do! We use RODE mics and that’s about as far as my knowledge goes!
@@ICouldMurderAPodcast awh cheers Ben and obviously no rush! thanks for replying!
Keep up the good work.xx
theses are great
I did not imagine Ben and Tom to look like this when I was listening to the podcast on Spotify
🤔 I hope we didn't disappoint 😂
@@ICouldMurderAPodcast nooo ofc not! I didn’t mean it like that! 😂
Hi, great work again! And a very late response, I'm backtracking through and 'binging' your series at the moment you'll be pleased to hear. Excellent podcast!
In answer to your question at the start, I think that whilst it's potentially more difficult for serial killers to find strangers to kill, the unfortunate fact of a global pandemic is that some people are shut at home with people who are abusive or may develop a form of psychosis made worse by the pandemic, fear and confusion. I think that due to this and 'cabin fever' there has probably been a bit more of a spike in killings or attempted killings of those who know each other personally.
Bad time to be a indiscriminate stranger-on-stranger serial killer, probably an excellent time for people who might choose to kill friends or relatives, especially given all the delays in sentencing, court dates, and the police being pretty much overwhelmed!
I feel that in the future, you guys may well be covering a number of murders/crimes that happened during the pandemic, which is terrifying, but at the same time I'm sure you'll lay out the facts in an enjoyable/funny podcast... just don't kill each other, please guys.
Also, chronic tutting is a deadly and almost exclusively British disease Ben. You should see a doctor.
This is a lovely thought out reply Paul! You raise some very interesting points. We have just about managed to hold off from killing each other just yet. But we will have to see what the future brings!
I did notice the mouth click straight away because I suffer from Misophonia 😂
Does not bother me though, thankfully because I am loving the podcasts.
Binge watching here! Well done 👏🏻
Ben has misophonia too, ironically! 😂
Pleaseeee do purple aki
Your podcast has turned me celibate, that’s now 2 guys I’ve had encounters with who are modern day lookalikes for serial killers.
Dougie for one, who is the other!?
Sutcliffe!
Oh, wow! Someone still rocking that look in 2020? Also, what a line - “your podcast has turned me celibate” 😭
I mean this was around 2016 and I did actually have to go to the police about him, it was like if Sutcliffe had a shave and a haircut.
i think that during the pandemic is a good time to be a serial killler, because there are more deserted places, not so deserted that you lack victims, but deserted enough that when you find a victim there are no witnesses
There’s also THREE Casanova killers then as Rodney Alcala was known by that moniker too.
I had a friend who enjoyed the office so much that David Brent actually kinda subconsciously infested parts of his own personality. Tom reminds me of my friend. It’s an affliction that Tom has found a way to profit from. Well done ......... my friends a school teacher
Haha it's a balancing act between him and Partridge. I will try to do better 🙌🏻
More more lads
wait, wasnt Richard Speck's dad called "benjamin franklin" something? holy shit
YES! I (Ben) did mention PJK’s parents in the Speck episode but it got cut from the edit 😂
lol..I've always thought that as well: He literally had ONE good photo. Where he looks all 'Hollywood badass'. All the other photos, he just looks like any old bloke struggling with meth or what not.
It's called suicide by cop. He wanted to die, instead of living in jail. He attacked a cop and got shot because of it.
Unfortunately, the only word we have is that of the police who were there.
LED ZEPPELIN !
The best time is on Halloween imo
Picked the lock pissed up? Have a word with your police stations America. Although probably not as simple locks now. I hope.
Keep up the good work fellas and stay safe.
Thank you mate!
I subscribed for the lip smacks
Narration was sav-age
I say both
👌
Imagine being married to a murderer during q.
If you pause the video at 23:11 it looks like a bad with the I could murder over the pictures of the two little girls
Oh shit!
My name’s alex curtis and I thought you said my name when you said the old lady’s name and I was shitting myself lmao
loving the podcast! you guys are so fucking underrated
Haha Alex Curtis and his Yellow Dodge Demon! Thank you so much for listening, we really appreciate it ❤️💀
Pandemics are possibly a bad time to be a maniac killer. Not that I know..lol I didn't put to much thought into this reply 😅 😂 💀 🤣
😂
Dhamer was the 90s boys , not the same time as Bundy and him
His first Murders were in the 70s mate.
what is it with you guys and comparing serial killers to sea creatures?
You wait until the next epsiode...
I can not watch this, you guys gripe at each other too much, I really tried for 5 minutes
Solid effort. Thanks for trying!
It's called banter, it's a British thing, and actually a sign of closeness. You only rip the piss that hard if you're really good friends.
