Don’t listen to the haters - this is a great demo of the pedal. You allow the listener to actually hear the sound quality of the delays - which is essential to demonstrate the uniqueness of this pedal. You don’t distract from or drown out the effects with pointless noodling. Nice job! Great pedal!

Well I think this demo showed off the gorgeous character of the repeats and modulation perfectly. Boss/Roland have been sneaking out future-classic gear under the noses of the overpriced boutique brands, and long may it continue.

Hi Keaton , which guitar pick ups did you use in that Strat ? sounds good , and amazing demo , think i might want to get that Delay ! Greetings
The pickups in this Strat were the Handwired Poblano Strat set which sounded awesome. We were going through a Fender Princeton reverb too just in case you wanted to know :)
@@guitarguitaruk Thank you Keaton , i'm gonna look then up see which magnets and all specs , I use a fender showman head and need two single coils mid ,neck , in bridge have EVH fankenstein 14,5 k hum.pickup , its alnico II, Thanks again , (i need a good match !*_*)
Probably the best DM-101 Demo so far. After using the Multi-head mode, do you think Boss made the RE-202 redundant? Or would you say the 202 is unique enough to warrant owning both?
I own the RE 202 and it s a Beast. It's worth owning on it s on.
The RE-202 still has a place on a board :) absolutely they can achieve similar things but the RE-202 has a lot more reverb stuff
Thanks, Boss we needed another delay pedal. Next, maybe you could build a Tubescreamer clone? There isn't enough of those either.

Boss’ response to the Suhr Discovery?
I've tried the Suhr Discovery a couple of times, and even though it has some very nice features, sonically I wasn't very impressed. It sounded overly thick, and the Mix knob was a bit clunky, it was either too much or too little. Also the modulation was just meh... not very inspiring IMHO.
I had the Suhr Discovery for about a year but it doesn't sound nearly as good as this. Not even on 18 volts. It kinda disappointed me.

This pedal is not designed cleverly. It is really NOT stereo since there are NO two inputs for a stereo. Second, the pedal does not have ¨kill dry¨ on outputs, and some ¨kill dry¨ options that its manual states it has, are actually WRONG. For example, each output should have dry/wet pot in order to be able to place the dry sound in a stereo field. Also one must have stereo in and stereo out, meaning that delay is usually NOT the first pedal on the pedalboard but rather, the last one. Etc. Other objections too ... these pedals are NOT designed by guitarists who actually use pedalboards with various pedals... It is good that it is analog (digital pedals are bad in general) and some other features are good (such as TAP tempo, which is a MUST for proper rhytm with delays in music).
Eventide pedals, among others, leave an annoying ' colour ' or ' smear ' over the sound, I've never liked them, especially in studio production,.

Sucks that CZcams recommends people make weird faces in their thumbnails. Looks really silly.
Terrible demo pointless tuneless playing , get better players to demo ,it does nothing to show its capabilities.
