In this video HC and I showcase another 5 things that you might not know about in Titanfall 2. We show various things that can be caught in a Gravity Star, what else a Smart-Pistol can target, such as the MLG, Ark Grenades and more. Also how to remove fire attacks with the 'fire-star' off a Titan using unique abilities with Ronin, ION and Scorch and tons more.

Smart pistol MK5 Description: The Smart Pistol scans for hostile targets within a short range, locking onto them automatically. Any rounds fired will then maneuver to hit the locked targets. Aiming with the iron sights allows the operator to use the pistol in manual targeting mode.

Number 6: if your being executed with the grand theft semi auto or 2-3-2 combo execution, have another pilot save you at the part of the execution when your helmet is blown off so that when you are saved, your helmet will be gone and be left with your head mask. Please try this one and give me credit in the video you show it please?

+MLG MCG the grand theft semi auto only needs one shot to kill so the only way to save someone from grand theft semi auto is to kill the player before he shoots

For anyone who doesn't know, the SMR was called the Sidewinder in the first game, and was an anti-titan weapon.

I got a really random tip but since tone is the most popular titan i'd say it's a good tip, the 40mm has splash dmg, and if the splash damage connects, the red markers still get applied

the smart pistol can lock onto your own ticks after you throw them in mid air to get them out of the disk form there in when you trow them

When you're inside the fold weapon don't say anything to BT and when he'll throw you into the air he'll say goodbye instead of trust me

I feel like this video should be updated with another video. For example, disembarking and reembarking into an ion titan will refill the energy automatically.
If you melee before the enemy titan's melee connects you will knock them back, causing them to miss the melee, this can be repeated indefinitely if the person being melee'd is unaware, it's called a melee pin/boxing. To counter: You simply wait until they melee you once, then melee pin them instead. The fastest titan melee in the game? Ion. You can grab people with the grapple when they eject.
There are multiple spots across various maps such as edges of buildings, trees, even the satellite dish on kodai, and the tower of angel city that a northstar can stand on, insert video examples of all spots*. If you activate your flight core before hitting the ground when falling from a hover, you will go twice as high. Putting you out of range of ronin's sword core. When scorch, legion, or ion is holding their shield, you can shoot them in the foot.
Flame shield and vortex shield has a activation latency that can be abused. So even though you see it, for a short period of time, the shield isn't actually active. Very handy for legions fighting ion's. Which leads me to the next tip, if you dash diagonally at a 45 degree angle as legion whilst an enemy ion holds her shield up, you can hit her from the side since the vortex shield is only a cone in front of ion.
Both ronin and northstar can cross over the pit on war games. An ion or scorch tilting their defensive down towards the ground can intercept ronin's arc waves.
If an ion is rodeo'd by a friendly pilot with an r97 and has the kit vortex amplifier equipped, the ion looks straight up, which will allow the pilot to fill ion's vortex shield for a lot of damage. It's crazy strong, but a meme strategy that shouldn't be considered for higher tier play.
There is a bug where if an ion holds her laser, puts down her tripwire and then fires the laser, it will be for free. Effectively improving energy management.
If you cluster missile directly after a railgun shot it will remove a short cooldown animation and allow you to begin charging your railgun a tiny bit sooner.
With ronin, if you melee or arc wave mid reload, it will normally just restart the reload with the barrel held in the air. But if you do it just when your barrel touches your leadwall shotgun, the barrel will instead spin in. This is a reload animation cancellation, when done correctly it increases DPS since it saves you time. Doing this cancellation is more forgiving with the melee animation, meaning you can do it slightly sooner and still get the barrel to be spun into te gun.
You can arc wave over certain structures that are about at stomach height by standing right next to it. The low center building on boomtown. All boxes in the mid section of Kodai. The middle walls in angel city. The plane in the back of eden. The plane in the back of war games. There are more, but these are the ones' i could remember.
There are plenty of spots that you can straight up walk up onto in a titan that seem like obstacles. The rock formation on exoplanet near the two large silos. The low walls surrounding the center tower on angel city. Also on AC, the thin wall with a little building attached to it near the open field, is also something you can walk over or on. Which allows you to stand on that building. The building will protect you from a flame core.
This was just off the top of my head, their are more things that i can remember. About pilot play as well as more titan stuff :)
I am a bit late if commenting but I figured out that scorch and ion just have to look down to get fire star off from behind
will electric smoke extinguish firestars in general?
Numero 7 : Your Electric Smoke is NOT charged when you drop your titan. Which is absolute BS. It means an enemy can steal your battery the moment your dome shield drops and there's not a damn thing you can do to stop it. Instead of being on a cooldown like other titan abilities, it's part of your core meter, like the boosts rely on your titan build meter when your're a pilot. That means your electric smoke is a rare commodity, and should only ever be used to counter rodeoing pilots or, if you're really desperate, trying to prevent other titans from shooting you. The Electric Smoke prevents weapons that require lock-ons from locking on to you. Smart Pistols, Smart Core, Archer Rockets, Tone's tracker rockets, etc.
So consider wisely when to best use your Electric Smoke or, if you don't want to worry about it so much, take the kit that gives your electric smoke two charges. It'll frustrate tone players to no end, if nothing else.
Fun fact: electric smoke (titan abilities and the grenade) can also extinguish scorch's incendiary traps.
With the grav star, it would be good to clear out rooms by throwing it in the room and firing at it.

Could you test what happens if an arche rocket gets caught in a gravity star? I wonder if it messes with the lock on and just gets sent out in a straight line or if it still goes for the target.

You can also catch ejecting pilots with the gravity star as they exit the cockpit.

you can tell if some one has an amped weapon or not cause if they shot the bullets will have a blue effect on them

obviously the best counter to the Firestar is ronin but personally I like ion counter and also I didn't know you can counter the Firestar with scorch and ion
For the grav star, does it have any effect at all on core abilities? Like can it stop the missiles from a Flight Core or Salvo Core?
We tried a couple like salvo core, it didnt seem to do anything.
That is incredibly disappointing. One of my favorite things about the gravity star is how it can insta kill reapers if you tag them with one right as they start shooting. All of their projectiles pull a 180 and they kill themselves. Was really hoping you could do something similar to Tone lol.

I threw a frag at a pilot who was rodeoing my friend and smart pistoled it mid air to kill him. I call it the "smart grenade"
You can just use overcore instead and have an added bonus(30% on your core metre)
